  • @rylansato

    She was okay. I don’t care about her lesbian aspect because that’s not important to me. That’s not a personality trait. There were times it appeared they were trying to bring attention to that any chance they got as the dialogue felt unnatural when they mentioned it. To be fair, the dialogue overall wasn’t all that great. If people want to treat everyone fairly, then their sexuality doesn’t need to be brought up every time. Her overprotectiveness of Fern seemed very strong that it was almost the typical trope that we see in other franchises. It made sense but it appeared like she didn’t trust Fern at all. Throughout the franchise we’ve seen civilians take care of themselves.
    I’ve also never seen any of this backlash except for this video and it sounds a bit presumptuous on why there is any backlash. Any criticisms I have of Izzy shouldn’t be automatically assumed to be based in some sort of bigotry. Personally, I think when characters are overprotective it is annoying and causes unnecessary drama. Cosmic fury as a whole had potential but squandered it. 10 episodes didn’t help. It should’ve been a full season along with using kyuranger suits because the CF suits were terrible. 20 episodes would’ve helped everything but we got shafted and the franchise ended with a mediocre series.

    • @samburgerwithcheeze8145
      @samburgerwithcheeze8145 Год назад

      I disagree with you when you said they should've used the kyu suits because; they would've been *upgrades* to the dino fury suits which doesn't translate well. Like how with Megaforce using the Gokaiger suits didn't work, they all ended up getting new styles that didn't fit their original forms. Jake(black) ended up getting NERFED because the green ranger in Gokaigers didn't know how to fight.
      Imagine them going cosmic mode or super dino fury mode and it's just the kyu suits💀, that would cause more backlash then anything.
      Weirdly enough I seen a poll with 7k votes, and post said _which do you like better the Cosmic fury suits or the kyu suits_ guess who won? 60% picked Cosmic fury. So power rangers fans who don't know the sentai still prefers cosmic fury suits over the kyuranger suits. I even heard people say it's too much for a suit which is wild.
      Just know I agree with you with everything else besides the suits and the backlash. Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. People lose their lives everyday and people are born every day, just because I don't see it happen doesnt mean it doesn't happen, it's just you didn't see it

      @@samburgerwithcheeze8145 It doesn’t have to be a power up just like these suits weren’t. They were replacements for the powers they lost. They can use the suits and make original footage like they did in season 3 of mmpr. The CF suits were just lacking. It’s fine if they were liked by others, it’d just my opinion as the suits seems to add to the lackluster and overhyped final season. As for the backlash and how social media operates, I just haven’t seen any backlash about Izzy. The last time there was any uproar about her that I remember was the skirt thing that people oddly got uppity about. If there is a backlash it’s not so large.

      @@rylansato But that's the thing: they was always supposed to be an replacements for the dino fury suits, not new powers. The only reason it's called cosmic fury is for marketing purposes.
      Also season 3 footage was still sentai footage. They paid Toei to make that footage. Hasbro *wasn't* going to do that.
      To you the Cosmic fury suits were lacking, as you said it's your opinion, to other people they grew to love them. The point of those suits were to test to see if original suits would work and it did. The *only* reason they didn't change the helmets wss because dinosaurs sell, and they needed the zord footage because they couldn't replicate it unless you want that cgi stuff from once and always or at the end of cosmic fury. Point is, it's was always a dino fury season 3, them giving them the kyuranger suits wouldn't fit the story they want to tell. Plus they aren't even "cosmic fury rangers", their powers were based of dino fury powers with Billy's design. It wouldnt make sense for him to create whole new powers when he just started replicating powers in once and always(which took place before cosmic fury) and did the same thing in cosmic fury. The only thing cosmic fury about them is the zords, and Billy or anyone else doesn't find out if they even have rangers in the first place. Only that they're the home for the thunder zords. As i said, the name change was just marketing. Which is why the ending was lackluster, it's just dino fury, not another new season of PR or an annviversay season(as it supposed to be because it's the last one in that style but eh) I think of it as super dino fury.

    • @rylansato
      @rylansato Год назад

      @@samburgerwithcheeze8145 They were new powers. They had new weapons, new suits, nee morphers, new zords that’s the definition of new powers. Basing it off the previous powers would explain the helmets but why bother changing the suits at all? Again, go with season 3 where they wore Zyuranger/dairanger suits to fight Kakuranger monsters. Season 3 footage was not sentai footage. With the exception of the zord and alien ranger stuff, it was original stuff filmed in California.
      Aside from the helmets, there was nothing Dino about CF. They spent half the time in space or on some distant world which would fit Kyuranger. This felt more space themed than Dino. If this was meant to be DF season 3 then why bother with a suit change? The DF suits were much better. Since they didn’t bother using the kyuranger suits, they could’ve spent the money on a better story or more episodes by reusing DF suits and Fern becomes the new pink ranger. Hasbro dropped the ball and overhyped CF. They know original suits can work as the Titanium Ranger was US original. That one was fine so how’d they mess up here? And if people think they’re the best suits in the franchise then that’s their opinion just as I think their one of the worst. Overall, CF was virtually pointless to make, especially when they advertised it as the end of power rangers. The only positive was Billy. It had potential with its story line but squandered it with a hide and seek story. It should’ve been a giant battle on earth with other ranger teams while freeing other rangers to properly end it all.

      @@rylansato No they weren't💀, Billy says they are literally the Dino fury powers. Even then they have the same morphing and dino based powers as them. The only thing different is the lower half, weapons and the morphers. Mmpr got new zords does that mean that the powers Rocky, Aisha, and Adam get are new ones? As i said them getting new weapons doesn't really mean anything, cuz mega force *exist* they have an entire new design, weapons, and zords and are still mega force💀. So idk why youre are hung up on new suits equals new rangers.
      Look up Zyuranger 2 footage. In season 3 they use sentai footage specifically exclusive to pr. Which is why you see the white ranger with the mmpr rangers fight villains they didn't fight in the sentai.
      When I said Kyu rangers suits not fitting with the story I mean the story and not theme. Yes it's space themed, but the story they were telling wss still Dino fury, it wouldn't make sense for them to keep the dino powers and be cosmic.
      I agree with your last statement, the final season of power rangers shouldve ended with a bang.

    If this show was made only for adults, no one would've had an issue, even I would've been okay with it because it's mature themed, but the hate for both Izzy and Fern are VERY much deserved when you look at how forced both of them were. Simon was vocal on Twitter about how "great and beloved" those characters were and how they could do no wrong, but what people had a problem with is that this is supposed to be a KIDS show. Hasbro is just copying Disney, DC, the M-She-U and Bud Light with the pandering they're doing. Simon even admitted that he wanted to make his PR seasons to "show David Yost that the show has changed in order to get him back" which worked, so it wasn't even made for fans to begin with, it was made for modern audiences like Disney has been doing with their movies lately. You really should educate yourself on identity politics and learn the truth about how politically driven companies like Hasbro are before making a video like this, if you did, you wouldn't be surprised in the slightest and you would be better informed about the message they're pushing. Hope to see a proper update to this video after you look at BOTH sides and not just one. The agendas are in plain sight.

    • @mightymorphinconspiracythe5024
      @mightymorphinconspiracythe5024  Год назад +3

      I should educate myself. That is a great way to end a conversation sending the person you are talking to walking away thinking extremely negative of you, and everything you said going out the door because you decided to insult and bully to get your point across.
      Politically driven didn't start with Hasbro. Haim Saban's show back in 93 was politically driven from the start. Clean Up Club, being an environmental driven episode. Christmas episodes talking about different religions. This is not invented by Marvel, Disney, or Hasbro. This has been going on since the beginning. Which is why it is even more of a crazy conversation to me. Because if anyone is still watching Power Rangers they shouldn't be surprised by a lesbian couple. Agendas are in everything we see since episode 1 of power rangers when they put an african american, and an asian immigrant on a team with 3 white people. That was huge for the 90s They weren't the silly foreign characters. They were actual super heroes. That was because of someone like Saban. Who massively helped fund Bill Clinton's Election Campaign by the way. Don't assume anyone is uneducated, just because they didn't bring up something you want to talk about.
      And there is nothing wrong with showing David Yost how far Power Rangers has come. Harassment isn't okay no matter what you believe politically or religiously. They didn't make the show a slam in the face to right wing or left wing. It was a show about being a team overcoming a lot. I have nothing to follow up on so you wont be seeing a video of me back tracking on this subject.

      Haim was greedy and didn't know how to respect his staff. He always felt like he know what was best for PR, but when it came to the old episodes like the ones you mentioned, the discussion about religions was never forced, and the original ranger team that awesome. The way they presented Zack and Trini were great and weren't forced either, all rangers got fair time on screen. Haim was mostly political outside of PR, he never forced it into the show and tried to make it about himself like Simon did.
      I appreciate that you took the time to respond, but the agendas that are going on today are indeed real. If anything is an insult, it's Hasbro, Disney, and other companies that want certain messages in their shows to manipulate how people think. Izzy makes the show unwatchable and she is not a good character, but there is more going on than you think. None of this is a conspiracy.

    Honestly you make a lot of really good points about what Izzy is going through, and while I was on the Izzy Hate bandwagon for many of the reasons you brought up.. After hearing a lot of what you pointed out from Izzy's side yeah I can understand her attitude a lot more.. I still think that all things considered while the rangers were away from earth with a limited amount of people on hand there still could have been more for Fern to be allowed to do then stay in the base and keep safe.. Not having powers and yet being still willing to help out, lets face it Fern is not really volunteering just to volunteer without considering the danger she is putting herself in.. I think at least in part some of the problem (at least how I saw it originally and what I had a problem with) is that as stated Cosmic Fury was supposed to be a full 20 episodes instead of only 10 episodes and the story arc was supposed to be expanded.. but what occured was they decided to keep the storyline written as if it would be the full 20 episodes instead of compressing it a bit for the lower episode count.. Also there really isn't a true resolution to the Izzy / Fran story arc which I think would have come if the season had been the 20 episodes.. All together though as I've said in previous posts, A lot of my dislike of certain aspects have softened and changed for the better after not only seeing your videos giving another view point but also rewatching with your viewpoint in mind.. Thank you for all of your great in depth videos on the various seasons and theories surrounding the show. All of this has led only to a much better narrative of the series as a whole... I also don't think that the idea of a ranger suffering from PTSD has really ever been shown to the extent we see in Cosmic Fury... This could also explain a lot of Izzy's thoughts of trying to be as protective as she is of Fern..

But the truth is. I think all these characters have human qualities that we don't get to see unfold. You are right that this series real issue was the lack of time. We couldn't focus to long on any one story arc. So for Izzy the resolution was a quick 20 second conversation with Fern after she got her powers. And then that was it. If we had a full season we could of had a full episode of Izzy and Fern figuring out how this whole double ranger couple would work. But we have to read into it more because they didn't have the time.

So it sounded like Izzy was to be straight as the production team weren't sure if they were going to get the go-ahead.

    I thought Izzy was great in this season. I would feel the same way if my wife was in danger and couldn’t protect herself from monsters/aliens. I’d be protective too. And I loved the funny quips she would make, like the Zedd throne with tubes line 😂

      @@mightymorphinconspiracythe5024 yeah. I know everyone has different opinions & different ways of showing how they care for someone, but there isn’t a need to hate on Izzy for how she shows she cares. & I don’t think Fern was super against it, understanding why Izzy was concerned. I’m glad they both became rangers, since now Izzy could at least know Fern could defend herself, but it would have been interesting to have a more prolonged conclusion to this “conflict” since Izzy could still be concerned at her inexperience or the situation against Zedd being so intense. At any rate, we all have to come to grips with the fact that we cannot protect everyone from everything, & it could have been a good place to explore that (albeit if we had more episodes). But in the series proper, I had no issues with it.

    Honestly i'm just kinda sick of this series getting so much drama. Power rangers is trying something different from the usual formula and in my opinion it turned out alright. Hating a character because they are trying to deal with a lot of issues at once is just wild to me.

    Did the OG Mighty Morphing Team had Civilian Powers ? We ca say a clear NO , however there where a few times ... Bulk and Skull left a mess and the teacher blamed the kids and by the power of Team Work the kids clean the school in less than 3 minutes before the teacher had any time to throw a decent crap in the can .
    When Rito defeated the Thunderzords , the kids demorphed and based on how close the explosion was but the fall alone . They where ejected floors away and the only discomfort they had was broken hearts some dirt and maybe small damage to their clothes. The Fall alone should have broken their arms and legs if nothing else and should have at least lost their hearing due to the explosion so close to them.

    What we also needed was someone other than Izzy explaining the situation to Fern. The others seemed a little too eager for Fern to become involved and Izzy seemed to be the only one who was concerned. And as a result she came off as controlling and overbearing rather than protective. If someone else, possibly Amelia or even Billy, had seen Izzy’s perspective and explained it to Fern that could have opened a dialogue where Fern slowly became aware of what her girlfriend was going through. And that would allow her to understand and not feel exasperated. Also someone could have talked to Izzy and gotten her to understand Fern’s viewpoint. And then the two could have talked it over and resolved it in an organic manner. I think that was the problem, how we went from one extreme to the other with little to no build up in between. It was very jarring and people wanted someone to point fingers at.

    I don't understand what's the izzy character she's one of my favorites from Dino fury and cosmic fury and also she's a groundbreaking character the first openly gay ranger in the franchise history she is such a monumental character I don't understand the hate she's beginning because she's so concerned about her girlfriend is the fact that she had to witness her brother losing his arm and had to hide all of this from her parents is weighted on her I don't understand the hate
