My thoughts exactly, with all this chaos at the moment I thought a video of a policeman assaulting a member of the public would have ensured this piece of shit would have had the book thrown at him, I do hope he's quaking in his boots.Somehow though if it wasn't for Rob and his supporters here it nothing would happen to the slime at all!

As a former copper, Rob, I feel you've made the right decision to take this case to Judicial Review. Plods are not above the law, though Common Purpose try to ensure they are. Very best of luck with the case and if you are granted Judicial Review, hopefully, this will bring about a game change in the way plods treat members of the public, those they are supposed to serve and protect.

It took a pal of mine 10 years to prosecute a copper back in the nineties, he'd burst his eardrum through a slap, he got £10'000 compo and the copper got 9 months jail, lost his job and all his pension contributions. That copper thought he'd never be prosecuted.

Yeah and of course this isnt one narrow view of the situation is it , thankfully regardless of the outcome this cop will keep his job and pension, that is plain from the run around the judiciary are employed in at the moment. What we're seeing at the moment is the microscope being put on an isolated part of an interaction copied from these 1st amendment auditors and copwatchers in America which I hope fails miserably. If the true story of the events of that day come out a different viewpoint would be held by many , the cop haters and their ilk will never see the truth however .

I think there is systemic coruption everywhere for sure.....however I am just wondering if judges generally are highly biased towards police because they think they need to rely on the police for their own protection, even more than the average person as they convict dangerous criminals regularly. Clearly they are not impartial, that could be a conscious or subconscious reason for it....probably I'm just stating the obvious :-)

@@mickymidnight1 they are absolutely biased, the fact i hear some judges just give a set sentence to someone doing a specific crime regardless if worse or better than another, in my opinion is flawed and shows the flaws of the judge, sure its harsh and not forgivable for a crime by a criminal but what we need is a system of judges to identify why someone is a criminal or why they have committed and act of crime, you cant lock up a dickhead 18 year old full of drugs and get him slapped about in prison off officers and other prisoners and expect him to come out and be grateful and sit and get a job with a flawed education and mentality. they end back up on the streets getting phoned by the exact same dickheads that caused him to go in, that is why most young people going into prison almost all reoccur crimes and end up straight back in at some point.
prison clearly doesn't work when half of the fuckers going in end up trying spice and crack and smoking fucking book paper and end up frazzled.
sure some are good, but the point is no one will ever get better or becomes better if arrested at such a young age, due to degenerate parenting and an even more severely fucked up justice procudure, throw someone into jail without help and guidance and let them get hooked on smack and spice.

Years ago in Balloch a police officer beat up a 16 year old boy outside a McDonald's with three calls to the police reporting the assault during which the boy suffered a broken jaw. When it went to trial the defence had a "surprise" witness, a Glasgow's Victoria Infirmary casualty doctor and a well known friend of the police who "testified" that the broken jaw was a result of the boy falling. The prosecution conveniently never contested this which led to the collapse of the trial.

To make a point . All protests should be in writing to your MP . Every week till you get an answer. I mean a letter, not an email. That way you have evidence of your protest. and not a chance of getting arrested. Very cost effective. You can protest from your home. Pen is mightier than the sword. It's the only evidence that the court must take notice of.

So many people in these comments sections shout "this should happen", "that should happen" But do F all to organise themselves to actually do the thing that they want and in doing nothing they then give room for idiots to say shit like "wrong colour, mate" as if that is the reason the rest of you are so lazy disorganised and apathetic.

Don't forget Sir Keir Starmer, potentially our next prime minister, used to be the director of public prosecutions.
    From Wikipedia
"After qualifying for the bar, Starmer acted exclusively as a defence lawyer, specialising in human rights issues, before being appointed as a Queen's Counsel (QC) in 2002. In 2008, he became Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and Head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), holding these roles until 2013. For his role as Director of Public Prosecutions, he was appointed Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath (KCB) in the 2014 New Year Honours."

I got a cavity search when I was 14 here in wales, cooperating, apologetic, polite, first time offence for shoplifting about 15 years ago....I read that at the time they were doing it to lots of kids, but did she need to search inside me in front of male officers after I looked over at them with the quote "they don't need to go anywhere because I don't need to take your trousers down" after the quote "I'm just going to feel around the area so pull your trousers and underpants out as far as you can and bend your knees slightly". Such a disturbing memory she was rough, it hurt, I was very upset but stood there in complete silence, she did not need to dig that deep for that long as I don't think its possible to hide stuff past the cervix but she seemed convinced that something must be way up there, a grunt echos with her efforts, a girl is flinching slightly in silence in a police reception side room with the door open as tears start to fall on the floor at the feet of the 2 men standing cross armed in front of her with the female officer to the side giving them a good view, I mean why? Because she took 1 piece of make-up and handed it straight back and waited in the shops office for police with zero opportunity to go stuffing make-up up my crotch apart from maybe the 5 hour wait for them to call my parents, but the search was done long before then. Got expelled shortly after, someone called the school, called into office with head of year the next day which started her campaign to get me expelled, I had just reported the bullying teachers so it was foolish to make another mistake, down hill from there for a while. From top grades and good attendance to junkie teen in some dirty junkies flat over the space of 6 months... Same police that managed to rip off every inch of clothing from my sister 5 years later then call me asking to bring clothes....even a bra, nickers and shoes. True she was probably wasted and put up a good fight, but how the hell does that happen in a struggle that they damaged All of her clothes making them unwearable. She was just drunk in public as many of us have been, no crime committed, but I bet she didn't cooperate at all. They picked me up at a junkie pedo's house when I was 15, didn't say a word to him despite my black eye and my obvious consumption of many drugs and my request to change as I was wearing his trousers, they just took me home as requested by my parents without a single word other than "which street is it?" and "get changed in there and don't try to run" his trousers were too big to walk in as I was anorexic, 5ft 3 and he was almost twice my height so after falling over they let me change at least. My sister at 14 had a very fat lip and went to police station to request the release of her 30 year old partner who went back to jail for noise disturbance after he knocked her out, not a single question asked of her, our teenage years were a bit crazy but both wife's and mothers a few years later and life has been good to me since. Small annoyances like about 5 years ago my motorbike was stolen, kids mother calls police on him for assault and they find the bike in the living room, I had to pay £200 to collect it and then had the fun of listening on an apology and watch him brake the bike more in a bizarre attempt to fix it as part of the apology. Not easy to keep smiling when my insurance doubled and the damages from bending and snapping the steering lock and snapping the coverings and cut wires all over the inside, which I had to pay for as the insurance doubled simply because the bike was stolen, no claim, couldn't sell for ages after having it fixed as people on gum-tree were accusing me with witnesses of my recent joy riding in the area , thinking the thief was me, got £650 after a few months, didn't cover the police depot fee and basic repairs of the new £3,500.00 bike he made worthless, think I'm still paying for it, but I was made whole with the fakest laziest apology from the kid...I guess his mum sent him back to foster care so I just agreed and smiled to prevent further harm to the boy, but still .......not a fan of the police I must say, I bet they didn't search up his ass for anymore stolen goods.
