Soo everybody's playing Ureshino so much I figured I'd learn it too! Luckily you have videos about it!! Thanks so much ^^
Hahah good luck 🤞
I have always known about shogi through manga and stuff. Only yesterday did i try to actually learn it and im soo amazed by this game yet disappointed by how small the player base is.
In Japan the player base is quite bigger :) also think this way: easier for you to compete for the podium? But I agree, that's why I do my best with this channel too...

Thank you for this videooo 🥲 such a good tournament and experience!! 😊
Indeed! It was fun to watch too :)
0:52 Is that our very own Thomas Pfaffel, the organizer from the WSL? I'm star-struck🤯
Who else! :)
Yes I am still playing 😅
@@thomasshogiTsuyoi desu! Congratulations Thomas-San. The best role model for us in lower divisions!
Heartwarming
Great video and tips! Thanks for sharing! I'm wondering, what is the program you use to play? Th one I use don't show the possible moves of the pieces under their kanji and while I learned all of them by heart, it is difficult to convince anyone to play with me as they don't want to invest as much time to understand all possible moves of all pieces. Thanks!
It is online server 81dojo com. There is also a lishogi org which offers many types of pieces!
It seems like a simple thing to see, but here I was trapped many times without a way to understand how I could survive. Now, because of your video, I stopped losing repeatedly. So thank you very much for sharing! :)
Awesome!!!
🎉
I was looking for a guide on how to play Shogi, thank you!
A wonderful game!

Can't wait
Thank you for posting and sharing this. Good games.
Oh hey thats me
Playing in tournaments is so exciting 😊

🙂↕️I will definitely watch it
Lovely 😊
byoyomi is a lot of stress
I don't miss it
Good luck! 👏
Well done on the shorts today. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
How long byoyomi?
@@championred3619 team tournament byoyomi is 30 seconds!

Nice
Hello :)
Nice idea to show the atmosphere of the playing area (I presume). However, if I may, I'd suggest pausing briefly at a few points or moving a little slower. Frankly, the video is mostly a blur right now since you're turning so fast.
Agreed
I need these to 100% the yakuza series
Which yakuza game is it? Maybe i should do a tutorial haha
N43 can give you the same result right?

AT LAST AN EASY ONE!
Are we continuing with openings?
There are few opening videos i made in another playlist. Have you seen those?
@@ShogiHarbour I checked, but I couldn't find anything more than Ureshino, Ishida and Central Rook. Are you planning on posting more vids on that? Loved them so far!
I recommend checking hidetchi channel as he has looots. I'm currently a very busy mother of 14 months old, so I find it hard to work on research heavy videos like openings... Sorry 😔
I came here from yakuza 0. thanks for the tips!
Is the freestyle shogi seen in professional matches? And are there any circumstances where I will actually have to freestyle?
Yes. It basically means you are refusing to play normal theory and that you will end up playing an unseen (perhaps little wild) opening sequence.
@@ShogiHarbour thanks for the clarification
So glad you are back! Good luck to all and hope to see more quick look and stuff for noobs :)
Thanks! I will try ..!
Hi, I'm new to Shogi and I am having troubles with calculation, openings, traps, repositionings and finding valnuaerable pieces to attack. What should I do, I also play a lot of Chess
Welcome. Calculation: do endgame puzzles called tsume, opening and take: study joseki theory or watch games, the rest: experience, reading books, watching games. I recommend hidetchi channel to you...!
@@ShogiHarbour Thanks!
I play the third one at home; it is a terrific travel set. Online I use double kanji.
4:20 The participation condition 3.4, which states that participants must be able to receive and respond to communications from the organizers during the tournament, is very confusing. It's hard to imagine someone who would monitor emails during a bullet tournament. Even if you don't care about prizes and your main goal is just to reach 10 kyu, you won't have time to drink a cup of coffee, scratch the cat, or go to the computer and check emails during an endless arena tournament.
My understanding is: the event is only 2 hours and they will contact the top 8 only, so I don't think it is a big problem...?
But you are right, they stated it in a confusing way in the terms!
Great tournament! See you in Barcelona Karolina!
The most useful video so far. Your videos are definitely helping me out with my shogi journey
Awesome :)
Great event! I wish I could join the fun ☺️
Maybe it is a beginning of something bigger :)
Incredible! I love this type of collaboration and I love Shogi Wars. :D
It's awesome!!!
Ohhh that's so cool that I don't need to be premium to participate 😃 thanks for the info, I already had heard about the tournament but I was not aware of that important detail!!🙏
It is so awesome for them to allow it, I think!
@@ShogiHarbour it actually is :')
It will be a great event 😃
Definitely ;)))
The name of the rook in the rook opening sound like bishop
Sensei, yo hice Torre 2-2, para que rey baje a 1-3, luego la misma torre a 1-2, hay doble jaque, por ende jaque mate. ¿no es así?
You can just take it?
