Hiking Rialto Beach/ Hole in the wall (what to expect coming from Seattle)

Hiked Jan 14th 2024.
It took nearly 4 hours to get to the beach from Seattle.
We checked the tidal charts, It said hight tide was at 2:30pm so we left ,Seattle at 06:30 - Ferry to Southworth - arrived at the beach at 10:45 with only one stop.
Roads a little icy but manageable. Plenty of parking and facilities open.
The waves were huge!
We did not get to the hole in the wall in time but hike over the finger to get the view from the other side.
We saw 3 Eagles.
Beautiful hike if you're looking for a winter hike near Seattle.

Wow, I can't believe how empty it was! Maybe the snow and the temperature kept everyone home. We were there in early May on a day with a midday low tide and the parking was full. That view from above is pretty sweet! We saw that path but didn't go up. I'll have to check that out if we go again.

Great video! We're going that way in February and staying in a couple cabins near Forks and the Hoh. Thanks for the info about the Hall of Mosses area. Kinda bummed the roads closed.
yeah, thats was crazy. NP says its closed till its safe to travel again. That pretty ambiguous.. Last year it was close Jan-March. Anyways, have fun up there!

This hike is so beautiful. Living in the PNW we have so many amazing places to hike but we got an opportunity to do a 3 day backpacking trip along this coast and it was one of my top favorite hikes ever. So much wildlife, sunsets, crashing waves etc.
I'll have to check that out!
