Broski, there's a couple parts of your story that I share with regard to the younger years. In my mid 40's I still take my vests and coats very seriously, but of course I catch alot of hell because I'm not a dedicated metalhead, my gear is far more industrial and darkwave oriented, with random additions of hiphop that influenced me growing up. My goal was always to tell my life story as someone obsessed with music from a very young age right on the entirety of my battlejacket, and the people I want to know are the ones that can look at a vest and be able to read you. But anyway, AWESOME and wholesome story sir. I almost want to do a proper storytelling video on the subject myself ☠️
What's this?! Kingdom of the crystal skull?
In my teens I used to be an edgelord online constantly belittling others who liked popular music, but deep down I was very insecure and lonely at the time. Glad I grew out of it.
I mean, I don't mind non metalhead tell me "do you listen to screamo and metalcore?" Cuz I really love metalcore and screamo I mean, I'm a gen z (born in 2004 and have a bubblegum pop phase) but I still hate tiktok I'm not those ppl who are trying be "hip" to fit in the modern world like saying "GYATT" "SLAY" and "SUS" like those words are hella cringe
KoRn did it for me lol
Metal bro code #11: No karate in the pit.
A Turban is associated with Hinduism
I will die on the hill that deathcore has always sucked since day one. Posthuman Abomination are the brutal death metal band that's way better and destroys those talentless lames. I'm not a metal gatekeeper.
You didn’t wear it on the video ? Why ?
Some metalheads don't even realize they are being metal pushers with their taste in metal bands.
Aren't you supposed to be walking around the woods with a torch somewhere with your face painted
Unpopular opinion: Metalhead can be emo as well, i did become a emo in 2018 and be a metalhead in 2019 i starting to get into metal though high school, same with emo Im still a emo metalhead till this day, my favorite band are slipknot and take back sunday (i feel MCR is overrated now)
*metalhead comes over talk to you and started talking about metal for hours Me, who is a (emo) metalhead: *has social anxiety and gets paranoid to see a metalhead*
I love it that my favorite brutal death metal band Posthuman Abomination is underground.
I don't like having interactions with most metalheads and non-metalheads because they're douchebags.
Few days ago i went into the protein store and i wore my Gorguts - erosion of sanity tshirt and the guy who is working there he recognised it and he said ,,hey man thats the kickass band choice" and we got into the conversation about Death Metal, one more guy gets inside and he just looks at us confusingly. When i buy my shirts and metal merch i dont have in mind ,,oh yeah im gonna get this one so billion people can adore me and see how metal i am", no just, since i know myself im a metalhead, my love for metal is essentialy deep rooted part of my personality and of course i love wearing my shirts but its because im into it. It is always nice experience when i meet other metalheads and they recognise my metal taste, there is also people judging me but i couldnt care less, Metal is part of me no matter who likes it or not.
I look forward to this years winter and your playlist will be the most definetly the one i choose with few additions! I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, and much respect for your tribute to him, im sure he rests peacefully and raises horns wherever he is now knowing he has such a badass buddy like you!
I used to go there when I was teen living in the Ottawa Valley in the 2000s. I've long since moved back to my home province, but the things I experienced there were pretty hard to forget, which is probably why I'm looking to see if anyone managed to document what I saw all these years later. I can't even tell you how many times I went. Couldn't imagine going alone. You're a brave dude.
Okay, but the Mayhem live albums are their best recordings (same goes for Bloodbath's The Wacken Carnage, best album that band ever made)
That priest who treated you like chopped liver was being not very Christlike by ignoring the outsiders and "sinners".
I am making a new one right now. I removed all my patches from my old vest, because it didn't fit me well. But the best story I have of one of my patches is from an Avenged Sevenfold concert in 2017 when I met Brooks Wackerman after the show. I had a big backpatch of Avenged Sevenfold, and Brooks happily signed it. The minute I got home, I removed it from my vest and ordered a new one. The signed backpatch got framed, and is hanging on the wall in my streamroom 7 years later. I still think of that experience all the time, and I cherish the memory!
Historically Witches have been victimized by stereotyping Christians think that we are Devil Worshippers ,kill people , sinners , wear medieval clothes etc Metal Stereotypes aren't that bad
I listen to Metal Music because it helps me deal with my health problems ( PTE... if you don't what it is ..please feel free to ask me about it !)
Grindcore and Deathcore are two separate entities, the point of Deathcore is that it needs to die
#4 Spot the fuck on
The kid calls his mom into his room and says he saw Eddie from Iron Maiden 😭
I don't care if a metal band is mainstream or underground because it has nothing to do with the quality of said music. Also nice Bathory shirt and horror movie posters it's amazing to see that stuff in RUclips videos.
The fact that this is another misconception about metalheads just makes me laugh.
I have known metalheads and metal fans such as what Black Metal Werewolf is describing in this video. Those people give metal a bad name for damn sure. I've seen those metal types all over metal Facebook groups.
Bro, it took 4 minutes just to get to the point.
I suspect we're watching the fall of a once great metal scene RUclips creator. Maybe Septik Siren needs a roommate.
The point of needing to have been to a show to put on a patch is even less relevant these days, because there's a lot more metalheads=more people out of big cities that cant get to a show. As an added kicker, a lot of bands have the tiny problem of having broken up (or god forbid dead members) so there just wouldn't be a possibility of putting a patch from said band, ever.
1st story: once upon turning back home from work i get into the bus, i was wearing my Bolt Thrower Mercenary shirt and pair of those needle bracelets around my arms, i go into the bus and take a seat and suddenly a cop gets in, i have my earphones on and i just look like ,,oh fuck did i do something wrong" because he just approached seat nearby, he takes a seat and throws horns at me, we even get into a little chat and he tells me when he was on Bolt Thrower concert. It was so unexpected And second one: New boss on place i work started working two months ago, he had his thrash metal band and we became friends because of metal
Metal purism is good, a minority of metal elitists are kinda jerks. But has anyone ever been punched in the face for liking Korn or Deftones by a metal elitist? So at most metal elitists just say mean words and dont get violent
The hardest pill for a metalhead to swallow would be that every single metal band they listen to is a gimmick.
Where are you people seeing Liquid Death at $5 a can? I only ever see it for around the same price as a bottled water around here. I also feel that the advertising angle is far more tongue-in-cheek than it is “aimed squarely at metalheads” (paraphrasing). Like a more energetic version of the old OK Soda campaign rom the 90s.
Give Trivium, Heaven Shall Burn, As I lay dying, and Unearth a try..
You are speaking about a single band called Butcher Babies who formed in 2010, as a long time metalcore fan, I have never even heard of them or tried listening to them!. There are many amazing metalcore bands in my opinion, which sound original and not too generic. And I can name them so you can give them a try, I know this is an old video but hopefully you might like some.. As I lay dying, Heaven Shall Burn, Trivium, Unearth, Early Parkway Drive, Carnifex (deathcore), Suicide Silence (deathcore).
It's true what Black Metal Werewolf says I have checked out horror movies just based on the cover art alone.
I've seen one of those before, about 15 years ago, driving a flatbed, hauling logs from Alberta. Stopped at a rest stop to catch an hours sleep and saw it walk across the area between the rest stop and the woods, i left so fast and spent years trying to come to a reasonable excuse for what i saw
I know I'm in the minority. But, personally, I love Bob's Burgers. Reminds me of my family: boring parents with wild, defiant children. Struggling to keep it all together with a bit of brain rot sneaking in sometimes. I think being able to relate to it makes it entertaining to me. Speaking of the Halloween episodes specifically, the costume episode showing the struggle of procrastinating parents trying to make a holiday perfect for their kids is on point for me.
New subscriber. The term poser is silly. Good music is good music wether its metal, rock, blues, jazz, pop. A lot of metal heads are a bit one dimensional when it comes to musicn & its like they listen to nothing else but metal. Listening to one style of music to me is like eating the same food every day. KISS the band got me into metal even though they were never close to heing a metal band, but they were a gateway band for a lot of people who got into metal. Iron Maiden,Judas Priest, members of Savatage and Dream Theatre are all Kiss fans. I find it funny when people call KISS a poser band when they had released 44 albums, sold over 100 million albums worldwide, performed 3000 concerts in 50 years around the global, and hold the record for having 30 Gold alhums. Thats the most Gold RIAA awards out of any American band in history which is an incredible achievement and they are one of the most iconic bands ever influencing 1000s of people to learn an instrument and start a band . They are professionals and know their stuff,so to the metal heads out their who say Kiss are posers, well thats heing culturally ignorant. I get if a certain band or bands aint your cup of tea but calling Kiss posers is laughable
Honestly them 80s fender katana guitars are just pathetic cash grabs that fender tried to market towards metal bands and metalheads like the katana is easily the worst flying V design ever made thats why they didn't last long as a metalhead and guitarist I wouldn't touch one im glad fender owns Jackson now for they dont have to make cash grabs like the katana ever again
Been working on a horror manga vest harder to find patches though
I have 2 specific examples here. RABM (red anarchist black metal) and NSBM (national socialist black metal). I myself listen to both. Im left leaning myself yet i still listen to nsbm, i couldnt care less about their ideology, if i like the music, then thats all. Though i prefer RABM cause A. good music and B. i agree with the ideology. Literally so many ppl that arent even left leaning like RABM, cause its good music. SO what i wanna say is, no one is forcing their ideology upon anyone, not from what i have seen at least. Also why not be a community? I can promise you that every other community out there has ppl of different wievs and ideologies. Its about the music etc, and enjoying it together.
Reminds me of the time I got sunburnt in Texas
Wait… Instead of burning churches, Do unblack metal bands… Build them?
Metal helped me find myself. Like minded people, it's helped me through some shit, and the lyrics can have truth and relatability to them. Sure you can relate to a pop song but not on a personal level like metal can.
I totally agree with the list bro. Here are my ones. - Do you guys slaughter cats? - did your parents ever find your head banking to a song in your room? - And of course, the whole devil worship thing.
I think you'll find most metalheads love cats. lol
Metalcore sucks because it was mostly emo warped tour looking dipshits trying to play metal. Actually, nu metal was probably better in comparison. At least they had more testosterone, edge, and attitude. And their sound came from 90’s alternative rock. Metalcore is just faggy. smh….
