Simmo was starting to throw the magnets around. But not so much within games. I thought it was good to see Schofield making strategic moves during games. But I fear that Schofield lacks the verbal and presentation skills that some other coaches have. So if Eagles lost ten games in a row and was besieged with press and criticism, I think he'd react or attract more criticism. Not his fault. Suma would have been the same and I fear Cox just doesn't have the same skills. Lets face it, Malthouse Worsfold and Simmo were really good communicators.

Simmo has been playing the kids. I think he saw the benefit in a a mix. Remember Ginby Chesser Long Ledwards Harley Maric Hough have been getting constant games. Hutchy got picked second game in. Barra, I thought your comment on the news, and again in yesterday’s The West Sport episode, that Simmo looked like a dead man walking, was disgusting and lacked class. In the press conference Simmo was all class while Pyke looked uneasy, inexperienced and lacked polish. Quarters, the front page of Wed's West was personal, hardly professional, and reeks of a vendetta against the Eagles. It was disgusting and a new low for the rag. The paper has become an embarrassment for WA people and a laughingstock for those in the east. Check out Wed AFL 360 for respected and award winning journos perspective on your paper.

Certainly disappointing to sack Simmo with 7 weeks to go. Should of had him coach out the season then move him on if needed.
