Yes it does seem to be about knife skills And it makes the video to long. I'm sure it's good , she's obviously a chef. Maybe next time she can just add veg. Cause we can see how there cut .

Never seen such a mess. Every veggie she cut were all different size. She left the core of the tomato in plus a small rotten piece. And so much salt every time she added another thing. I won't watch this person again.

It was invented during the time of the 1930s depression and is known as the Hoover Stew. Today's American Goulash. I have made it for years and recently learned from You Tube about this recipe. I love and so does my family. It was a very cheap meal to make during the 30s and is considered a comfort food because it is filling. It was better than starvation which was happening in the depression era.

Why cook the potatoes whole? Cutting them into smaller chunks and in less water would reduce the cooking time by half, saving on fuel costs. Don’t think this is a particularly British recipe from the 60s either: I was married in 1967 and certainly don’t recall anything as complex as this being cooked by me or anyone I knew! For a start those ‘foreign’ cheeses would have been far too expensive for most of us!
