      He calculated two different lines in that clip, and both of them are losing badly so castling was absolutely the best choice.
      I spent 30 minutes trying to figure out what the hell he was trying to calculate and realizing both ideas were totally losing was such an amazing payoff

      Levy is actually at master level. His ELO is about 2200-2400, he is very strong compared to most people.
      He also can play blindfolded so he can visualize. But, in a recent video he did confirm his foresight is about 10 moves in the future. Vs (arguably) the second best player in the world now GM Hikaru who draws an entire matrix of 20+ future moves.
      So all in all I think Levy does understand what he says ... To about 70%.

      I kinda do that at a waaaaaay lower level myself sometimes. Calculate something for over a minute and decide "screw it I'll do a passive move and let opponent think about it instead"

      ​@@trickygamer555 Yeah, if you spend like ten minutes going deep in a variation and figure it doesn't work, a quiet move is normally best. Your opponent has probably already figured out their response to all the most forcing moves anyway, so if you play one of them they'll flip the clock straight back over to you.

      Magnus probably has the similar or even higher level of chess concept compared to Hikaru, I respect all of the GM chess players, and I've seen several games that Magnus has played, every time when he's spending lots of time to think how to play the next step , once his calculating done,you know he's gonna win the game,it's incredible but I think he's calculated thousands of possibilities in the match.

      @@turbo8628 Nah. There's a reason for that. I'm like the top student of the bottom class. Transferred by the school to elite class. So I've turn into like average guy. I try to oppose the decision but my parents wants me to stay there. Therefore, I've only one option. To carry through. Well at first, I'm pretty average in everything else, but because I don't want to feel like imposter I struggle not to become the lowest ranking student in that class. At the end, my academy score are good... I guess. Btw, I'm shy & introvert person. Couldn't even bring myself to ask permission to go to toilet.
