100% agree. Daisy Pearce is just trying to get an idea of how to coach an AFLW side. She is nowhere near the level required to coach and AFL men’s side. AFLW was basically like kids Footy with female adults. I know I’ve coached in that league for more than a decade. As far as Danielle Leadley goes, there’s no such person that’s played at the West Coast Eagles football club so I don’t know why they’d be offering that person a gig. It’s just pure virtue signalling by Barra.
Why does Jack Darling need 300, remember John Worsfold he didnt get picked in that last game...why the hell would WC need to nurse jack darling through several games to get to 300. It is insanity. Anyone who selects Darling from now needs to packup and leave as well.
I get no joy saying this but Darling selection for other forwards is what I believe is what broke the Camel back along with the results the last 4 weeks. I take my hat off to Gaffy for putting Simmo and the club first. Would have been a hard watch to play WAFL and see those few games we won.
sadly the sacking was two years too late………this team has been stagnating for two years and getting worse. JD was one of Simmo’s favourites and was guaranteed a game no matter what, don’t blame JD, blame Simmo for his lack of production….JD should have been traded and should be playing with a high power club right now…..
West Coast’s respect and reputation has taken a hammering over the last 3 years, from AFL powerhouse to AFL basket case. I think that bringing back Dean Cox would really help to help restore that respect and heal the trauma of the last 3 years.
Would have liked Simmo to coach till end of season. But it now gives us time to start having dialogue with Dean Cox. He is my preference with Hansen if he doesn’t want the gig.
Why didn’t any journalist ask Simmo his thoughts on why the team had performed so poorly with an almost full compliment of players. Missed opportunity.

Eagles nearly beat lions and everyone looked more solid. simmo had to go I love him but his time was over

Certainly disappointing to sack Simmo with 7 weeks to go. Should of had him coach out the season then move him on if needed. No way should any of the current staff be in consideration for the top job, part of the problem. Certainly not Buckley or Carr at West Coast. Harley should not listen to media, fantastic Barra about the leaks n correlation to Pyke n Simmo. 100% agree with Barra's take on thanking Simmo, he has been an absolute legend at the club

Pyke seems like a slimy bastard and gives of such an unprofessional Ora, Adam Simpson is a top bloke and deserves a lot of credit for what he’s done. I think half the eagles board should be kicked including Pyke. Something about that guy that makes me feel uneasy
