We went hiking this Sunday, June 16th (Father's Day!).
There is no need for a parking pass or privy at the unmarked trailhead, which has space for about 10 vehicles. The road leading up to the trailhead is clear of snow and debris, although there are some potholes that are manageable with a two-wheel-drive vehicle.
Bugs? Not an issue so far.
About halfway up the trail, you'll encounter considerable snow. We hiked through snow for about 50% of the hike. I recommend bringing spikes for the next couple of weeks. While you might manage without them, they will be helpful, especially for the descent. Hiking poles are strongly recommended due to the significant snow cover.
Happy hiking! I made a RUclips video if you’d like to see more details.

Too bad about the views. It was that kind of weekend but it still feels good to get out.
