The Courtney's rock. Family has been in the area for years and years. Glad you stayed there. Your cabin is right behind the Main Lodge! Nice choice. For those who watch this do realize that Stehekin is virtually off grid and always has been.

I love the Cascades. Haven't been in the area much since my childhood about 40 years ago. Loved that last part ... He that wins souls is wise. Looking into Jesus here.

Hey Joe...thanks for commenting on my video. I loved the Cascades. Very rugged area but beautiful. I’d love to come back and do that last part of the PCT again. Maybe one day.
      Great Scripture verses.

@@TheHikingRev I'd seriously love to hike at least parts of the Cascades if the Lord wills. We'll see. It certainly would be pretty I'd think towards August ... That's generally when I aim to visit the Seattle area ... Bc it was drier, and bc the blackberries were in season ... PNW ... Best blackberries ever!!

Being a Washingtonian, I especially love your video's hiking on the PCT thru "my" state. :) It was nice seeing Stehekin. My husband and I took a float plane up there when we first got married in 2001 to photograph a bridge for the government. We then took the leisurely boat ride back down. 'Would love to get back there some time soon. The bakery at Stehekin was a favorite place when we stayed there. Your cabin looked very cozy. You must have been excited knowing you were close to the end of your journey.

Washington is truly a beautiful state. I would love to come back to Stehekin and Stehekin Valley Ranch one day...especially the Bakery!
I was excited about finishing and seeing my wife, kids, grandkids, home, etc. but in the next video you’ll see that I didn’t think I was going to finish. Stay tuned...

We live in Palm Desert, CA. right below Mt. San Jacinto. My wife visited me at Ridgecrest, Independence and S. Lake Tahoe. She said she didn’t want to go any further north. 😂 My kids and grandkids met me at Sierra City and we camped out one night.

You were certainly smiling more in this video, which tells me how excited you must have been to be within reach of the terminus. 😊. I am going to miss being able to watch you and enjoy the beautiful scenery from your videos, but WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT! You’ve rocked this hike! ❤️

Rhonda...you know me too well! I thoroughly enjoyed my hike but I was so ready for it to be over so I could go home. 5 1/2 months is a long time to be gone from home.
In the next video you’ll see that even though I was only 30 miles from the Terminus I didn’t think I was going to be able to finish. (Spoiler alert: it had to do with weather).
As you saw in the video, the box of food that you sent (and the gift card) was very much appreciated. You’ns (I haven’t said that in a long time) encouraged me so much while I was on Trail. I am forever grateful for you and your friendship.

You know with the smoke and haze it actually (I think) produced a beautiful, somewhat haunting look. Amazing vistas! I know that you've said that your video just can't do it justice. But it is awesome--what you do show! Stehekin is such a beautiful place (there on Lake Chehan). It was relaxing to me to see such beauty. Kind of one way to fulfill Phil. 4:8 (certainly it was focusing on what is lovely and pure--Nature!). Thank you my friend! I am very glad to call you my friend!

Stehekin and Stehekin Valley Ranch is one of those places I’d like to go back to one day. The smoke did limit visibility but what I could see was very beautiful. I was very fortunate to have such good weather on the last days of my journey. You’ll see that in the next video, mi amigo.

Sorry you missed much of the views in the rain. I hiked this section in Aug 2019. The old growth Doug Firs, Glacier Peak views and lakes were stunning. I saw black bears and a wolverine. The dramatic view change going through Red Pass was like going through the wardrobe in the Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. By the way the Suattle R Bridge was rebuilt and relocated in 2011 for $1.2 Million.

Better late than never. Ron...I always wanted to record my PCT Journey in sections and not every day. First, it’s too much work and second, I think the viewer gets bored if it’s every day. Some days there’s not that much going on. I hope you get a chance to watch the whole PCT playlist and see the progression of the Trail from one section to another. Also, see my progression from start to finish. Anyway, I hope you enjoy them and share them with others. I watched hundreds of RUclips videos of PCT hikers in preparation of my Journey.

Glad you got thru n over our huge dead falls. Some can be very hairy with a load. In Wilderness areas they have to still use hand saws. I’ve seen the trail crews with those long cross-cut saw.. I’ve got my dads 8’ double handle I use to cut our winter firewood with.
At Lake Waptus between Snoqualmie/Stevens Pass the lake trail can get some nasty big winter ❄️ dead falls. Hope you all enjoyed a blessed thanksgiving Rev. Happy holidays n Merry Christmas 🎄. Papa J
