The tactics used by the police are the foundation that most institutions use. When you have individuals who are employed fir public service and the get a big head and do the exact opposite. In fact, they become bullies, attempting to assert authority over the public because they simply think we need to adhere to their sense of rules or laws. Lying is the bulwark of individuals within these institutions.

If you are arrested, let the police make their own case. Don't offer any opinion at all about how someone else might have felt - whether someone else was or could have been incited or alarmed. Be factual regarding your actions or whereabouts, avoid supposing things on behalf of the police. And note that any public defender solicitor present at your interview is not there either to stop the police asking leading questions, nor to stop you answering them. They're only their to ensure correct police procedure is followed.

So a vulnerable person asked to attend a voluntary interview with an appropriate adult and a solicitor is arrested because he didn’t attend an interview that was VOLUNTARY. You know what they say about voluntary interviews you’re free to leave till you aren’t basically meaning when you stop answering questions the police will arrest you.

I was arrested on a whim for walking down a street back in 1970, Charged because I was a teenager and teenagers are/were expected to behave in a disorderly manner? £2.00 fine for "Disorderly behavior" simply because the two officers knew I had no chance of their statement being challenged in court.
