@undeadpandaproductions I completely understand where you stand and honestly my feelings are quite the same. I was a massive Tommy fan growing up. When I watched the series again as an adult. I liked the Jason Red Ranger Character more than when I was a kid. And then getting into watching interviews and panels. I think early in the comic con market jdf was in that mma stage line you said. It was rather boisterous, and didn't come off very humble. It became harder and harder to really be a big fan of his with the way he carried himself. That doesn't mean I hate/hated him.

I am with you, I feel this is a beef between the two of them and us as fans don't need to take a side. The way people are going after ASJ (Which is only a select group of people) is getting to be harmful to the fandom. I hope that people can see that there is no reason to go after ASJ in order to somehow uplift JDF's legacy.

@@mightymorphinconspiracythe5024 It is a cheap and easy way for Paramount to get new content for their streaming platform yearly if you look at it that way. Personally if they did do a PR show aimed at toddlers I feel like it'd be a rescue based season similar to paw patrol and transformers rescue bots. Unless they think that would conflict too much with paw patrol.

I think things are a lot different from the 90s. They never really put a lot of effort into an animated series. And I think the only big mistake of the 2017 movie was that they approached it as a teen movie with some super heroes. But It's actually an action movie with teenagers in it.

@ The 2017 movie had two problems 1) was marketing and release date, and the 2) was it taking way to long to suit up the Rangers. Other than that the film is a good origin story. The other problem I have with this is you. You are dooming this project before it starts for exactly the reason you stated you don’t like. It’s not what you want. It a movie, and it’s probably going to be live action. So it’s not Animated so what. It doesn’t have to be. So instead of putting out there “This is a terrible idea” and being like the naysayers and dooming it before it’s starts. Try looking at it for what it is a chance for the brand to continue. It could be awesome we have to wait and see. Also please stop talking about Once and Always being a failure. It wasn’t. It was a success. Any sequel was never more than speculation. As it was intended as a one shot. As for toy sales blame Hasbro, no one can buy what they don’t release.

@matthewrosenthal753 you are misunderstanding what I am saying. I will go and support any movie that is produced. I will see it multiple times. I want power rangers to succeed. Whether I, individually, like or not isn't the issue. We have seen Power Rangers fail at that level for quite a while. If it's going to succeed it needs more attention. I hope that Paramount Plus sees the fans saying they want it to be cared for and crafted. But most companies will can it if it doesn't turn a profit first try. And Saban did that in 2017. Once and Always, and stated by Johnny Yong Bosch, was a test to see if a full series was worth the money. He has talked about it in panels. It was definitely intended to set up a universe to build on but as we see that didn't happen. I'm not sure how much of my stuff you've seen but I try to always stay positive but this is one thing I don't see working if they are going to try and cash grab a big budget movie.

MMPR: The Movie, which was very successful, was Saban’s first attempt. Power Rangers 2017 was his 3rd. It was badly marketed, and released against some heavy hitters it should have avoided. That being said the biggest complaint anyone had was that it too long to get the team morphed. I don’t pay much attention to what actors say. Once and Always was good for what it was. The fact remains that PR needs good writing, Producers that let the writers create characters and a fan base that doesn’t run out and say “This is a bad idea that’s going to fail” before they have even Officially announced that it is happening. We need to be positive and supportive. This is not. I used to watch more of your videos but I stopped because I found them to be very negative even if hidden behind positive wording. This one is a good example.

@matthewrosenthal753 im sorry if you feel I'm negative. Honestly not sure where you get that from because I always try to give fair rundowns of everything. Even if a season to me isn't great I still try to find the positives out of it. I believe I do that quite effectively, but everyone has their own interpretation. If my content seems to be negative to you. Then I would say it's best not to watch it. Because I don't want it to put you in a bad head space. The final thing I will say is that I am bring honest with this movie idea. You are in a round about way trying to blame me for this movie potentially failing. I am putting this out there so that if Paramount wants to research and see what the fans think they might see a different path that could be used. Nothing is going to change if no one says anything. I truly see this as a big gamble. If it is an amazing movie, I'm all for it and no matter what I will support the movie. But I am not going to put my head in the sand and pretend this is a full proof plan. You are welcome to see it that way. But I think this could potentially ruin Power Rangers to gamble it all on the hopes of one successful movie.

I don't think there was anything about Austin not having enough presence. The Sentai footage had a 6th ranger so they had to get someone for it.

Honestly if they dubbed it I would love to watch it. I just don't have time to watch it all the way through reading subtitles.

@MasterFhyl canceled is a relative term. He's still at cons, and still has long lines of people getting pictures and autographs. I think the people who want to cancel him talk as if fans hate him but it's not as big as they think.

I would hate to reboot and lose the 30 year universe that's been created. Hopefully they will find people with a passion for it

@mightymorphinconspiracythe5024 thank you very much, I feel like doing a hard reboot and being like "hey this reboot for power rangers will be a chaper 2 for the franchise. Meaning that we can start from scratch, but the last 30 years will be respected as the beginning chapter of the franchise". Would give hasbro and paramount a clean slate. Because with that they can create their own Lore without being held back by the decent but inconsistent Lore that power rangers had for the overarching part. Plus it would allow to "fix out" or improve power rangers seasons that didn't go well (like supermegaforce or operation overdrive) like imagine if could get a proper alien rangers animated series or a show that would give us what we deserved from supermegaforce. They basically would have all the tools to create a new book instead of trying to fit their pages into an overflowing book. I agree with you wholeheartedly that they should be on the lookout for passionate collaborators. That will make or break this whole movie. But I still believe that the best and smartest financial move would be to make 2 separate shows. I even have an idea for the animated one already.

@mightymorphinconspiracythe5024 my idea for the animated series would be called "Power Rangers Chi Legacy: The Cartoon" and yes the "the cartoon" part is important for branding purposes because of the reboot live action show if they were to go the dual series mode. Anyways chi legacy would be about 5 families who over generations protected and trained their assembled chi power (fire, water, lightning, wind and earth). Each family follows their own living and moral code established by their element. Time skip to present day our rangers also have their respective chi powers, but since the threat of the dark forces have been sealed away (or so they thought) by their grandparents, they weren't actively trained to fight. Now with the dark forces being back and wanting not only revenge on the families, but also wanting to destroy earth our chi legacy rangers need to come together and train under the guidance of their families to face the thread. Obviously we would have the usual color assignment (red= fire, blue= water, yellow= lightning, pink= wind and black=earth). Another point is that each ranger would have their own zord that has been passed down in each of their families for generations. But they obviously can be combined to form the chi legacy zord. And another important factor is that in my take, the rangers don't have morphers since their powers comes from within their own chi power. It's like naruto or avatar the last Airbender in that way. Last but not least I would use the suits from MASKMAN for the chi legacy rangers, since the whole premise of maskman is chi/aura power. Also the series would have a total of 50 episodes (like in sentai) but they would be split into 25 episodes across 2 seasons.

@Wolfblue7 i thin over time and with streaming, people are more picky. There are more options. Thats why you see star wars making the young jedi show and all their other content because they need a show for each age/demographic. It's being done with marvel too. I think power rangers is amazing but other shows have pinpointed what each demographic wants a little better. So it's getting outshines a bit. They just need to start competing in the same way.

Paulie! I honestly work sooooo hard to get good clips and I always want to use Power Ranger actors. I love finding them in other projects and getting those clips for videos. I don't think anyone has ever really pointed it out. So I truly appreciate it!

@mightymorphinconspiracythe5024 There's a shout factory for most seasons from 1991-2002, there's many options like kissaian and internet archives. The squid game isn't English dubbed, and it's the most popular show of 2021 and most people grew accustomed to watch Asian content through subs.

@johnnymarrero8011 if you listen to the video I am agreeing with you that paramount plus is a good place for power rangers. Growing its ip is something that would benefit it. Instead of putting $300,000,000 into a movie and hoping it has a big enough fan base that will come see it. Because it failed in 2017. Even though I loved that movie, it didn't do well im the masses. If they chose the slower approach and built it up we'd see longevity out of the franchise instead of gambling on a single movie to keep the franchise alive

@jamesstone404 I just dont see a world where they put this movie out and it saves the franchise. They always reference the Tranformer Movie back in the day as the goal. Like if we can strike gold with a movie it will save the franchise but that was years ago and it was very new. This genre has been done so many times that people are desensitized to it a bit. I think it needs more work to keep it going for a long time

@ I agree brother. It does always seem to recover with time, given the number of times it’s been cancelled only to be saved at the last second. But I hope they put the time & effort into selling my a good story rather than just putting out a money grab movie

@jamesstone404 me too! We all were hopefully when Saban bought it back but unfortunately he was just cashing in on the 20th anniversary. And then when the 2017 wasn't making a billion dollars he pitched it as quickly as he could

@ yes. If they really invest in the brand, I think they can make it interconnect with transformers or TMNT. Especially in the animated department. Would be fun, but hopefully that’s a long term plan

@ evil Ollie, it upset me, and because I was homeschooled as a kid, I felt like it demonized the homeschool community and wanted good leaning-double-agent Ollie who had the antidote work on him, but with the other Rangers reluctant consent, pretends that they antidote didn’t work on him in order to be the eyes and ears on the enemy for the other Rangers instead and I wanted that even before we were told about behind-the scenes circumstances, finding out about those make me want what I wanted even more.
