Peter Sumich is getting air time because he is speaking the truth about the Eagles. Just like Kane Cornes and others are over in the east. No one can refute what Sumich is saying because his points are all valid. He isn’t “marketable”. GREAT!!! I don’t care about a marketable coach! I want one that will win games! West Coast are more concerned about marketing themselves than they are about winning, which is why we are so shit. If they actually knew anything, the marketing people would tell Don Pyke that the best way to market the club and sell merchandise is to win games and eventually more premierships. Adam Simpson won our premiership because he had Sam Mitchell’s help. As soon as Mitchell left, Simpson’s philosophy went to shit. So fuck Simpson’s philosophy and get some like Sumich who only cares about football and winning. And as far as sacking the coach before the end of the season, it sends a message to everyone- especially the players- that no one is safe; if you don’t produce, you’re gone.
