Playing SD Rush on the Cubscriber Minecraft Server.
We're getting ready to wrap up our season, and my base needs a lot of work. But a new game has opened up, and I want to play it! SD Rush! It's a fun scavenger hunt of our twisty-turny cave shopping district, and I loved it. I will definitely be doing a second time, I really could have done this one much quicker.
The Cubscriber server is a private server for supporters of @cubfan, I am subscribed to him on Twitch, so I have access to his server.

I know this used to be a thing, but I thought they fixed that bug. Ignore the fact that this was recorded at fullbright, I do use a gamma mod to make things a bit brighter, but this is a bit much. I need to disable that hotkey.

In season 7, episode 18 of Zedaph's Hermitcraft series, he dangled a pig into the void below level zero. He then named the pig Yoyo. At the end of the season, Yoyo was still dangling. I was testing out a new install of replaymod, and on my way back from the shopping district I came across a ghast. I did add some slabs (that look like the full blocks the floor is made of) afterwards to spawnproof it.

My second test with ReplayMod is much better, I think I am getting the hang of it a bit more. It's still a bit fiddly, but I am learning, the fewer keyframes you can get away with, the better. From what I understand, they have expanded the Zen chapters much like the Black Mesa team did, so there are going to be 5 additional chapters made, so it might still be some time before we see it finished. But they were hoping to at least release chapter 5 this summer.
Focal Point is the only Xen chapter, there aren't additional chapters on Xen like Black Mesa has. Once FP is released, there will only be one more release date as Power Struggle and A Leap of Faith will be released together

Bedrock edition?
Mojang doesn't really make bedrock editions of the April Fools updates, they are pretty much exclusive to Java because many of the features may not work on consoles and mobile and such. That said, this year they did officially endorse a free Poisonous Potato Add-On that you can get from the marketplace, by Jigarbov Productions. It's not the same as the java update, but has some silly fun stuff nonetheless. ibxtoycat did a video about it if you want to go look for that.
God, I hope they actually make this feature as well as the sky Island generation and the grappling hook. Those are some of the coolest things that could work in vanilla

Right? But to be fair, when they are doing a real update they have to make it work on bedrock too, the features in this update are java only, and they are still kind of buggy!

it's interesting what good ideas actually come out of these april fools snapshots sometimes, the lashing potato, the floatater, bit sized blocks (the cheese in the voting update), stained glass literally originated FROM an april fools snapshot, it's just amazing and honestly i think they should have more april fools like updates/snapshots just like this, the developers just have fun for like a week or two, create a cool idea with some interesting blocks, and people get to sort of playtest new features that can potentially if received well enough get actually added to the real game with some major tweaks of course (the lashing potato is obviously overpowered).
Testing new ideas is definitely one of the things they use these halloween updates for, and I'm all for it. I love that they implemented things with almost no restrictions - the floatater will actually even push bedrock, and the increased speed you get from stacking more of them together - with my testing - appears to be essentially infinite. This is one of my favorite april fools snapshots yet, I will be playing with this one for a long time. It will be interesting to see what carries over for sure.

This is a lot like the Mod Eureka! Ships! for Valkyrian Skies, which lets you build ships and airships out of blocks. Gotta agree it's ridiculous that they can add something like this for an April fools joke, but not in an actual update. Hopefully after seeing the response to this fake update, it will convince Mojang to stop holding back so unbelievably hard on the content
I would absolutely love to have this in minecraft for real! I just watched Pixlriffs video where he, Ulraf, BrunoDanUy, and ibxtoycat all played with it and they did the same with an end ship... And then they did the entire end island. Great video, you should watch it for sure. These things are fantastic.

If they do add them, they'll be nerfed quite a lot, as they are in the april fools update they can push tens of thousands of blocks with a single flotater, and that's just too much. But even limited to moving something the size of this ship, I would absolutely love if they put this into the actual game.
