Not sure if it fits the space or budget but basic signal generators and scopes have become pretty affordable. With that you can feed a sine wave in an "see" the distortion. Great content either way!
Hi Justin, thanks for watching! Yeah, I've been looking at some of those affordable scopes, and think it would be interesting to see how the signal changes. But with guitars, there's so much involved like pickup type, bridge or neck, and most of all the amp and its response, it really ends up being about how it sounds and feels.
Thanks for the demos and comparisons. I appreciate the work you put into editing. It was especially nice to hear the difference that the Brilliance adjustments made. I liked the video.
Hi Dan, thanks for checking out my videos! And thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! The editing always takes up a lot of my time/effort so it's nice to get some positive feedback :)
When you parked the brilliance control all the way to minimum and the sound became very full-range, it immediately sounded like the Electro-Harmonix Hot Tubes pedal with the tone control switched out of circuit. (The EHX HT has a tone control in-out switch) 👍
Thanks for watching! I've never tried the EHX Hot Tubes, but yes, as you've noticed with the brilliance all the way down it sounds very full range super fat!

I happen to own one of these that I got solely because of the aesthetics, but genuinely feel in love with it sounds
Thanks for watching! Yes, the Guyatone pedals have a really cool look to them, with the fonts and color choices! And yes, this pedal sounds great!
Awesome video. I love to see unknown pedals like this.
Thanks for watching! Great to hear you enjoyed the video, thanks for the kind words!
Sounds like the NEXT pedals of the early 80s LOL That distortion was nasty! Sounds like the speaker is broken :P
Thanks for watching! Yeah, it's got a beautiful nasty tone! You're right! It totally sounds like a broken speaker!

I think low output is by default. Had to crank level all the way up on my pedal too. Even after replacing capacitators (was very noisy).
Thanks for the info! Good to know it's not just my unit that has this issue. Thanks for watching!
Guyalove !
YES!! Love Guyatone!
Sounds good nice and juicy! Well done. ✝️🎸
Thanks for watching! Great to hear you liked the tones from this pedal!
