Hiking Surprise Lake / Stevens Pass area

Hiked on a quiet Sunday morning.
Take a right off highway 2, go over the bridge, then right off of the tracks.
Bugs, a non-issue. The trail was as beautiful has the reports said.
Pretty easy 2500 gain. We tried to walk around the lake but there wasnt a trail on the other side. Well, bot one we could find.
We saw a few otters swimming around which was cool.
All in all a great hike

You should really try surprise lake on Conrad meadows near rimrock. It’s so beautiful. I did a video on it a couple years ago I loved it.
