I was a chess player when I started playing Shogi. I found it so much fun but was disappointed to find that there are not many shogi videos as much as chess does. Finding your channel was a lottery, I'm glad I can now learn from your lessons!

Sorry about that! I can say the same and it was worse 10 years ago ..

I've done quiet moves at the cost of the game, simply because I believed I was making a safe move or thinking I'm gaining piece advantage. Always interesting to see moments where the player believes the game has slowed enough to sneak in ammunition for later.
    Thanks for the analysis.

You can join our discord server to get free advice on your play style. There is a list of resources there as well. My channel here has some nice beginner videos too.

Can you make a series of videos where you can explain what should we do in the opening and what should we avoid?

Also should i memorize the letters of the game or go for English letter pieces??

I will consider the opening idea in my free time!
I recommend you go to lishogi.org and 81dojo, and choose the piece style you like from the options. In the future you will need kanji but for now learn the basics!
