Ivan was the GOAT. I rewatched Dino Charge in it's entirety recently, and he hits just the same way he did when the show first came out. That mix of...sort of understanding how the modern world works...but still applying medieval sensibilities to it, leads to a truly golden performance (pun very much intended). He's still incredibly competent as both a citizen and a Power Ranger, and not your usual "fish out of water" character (that's more Koda), seems he's not from a time _that_ long ago, but his approach to the nuances of things is slightly misguided and incredibly entertaining to watch. It's a really fun balance. Heckyl's approach at the start of Dino Supercharge was the best "infiltrate the Rangers" story-arc the show has ever had, it's a shame they wrapped it up so fast. They did a good job with it, but there was still alot of untapped potential. Super excited to see the character again though, he was also very entertaining to watch and Ryan's performance was amazing. A perfect mix of intelligence, charm, power and intimidation. Snide had nothing on Heckyl, being your typical generic grissly mouthed villain overlord.

Being that he was a caveman his intelligence should be lower. It would be weird to see a caveman be a tech-wiz. I know people hate on the neosaban era but this one... it's a true gem

So many great characters, and the actors had fantastic chemistry with one another. The zord game was awesome too.

I think the Quantum Ranger could have a lot more lore to him. Some people have speculated it was an attempt to create a more powerful ranger team and he was the first test, but it was so powerful they decided to not continue@@lebronfett23
Great video man, can't wait to see heckle in CF, (hope they fix his helmet tho) crazy how in his regular form he's galaxy level, imagine how strong he is as the dark ranger as well as being immortal, i can see them using the conic backstory because xenowings VA died irl so if they don't plan to use the silver dino charge ranger(would be a shame) so i could see them doing xenowings death but i want him to live
They really could use the fact as to what happened as annoying, because then a wings actor died in real life so they could say that zeroing sacrificed himself to purify the dark energy them, and make the dark ranger appear in Power Rangers cosmic fury not to mention it would also be a great tribute, kind of like how they did with the trini in once and always
I didn’t know about the comic story for Heckyl & his Dark Ranger powers. That’s kinda cool. Great video as always brother! I’m looking forward to any info we learn about him during Cosmic Fury

Also, it might be a cool video to document all the dark counterparts of the morphers/powers that the rangers used (like you said in the video, the dark Energem, or savage sword). I know the badges of darkness made evil clones of the rangers in season 1. I’m sure there are other examples out there.

You know I've thought about this a fair bit and I think they probably _will_ use the Comic Origin story for the Dark Ranger in Cosmic Fury. They might make some adjustments, but I think they'll keep it. I mean we do know Heckyl went back in-time with Zenowing to try to save Sentai 6. That's in the show. So that much is canon. Makes sense to build upon that and this is a good way to do that. So imagine this...alot of people have asked "Why's Heckyl and [potentially] Sentai 6 in Cosmic Fury? Dino Charge takes place in an alternate dimension to the core PR dimension, which Dino/Cosmic Fury is definitely based in". Well, hear me out. What if, by saving Sentai 6, Heckyl created an alternate timeline from core Dino Charge (the same concept we frequently see in Marvel and DC multiverse stuff), and that "alternate timeline", is actually the *core* Power Rangers timeline. Seems really, Dino Charge was written in such a way that it felt like it existed in the core timeline; The general population is vehemently aware Power Rangers and zords are a thing even before the Dino Charge team take centre-stage, implying previous seasons happened there too, till that crucial "the dinosaurs survived" misfire in the Supercharge finale. We also know, thanks to Dino Fury, it was the same "Prime Dimension" Morphin' Masters that created both the Energems for Dino Charge and the Dino Gems for Dino Thunder, the latter of which _was_ definitely in the "Prime Dimension". Why would the Morphin' Masters have flung the Energems off to an alternate reality? With this little retcon, now you can feature Heckyl and Sentai 6 freely in Cosmic Fury without having to dimension-hop, and it also has the advantage of now more closely tying in the Dino Charge dimension with the 'Prime' dimension. Makes sense, right? Keeps the continuity neat. The other thing people have pointed out, is that the helmet for the Dark Ranger in the trailer has Silver Decals instead of Red Decals, as the Dark Ranger suit did in the sentai. If the Comics' Origin story for Heckyl becomes canon, it'd make sense that a part of Zenowing would be with Heckyl, always. So the silver instead of red decals on the Dark Ranger helmet become a way to "honour" Zenowing's sacrifice, as Zenowing was the Silver Ranger. Also makes sense, right? Add to that that sadly Zenowing's actor passed away a couple years ago, this both becomes a good way to write Zenowing out of the story, and also honour the actor's legacy. If we see an "in memorandum of Alistair Browning" in the opening or ending credits of an episode of Cosmic Fury (perhaps one where they reveal the Dark Rangers' origins), that would be great and noble thing to do, and seem very fitting.
I have a dark theory, I think keeper allowed the dark energem to be destroyed so he could alter his fate. Technically keeper was a ghost in the beginning of the series so allowing the Earth’s destruction was part of a plan that lead the rangers all the way back to the Mesozoic era.
I think that after the meteors that Sledge brought fell right on top of him. If the dinosaurs that were connected to the energems were immortal than why did they not survive the calamity. Keeper would / should have suffered the same fate. Thus I believe his ability to disappear is because he did not belong in the living world and his connection to the e energems is what allowed him to be seen & communicate with the material plain. Sorry if that was incoherent.
Heckyl was always one of my two favorite Dino Charge characters with Ivan being the other!
Dino Charge has one of the best casts of fun characters. Koda and Ivan are comic gold and it's not too hokey. It's just right!
