Hello, and welcome to the Aritone channel! If you are into tone chasing, shootouts, modding, deep dives and fun experiments, I think you'll enjoy the contents here! I feature guitar related content covering everything from the broad topic of guitars, pedals, amps, to all the in between details like tubes, op amps, transistors and diodes. While I try to keep everything relatively easy to understand and not too technical, there is also the occasional deep dive shootout and in depth circuit analysis.

Overdrive To Fuzz! Ibanez Session Man SS10 vs 2 RAT Style Distortion Pedals [Tone Comparison]

The Ibanez Session-Man SS10 has become somewhat of a collectible pedal and it's value has increased quite a bit, from what was once an obscure 2-in-1 style pedal.
I recently had the opportunity to borrow this pedal from my best friend and decided to put it through its paces against two other RAT-inspired distortion pedal. We'll play through the "sweet spot" distortion, a nice crunch overdrive, and max gain fuzz-like tones.

The Guyatone/Nady TO-2 is a rare and special pedal in that it is a "real" tube pedal running the plates at a voltage of 184 volts!
