I think Tommy and Kimberly should’ve been the endgame couple. I know she broke up with him in Zeo, but I like to think in another ultra timeline, they get together and starts up another relationship second time. Then they eventually get married and have kids of their own. As I’m not a fan him being with Katherine and being endgame. I have nothing against her, I think she’s a good character and a Ranger. But I do not like her being in a relationship with Tommy as I think, she forced to be with Tommy as she’s another Pink Ranger. Who ended up with Tommy and they ended being endgame.

Kat & Tommy bonding over their shared mind controlled to ranger storyline kinda mirrors Matt & Sora from Digimon Adventures both being victims of the cave of darkness. Ironically, both pairings were disappointing for me as a kid because I wanted Tommy with Kim and Sora with Tai. However, growing up helps you realize that the first shipping/romance of a person's life isn't always the person they end up with. Life happens and sometimes someone even better comes along.

@DinoTechTurboCharge they gave a lot of time to Devon and Cassidy. Which I think they are really cool characters. But there is only so much time per episode and she got the short end of the stick

PR has meant so much to me, as an adult and as a kid, so seeing these videos always get me excited. Sadly, i still havent seen all the way from MMPR-Turbo to figure out how i feel about either relationship. But, i think that you made EXCELLENT points about Tommy and Kat. If i had to choose based on my curremt knowledge, i would say Kat too. Plus, i think it's awesome that Tommy has the most ranger forms while Kat has it for the girls. It just seems to fit. Lol
I like the development with Tommy & Kat more than just the high school romance of Kim & Tommy. You’re going to grow & change as a person. I’m grateful I met my now wife when I was just getting out of college, because I was at the stage in my life where I was ready to settle down. I think the problem is that people take it personally & say “what do you mean Kim’s not good for Tommy? She’s great!” And (at least in my opinion) I’m not saying she isn’t great. She has some amazing qualities for a relationship, but I just don’t think it was meant to last with Tommy. No relationship is ever without any problems or struggles, and I think Kimberly definitely grew & matured & hopefully is married to someone in universe, but that person will be a better fit for her than Tommy.

I like theory that Kimberly wound up with Skull and Spike is their kid. Given how much of a cool guy Jason Narvy is in real life, it's fun to imagine Skull grew into someone who Kimberly would fall in love with. Besides, the Christmas ep and decades later in Soul of the Dragon show that Kat was the one. Wether those are really canon is very much up for debate but given the wonkiness of PR canon as a whole, I'm just rolling with it.
I don't think they are up for debate, every pr comic person on youtube and online I know who really look into it say it's canon. I think if it says Saban's Power Rangers... that is canon. But again deoxy 360 is the man when it comes to that stuff. And I actually do like the idea of Kimberly and Skull. The moments in MMPR with them actually kind of give off that feeling of they'd be good together.
I don’t know about that theory, I don’t see Kimberly end up with a person. Who been harassing her go out with, or demanding a kiss from her during high school. I mean Skull is a nice person, but I think Kimberly would end up him. All of a sudden. Plus, I don’t think Spike share any of Kim trait in him. Suggest that Kim is Spike mom.
I'm not sure how to properly articulate this so please bear with me. I do not really care for any Tommy ships but i do think Tommy and Kat are better for each other. If we look into Tommy's eras, as Green ranger he was this "outsider" who is not necessarily very approachable who eventually gets accepted into the mmpr group and then became the White ranger. In his White ranger era, at this point he is already dating Kim, and became the leader so this is like his "Golden boy" era and in a way just more approachable than he was when he first arrived. He had to be more open in order to welcome new members to the team and lead them. His era as the White ranger is just being perfect. But being a teenager, we know this is hard to maintain. Kim was there to see him grow into this perfect person she believed he could be. But then she went away and Kat joins the team and Tommy took her under his wing as she is starting out. When Tommy transitioned to being Red, everything in his life shifted too. He is still a leader but at the same time he has to manage and learn of his new powers while leading the team at the same time against a whole new evil empire. Something very unfamiliar to him despite having Zordon by his side stilll. In MMPR, he was already familiar with going against Rita and Zedd going from Green to White. But in Zeo it was the first time he had to lead his team to go up against a new empire. His relationship with Kim also ended and he was sort of "lost" for awhile. Kat was there to witness Tommy going from "perfect" to "lost" and even she was perplexed by it which is why she wanted to help Tommy get back on his feet after being dumped and losing his confidence a bit. But i think Kat also helped to remind him that it is ok to have little setbacks and having to deal with the bad stuff. She stuck by his side as a friend and tried to help Tommy in any way where she could. In turn, Tommy develops feelings for Kat perhaps because she saw the "imperfect" side of him and still stuck by him. In Turbo, while also being Red and the leader, Tommy started to try other stuff and everyone in the team, including Kat, gave him the space to figure out what he wants to do (even if it's race cars). But he was almost never around and Zordon was gone and we see Tommy was just not into having a new mentor. I feel like if Tommy stuck around, he would eventually distance himself from the group even more and leave anyways and maybe rebel on his own. But because he had the opportunity to move on and just discover himself as a person and not just a power ranger, he did just that. I think Kat helped by encouraging him to find his passion outside being a ranger and just giving him the space for him to grow.
@@mightymorphinconspiracythe5024 I consider Tommy in Zeo and Turbo were during a time in his life when he was at his lowest. As a leader of the power rangers he was great but in his civilian life I think he just didn't know how to be a person and it must have been tough for him because he is just a teenager. Kim left him so another person so maybe he felt that he wasn't good enough for her anymore and maybe not good enough to date anyone at that point but Kat was open with him and was patient with him which I think was what he needed at the time. Kat not only was his comrade but a good friend as well which I think was what Tommy needed more and perhaps needed still in adulthood which could be the reason why they got back together. Perhaps to him Kat was his anchor.

I’m of a similar mindset. I don’t dislike Kim, but I think a lot of the time fans of PR associate actors with their characters to a detrimental degree. If anything, I think Kim stands out more as a character without her being in a relationship with Tommy.

Though I watched everything Kim, Tom and Kat appeared in, I can't really go into the intricacies on what makes the better relationship per se. I don't exactly know what it's like to like somebody/be liked by somebody *that* much. Not so much by choice, but rather time and place in life, most available women disliking my skeleton for being a 5'5"-ish young man, and me kinda hating how non-tribal tattoos look and that's all I see on women my age pretty much. I don't really get anywhere beyond women simply liking to talk to me... Should I keep this part of my comment? Whatever. All I can really say is, at least personality wise, I think Tommy and Kimmy had cuter interactions. But TomKat had more emotional moments that showed how much they liked each other's company. I'm with TomKat.
I know right it does get annoying when I hear fans argue over who did they prefer as a couple over the other I mean there's more seasons outside of mighty Morphin they just mighty Morphin itself and I think The problem is is that they let they're nostalgia of the original clout their judgment for other seasons and because they think anything after mighty Morphin is not good not realizing that the seasons that came after are a hell of a lot better than mighty morphin but if we're talking about who's right for Tommy it all depends on who he has a lot in common with and has a deep connection with I think honestly Haley would have made more sense because most of the time when people leave from high school they don't think about their past relationships are none of that they're eventually going to move on and find someone new this isn't the say people don't have a long lasting relationship outside of highschool because there has been people that have gotten married to their highschool sweethearts before but most of the time that doesn't always happen for everyone else Tommy and her had a white in common with each other considering they're both educated in science and have a definite passion for it And she was there with Tommy through good times and bad times on top of that she knows a lot about him so definitely it would have made more sense if he ended up in a relationship with her kat and Kimberly I just can't see him being with neither one of them because just like I said when you leave from high school you eventually end up finding someone else new it's not a guarantee that you're going stay in a long time relationship outside of high school.
@@feliciasteward777 the issue with Hayley is that they show zero signs of them being romantically involved. Or that they have any feelings towards each other. They appear to be a work relationship and that's it. For me there is to much that has to happen after dino thunder for that to happen. Also I married my high school sweetheart so for me, Kat and Tommy could definitely be a natural conclusion.

I think for people because Kim and Tommy were the first relationship they saw, and probably just assumed they ended up together. The other reason is people disliked Kat because she was too similar to Kim.

Kim and Tommy had better chemistry than he did with Kat. Just hearing them talk to each other during their morphed fights that I don’t recall hearing with Kat. I’m okay with him being with Kat I just think there was something more with Kim. I’m also of the mindset that Kim and Jason are together now. Wouldn’t your idea regarding Kim leaving Tommy, be applicable to Tommy going after Kat who happened to be the pink ranger? She was right there, maybe she’s an opportunist. That’s a joke. Also, Tommy left after he lost his powers. So, we can’t jump on Kim for leaving.

V R Caitlin Double Team Command ! Zeo villains ( besides really , Rita and Zed ) was all about robots as with V R Troopers ! It could have been done and save both shows. Cogs and Skugs kinda sound and feel the same. It s Morphing Time ! Trooper Transform ! We are V R !
As someone who watched the show as a kid, from my point of view at that time when Kim and Tom were together it was exciting to see on the show. I felt there were going to be romance that lead something in the future with them. Unfortunately it was not great of the breakup she did but wished along the future there was something with them. As for Kat, she has a similar story but when she came on the show I felt like because she was a pink ranger she had to throw herself on him because of what she was going through. Similar issues and even though she was there for Tom, I felt their connection was weird. I would have seen them more as best friends who understood each other, respect each other than being together. See, this is just my point of view on it. Do I think Tom and Kim were cute together of course. Same for Kat and Tom. In my eyes, I just felt that Kat and Tom had no reason to be in a relationship and because of the pink ranger ordeal they had to give Tom a gf.
you are right of course for the fact the producers felt they had to give Tommy a girlfriend. But I just never had much of a strong love of Kimberly's character. So I don't have any sort of emotional pull towards them ending up together.
I posted this in another post on this same issue. Kat's love was always obsessive/infatuation. Even though that letter is questionable (1 still say why did it come to the juice bar and not his house.just suspect). She always was the damsel in distress...I've never seen anyone sprain their ankle so much.. ankles strong enough to dance but not fight..seriously. Now towards the end of her character arc, Kim had no choice but to be helpless because her life was in jeopardy but even with a group of people there Kat always yelled for Tommy. If you take the Boom comic series pink into consideration on why Kim wrote the letter (there was never another person she lied and felt they grew apart which happens when one person experiences life outside their bubble while the other is still in the bubble). So on his part, i think Tommy liked it when the female was dependent on him..gave him an ego boost. So did he end up with the best person no. Take out the monster theme of the show, kat fits the type of person you warn someone about because of her infatuation and does something to either the object of her obsession or the significant other which she clearly did which makes her dangerous as a suitor
Also in the zeo Christmas episode there's issue...Jason was gold ranger and Billy off the planet so why there was no mention of Jason but Billy is said to be visiting family. So if we're not counting Kats appearance in the MMPR christmas special. This one shouldn't count either because it doesn't make sense either in the timeline.
@@bizzilee I feel like you are taking some liberties with some of these ideas. I don't think Kat is the damsel in distress exclusively. Kim definitely had plenty of "save me tommy" moments throughout the show. And Kimberly was extremely infatuated with Tommy from the very first episode Tommy was in. Rita made Kat try to break them apart, but after she was away from the spell she didn't cross any lines. After Kimberly broke up with him, and even after kat tried to help him go on a date with another girl. that's when Tommy realized kat had feelings for him. She didn't impose. And again certain comics are canon and others are alternate stories that don't take place in the live-action timeline. I don't know with the Pink Series if it's considered canon.
Tbh, my favourite PR Pairings (at least between 2 Rangers) don't even involve Tommy. So I tend to leave out of this Tomberly V Tatherine (I think that's what the Tommy/Katherine Ship is called) War.

I don't think they are up for debate, every pr comic person on youtube and online I know who really look into it say it's canon. I think if it says Saban's Power Rangers... that is canon. But again deoxy 360 is the man when it comes to that stuff.
And I actually do like the idea of Kimberly and Skull. The moments in MMPR with them actually kind of give off that feeling of they'd be good together.
I don’t know about that theory, I don’t see Kimberly end up with a person. Who been harassing her go out with, or demanding a kiss from her during high school.
I mean Skull is a nice person, but I think Kimberly would end up him. All of a sudden. Plus, I don’t think Spike share any of Kim trait in him. Suggest that Kim is Spike mom.

I'm not sure how to properly articulate this so please bear with me. I do not really care for any Tommy ships but i do think Tommy and Kat are better for each other.
If we look into Tommy's eras, as Green ranger he was this "outsider" who is not necessarily very approachable who eventually gets accepted into the mmpr group and then became the White ranger. In his White ranger era, at this point he is already dating Kim, and became the leader so this is like his "Golden boy" era and in a way just more approachable than he was when he first arrived. He had to be more open in order to welcome new members to the team and lead them. His era as the White ranger is just being perfect. But being a teenager, we know this is hard to maintain. Kim was there to see him grow into this perfect person she believed he could be. But then she went away and Kat joins the team and Tommy took her under his wing as she is starting out.
When Tommy transitioned to being Red, everything in his life shifted too. He is still a leader but at the same time he has to manage and learn of his new powers while leading the team at the same time against a whole new evil empire. Something very unfamiliar to him despite having Zordon by his side stilll. In MMPR, he was already familiar with going against Rita and Zedd going from Green to White. But in Zeo it was the first time he had to lead his team to go up against a new empire.
His relationship with Kim also ended and he was sort of "lost" for awhile. Kat was there to witness Tommy going from "perfect" to "lost" and even she was perplexed by it which is why she wanted to help Tommy get back on his feet after being dumped and losing his confidence a bit. But i think Kat also helped to remind him that it is ok to have little setbacks and having to deal with the bad stuff. She stuck by his side as a friend and tried to help Tommy in any way where she could. In turn, Tommy develops feelings for Kat perhaps because she saw the "imperfect" side of him and still stuck by him.
In Turbo, while also being Red and the leader, Tommy started to try other stuff and everyone in the team, including Kat, gave him the space to figure out what he wants to do (even if it's race cars). But he was almost never around and Zordon was gone and we see Tommy was just not into having a new mentor. I feel like if Tommy stuck around, he would eventually distance himself from the group even more and leave anyways and maybe rebel on his own. But because he had the opportunity to move on and just discover himself as a person and not just a power ranger, he did just that. I think Kat helped by encouraging him to find his passion outside being a ranger and just giving him the space for him to grow.

As a leader of the power rangers he was great but in his civilian life I think he just didn't know how to be a person and it must have been tough for him because he is just a teenager. Kim left him so another person so maybe he felt that he wasn't good enough for her anymore and maybe not good enough to date anyone at that point but Kat was open with him and was patient with him which I think was what he needed at the time. Kat not only was his comrade but a good friend as well which I think was what Tommy needed more and perhaps needed still in adulthood which could be the reason why they got back together. Perhaps to him Kat was his anchor.

He really stays pretty much the same and nothing happens. the happiest he seems in zeo and turbo is right before he stops being a ranger. Driving with Kat
I’m of a similar mindset. I don’t dislike Kim, but I think a lot of the time fans of PR associate actors with their characters to a detrimental degree. If anything, I think Kim stands out more as a character without her being in a relationship with Tommy.

Though I watched everything Kim, Tom and Kat appeared in, I can't really go into the intricacies on what makes the better relationship per se. I don't exactly know what it's like to like somebody/be liked by somebody *that* much. Not so much by choice, but rather time and place in life, most available women disliking my skeleton for being a 5'5"-ish young man, and me kinda hating how non-tribal tattoos look and that's all I see on women my age pretty much. I don't really get anywhere beyond women simply liking to talk to me... Should I keep this part of my comment? Whatever. All I can really say is, at least personality wise, I think Tommy and Kimmy had cuter interactions. But TomKat had more emotional moments that showed how much they liked each other's company. I'm with TomKat.

I know right it does get annoying when I hear fans argue over who did they prefer as a couple over the other I mean there's more seasons outside of mighty Morphin they just mighty Morphin itself and I think The problem is is that they let they're nostalgia of the original clout their judgment for other seasons and because they think anything after mighty Morphin is not good not realizing that the seasons that came after are a hell of a lot better than mighty morphin but if we're talking about who's right for Tommy it all depends on who he has a lot in common with and has a deep connection with I think honestly Haley would have made more sense because most of the time when people leave from high school they don't think about their past relationships are none of that they're eventually going to move on and find someone new this isn't the say people don't have a long lasting relationship outside of highschool because there has been people that have gotten married to their highschool sweethearts before but most of the time that doesn't always happen for everyone else Tommy and her had a white in common with each other considering they're both educated in science and have a definite passion for it And she was there with Tommy through good times and bad times on top of that she knows a lot about him so definitely it would have made more sense if he ended up in a relationship with her kat and Kimberly I just can't see him being with neither one of them because just like I said when you leave from high school you eventually end up finding someone else new it's not a guarantee that you're going stay in a long time relationship outside of high school.
@@feliciasteward777 the issue with Hayley is that they show zero signs of them being romantically involved. Or that they have any feelings towards each other. They appear to be a work relationship and that's it. For me there is to much that has to happen after dino thunder for that to happen. Also I married my high school sweetheart so for me, Kat and Tommy could definitely be a natural conclusion.
Every relationship has a flower and a gardener. Kim and Tommy were both flowers. It would have never worked.

I think for people because Kim and Tommy were the first relationship they saw, and probably just assumed they ended up together. The other reason is people disliked Kat because she was too similar to Kim.

Kim and Tommy had better chemistry than he did with Kat. Just hearing them talk to each other during their morphed fights that I don’t recall hearing with Kat. I’m okay with him being with Kat I just think there was something more with Kim. I’m also of the mindset that Kim and Jason are together now. Wouldn’t your idea regarding Kim leaving Tommy, be applicable to Tommy going after Kat who happened to be the pink ranger? She was right there, maybe she’s an opportunist. That’s a joke. Also, Tommy left after he lost his powers. So, we can’t jump on Kim for leaving.

As someone who watched the show as a kid, from my point of view at that time when Kim and Tom were together it was exciting to see on the show. I felt there were going to be romance that lead something in the future with them. Unfortunately it was not great of the breakup she did but wished along the future there was something with them. As for Kat, she has a similar story but when she came on the show I felt like because she was a pink ranger she had to throw herself on him because of what she was going through. Similar issues and even though she was there for Tom, I felt their connection was weird. I would have seen them more as best friends who understood each other, respect each other than being together. See, this is just my point of view on it. Do I think Tom and Kim were cute together of course. Same for Kat and Tom. In my eyes, I just felt that Kat and Tom had no reason to be in a relationship and because of the pink ranger ordeal they had to give Tom a gf.
you are right of course for the fact the producers felt they had to give Tommy a girlfriend. But I just never had much of a strong love of Kimberly's character. So I don't have any sort of emotional pull towards them ending up together.
What about the boom pink series..it was revealed that kim wrote the letter because tommy was keeping secrets and felt they drifted apart..

I posted this in another post on this same issue. Kat's love was always obsessive/infatuation. Even though that letter is questionable (1 still say why did it come to the juice bar and not his house.just suspect). She always was the damsel in distress...I've never seen anyone sprain their ankle so much.. ankles strong enough to dance but not fight..seriously. Now towards the end of her character arc, Kim had no choice but to be helpless because her life was in jeopardy but even with a group of people there Kat always yelled for Tommy. If you take the Boom comic series pink into consideration on why Kim wrote the letter (there was never another person she lied and felt they grew apart which happens when one person experiences life outside their bubble while the other is still in the bubble). So on his part, i think Tommy liked it when the female was dependent on him..gave him an ego boost. So did he end up with the best person no. Take out the monster theme of the show, kat fits the type of person you warn someone about because of her infatuation and does something to either the object of her obsession or the significant other which she clearly did which makes her dangerous as a suitor
Also in the zeo Christmas episode there's issue...Jason was gold ranger and Billy off the planet so why there was no mention of Jason but Billy is said to be visiting family. So if we're not counting Kats appearance in the MMPR christmas special. This one shouldn't count either because it doesn't make sense either in the timeline.
@@bizzilee I feel like you are taking some liberties with some of these ideas. I don't think Kat is the damsel in distress exclusively. Kim definitely had plenty of "save me tommy" moments throughout the show. And Kimberly was extremely infatuated with Tommy from the very first episode Tommy was in. Rita made Kat try to break them apart, but after she was away from the spell she didn't cross any lines. After Kimberly broke up with him, and even after kat tried to help him go on a date with another girl. that's when Tommy realized kat had feelings for him. She didn't impose.
And again certain comics are canon and others are alternate stories that don't take place in the live-action timeline. I don't know with the Pink Series if it's considered canon.
Tbh, my favourite PR Pairings (at least between 2 Rangers) don't even involve Tommy. So I tend to leave out of this Tomberly V Tatherine (I think that's what the Tommy/Katherine Ship is called) War.
