Friday the 13th is part of the Evil Dead universe. Mrs. Voorhees used the Necronomicon to resurrect Jason after he drowned. He's a demon wearing a human body. That's why he's so strong and impossible to kill by regular means. In Jason Goes to Hell his niece stabs him with the Kandarian dagger and hands reach up from the earth to drag him back to hell. Deadite hands. He was never human in his "adult" form.
What I wanna know: so Damien Thorn's birth mother was a jackal, who just wandered into a human hospital and gave birth to a human baby. The priests/monks, who were notified, for some reason, conspired with the hospital staff, to kill the jackal and another baby, who was born at the same time to the Thorns and bury them both in an old, faraway Etruscan cemetery. Then swap the jackal-baby (Damien) w the murdered Thorn baby, telling Mr Thorn that their baby died of natural causes, but not to tell Mrs Thorn shit- and pass Damien off as her own baby. Why all this baby switching and killing? The church just ruins everything..
