I was at the show when the injury occurred. It was scary stuff. These wrestlers no matter where they are on the card or if they are in a famous story line, take deadly risks every time they go in the ring. All creds to Austin and Melo for recovering quickly

I'd argue that it helps give him a chip on his shoulders, a grievance, an edge. I'm not agreeing with the way they booked him but if everything went smooth for him, he'd be super boring. I chalk up this stage of his career as just paying dues. There's no other under 30 wrestler in the world that has the IT factor like he does, so he'll be alright. He's going to bounce back.

If the video circulating twitter today with him shutting down that journalist is actually a work and not real, then i have a guess that its part of a way to get the IWC on side and liking and respecting him more to eventually start off the face turn.
