The journey kicks off with a scenic 3-mile stretch, where the trail winds alongside the Taylor River through a lush, fern-draped forest that feels straight out of a fairytale. Vanilla, never heard of that one! The reflection on Virgin was so good the day were were there that my dog didn't see it and accidentally fell in! He is not a water creature and was very unhappy about it. 😂

@@hallahiking2933 those goats are so unpredictable! We saw a herd at Sunrise a couple of weeks ago but we have done the entire Enchantments thru hike without a single one and didn't see any at Sahalee until we went exploring at the top purposely to find one.

Yeah, it gets a little dicey on the way back down. I love a good scramble though :-) If you do it, go early to avoid other people sending rocks down the mountain. Cheers!
