Nordic Watch Channel
Финляндия
Добавлен 19 апр 2019
Welcome to the Nordic Watch Channel (previously Anders from Finland). This is my RUclips channel which is all about collecting watches! I'm Anders from Finland, a student watch-nut in my late 20's. I make any kind of watch-related content that I can come up with. I mostly cover affordable automatic watches, such as Seiko (a lot of Seiko 5 watches), Orient, Casio, Citizen and the likes. My goal is to help fellow watch enthusiasts, whether newcomer or seasoned veteran. I post videos such as watch reviews, watch unboxing videos, strap inspiration, state of the collection videos along with DIY tips and tricks.
I've been getting more involved in collecting watches since 2017. The vast majority of watches I've had are automatic and mostly Japanese (Seiko). Since I'm still a student, the watches I focus on at the moment are mostly watches in the affordable price-range.

How to Shorten or Adjust a Metal Watch Bracelet (Push-Pin Bracelet)
In this video tutorial or guide I show you how to shorten or adjust a metal bracelet. The bracelet I demonstrate this on is the Seiko 5 SPRG27 bracelet. This type of metal watch bracelet is the basic "push pin" or "split pin" mechanism, found very commonly on all sorts of watches, for example some (but not all) Seiko, Orient, Certina, Tissot watches or pretty much any other watch manufacturer using steel metal bracelets. This kind of bracelet can be found on many (old and new) Seiko 5 models, such as the SRPG, SRPE and SRPD models. You just need some basic tool in order to remove or add links and that's it! I hope this video helps you shorten or adjust your watch bracelet to make it sit p...

Seiko 5 SRPG27 Review - The Perfecly Sized "Field Style" Watch!
Просмотров 7 тыс.4 месяца назад
We are back! Welcome to this review of a great Seiko 5 field watch, the SRPG27. This Seiko 5 is one of the most compelling deals on the market still, after years of its first launch. The watch boasts great specifications and a classic design in a great friendly-for-all size. Due to the classic military style looks, the Seiko SRPG27 goes well with almost any strap. In this video I show the SRPG2...
CIGA Design Blue Planet Stainless Steel Review
Просмотров 3,9 тыс.9 месяцев назад
This time I'm reviewing something that I bet you're not used to seeing on the channel! I got this CIGA Design U Series Blue Planet in for review and I get to keep it. It is quite some thing extraordinary to say the least. This watch model won the GPHG Challenge award in 2021, beating the likes of Doxa and Oris in the process. An innovative design inspired by the sundial, and a meaningful messag...
ORIENT Hidden GEM! Orient Mini Triton Review ( RA-AC0K01B )
Просмотров 19 тыс.11 месяцев назад
In this video, I review a model known by many unofficial names, such as the Orient mini Triton, mini Neptune, baby Neptune, baby triton, or the Triton Lite. I’ll refer to it as the Mini Triton. The reference number is RA-AC0K01B10B. It’s by no means a new release but by the time of recording this is still readily available, so I think it’s still a good time to review this under-featured hidden ...
Orient Mako 3 Review With Strap Alternatives! (RA-AA0821S19B)
Просмотров 44 тыс.Год назад
Orient has recently released the Mako 3 in several new color combinations! The watch is virtually the same as the Kamasu, but with a different dial and different colors. I opted for the ivory dialed one with the reference number RA-AA0821S19B. The Kamasu has been one of the best value for money dive watches out on the market for several years. This Mako 3 model is currently a little bit more ex...
Seiko Presage SRPD97 "Japanese Garden" Review & Strap Alternatives
Просмотров 12 тыс.Год назад
Good to be back! A lot has happened the past year and my activity RUclips has been a bit low. Finally I'm able to share my thoughts about this Seiko Presage Japanese Garden SRPD97! This watch is one of the few sub 40 mm Seiko Presage watches, for less than 500 $ or €. With the Seiko Sarb035 and Sarb033 modes becoming more difficult to source, the SPRD97 and SRPD99 (black dial) are a great alter...
Orient Bambino Small Seconds - My Review
Просмотров 24 тыс.2 года назад
I did not think I was going to review this watch but the opportunity presented itself! I'm finally handling the one full sized Bambino that I really thought about getting for a long time. I think this is the best looking Bambino of the whole series, but there's one big thing that annoys me.. Here are some affiliate links to Amazon, if you wish to help the channel out! Anything you buy via these...
Citizen Promaster NY0085 "Coke" Review
Просмотров 35 тыс.2 года назад
The title of the best diver for under 200 dollars is a popular one in the watch community, and it’s time to review a top contender for that crown! The Citizen Promaster NY0085 is one of the more popular Citizen models. Once you start to tally up the specs of this watch, it’s easy to understand the popularity. For starters, this watch is an ISO certified Diver’s watch, certified to 200M. Combine...
Certina DS Action Diver 38mm Review
Просмотров 51 тыс.2 года назад
Glad to be back! This time my first ever modern Certina watch up for review. This awesome sub 1000 dollar package offers some great specs in a nice and compact package! There are not many big brands out there that compete with this specific offering imho. Just to get a 38mm diver seems to be quite challenging, and I'm really glad to see this as an alternative. This Certina DS Action DIver 38mm ...

My Affordable Watch Collection! | SOTC 2021 Update
I could have saved myself £10. I just used this video as it was too tight after taking it to a watch specialist
Thank you much sir ❤❤ for this video ❤ lam so thankfull for you🎉 love you so much❤❤
I like to just cut that part off and trim the strap so theres no tail to fold
Learned something very useful today! Thanks a lot!
The straps must have cost as much as the watch itself😂
thanksss
Thank you for being the only video that fully explained the pin mechanism and how it worked for leather and silicone straps. Every other video I watched nobody would explain how it worked what to do even with the tools and their video angle was from the side so it’s not looking down at the watch so you have no idea what they’re doing so thank you for being a confident human being, and obviously you’re very knowledgeable that you could teach it and do it without even using tools. I can’t stress it enough thank you because I was literally struggling for the last hour.
YOU DA GOAT
Thank you for helping us. I did learned a lot from you. God Bless you.
3yrs later and im thankful you made this video. I bought the snk361 and loved the black dial on it. I then saw the snk355 and fell in love with the white dial on it. Im a huge fan of the case on both. But youre video made me change my mind. The hands and hour markers on the snkl41k reminds me of the dial on the King Seikos from the 70's and now I cant get that comparison out of my mind. I plan on buying the snkl45k within the next week or so and getting a black crocodile strap for it.
New friend here sending may full suppor AMZWATCH 's watch,Worth
This video is very good. Now, what is the difference between the NY0084-089EE reference watches and the NY0040-09EE reference? I bought a watch with this last indication and noticed that the silicone strap is a little harder and less soft. Furthermore, the adjustment button, which is located at position 8 on the clock, does not have the Pro Master logo. It seems to be a little simpler than the NY0084 model.
Just a problem. Natos stink on the wrist
That’s true if they get sweaty and/or moist many times over. Same goes for leather straps too.
2 & 3 perfect match
Good choices mate😎
Great video.
Thank you!
Don't give Bergeon any ideas. Link Bracelet Corkscrew - $60
Hahahah we might see it one day!😂
Very helpful! Thank you for doing this!
Glad to hear that! My pleasure :)
Thanks 🙏
My pleasure!
With your video now I can make my final decision, thanks a lot. Please continue doing the straps change and close captions of each part of the watch please consider doing it for 2 scenarios: 1.- under almost direct sun light and 2.- indoors light. Thanks and regards.
Really happy to hear that! Thanks a lot for the improvement ideas! I’ll consider them for sure. Indoor/outdoor light does make a big difference, so it would be good to do that!
I’m from Philippines n i just ordered my first invicta pro diver
Greetings to the Philippines! That’s awesome😎
Tysm bro
My pleasure mate!
One of the best watch channels on RUclips,I am a watch collector,.. bought mine on AMZWATCH
Same for me, love the watch but hate the size
Yeah it’s a bummer! Unless you have like a 8 inch wrist😂
The first link just will not remove for me. I managed to move it a little with the corkscrew. But I just can't then drag it out with the pliers. It's jammed stuck. Any suggestions?
They can be super frustrating. Maybe try to get some oil in there and see if it will loosen up a bit!
Worked well 🤝🏻
Awesome!🙏🏻
AMZWATCH!Every time you exhibit one of these watches I become super tempted to get one.
Doesn't work. Just keep breaking the dental floss!!
Argh, bummer! Maybe there’s something sharp that breaks it. Did you try the other side?
why are you wearing gloves?
Good question! There seems to be some confusion about it. The reason is that I want to keep the videos focused on the content itself. Without gloves people might tend to pay attention to a persons too long/too short nails or dry skin etc. This way it’s nice and neutral :)
btw I love the last method, it works great for natos that are a little on the smaller side
It worked! DAMM kiss your soul! 🎉
That’s awesome to hear! :)
Thank you. That helped a lot. 👍
Music to my ears! Cheers!
I bought a tool. It was useless. This however was not. Thank you so much!
Glad to hear that this trick worked! My pleasure!!
Grey no5
Good choice mate!
Great tutorial. Thank you.
Thank you!! My pleasure :)
Just bought my first nato strap and now I'm actually a fan after learning the final way to wear it. Thanks!
Music to my ears mate! Thanks for that :)
that last way is a great tip! although I do miss the excess, it's part of the nato charm for me. and then something completely off-topic, are you by any chance Dutch? one of my hobbies is trying to guess accents based on pronunciation...sorry, I mean no disrespect or anything.
I also like it often! But depends on the watch and outfit :) Haha none taken mate! Good guess, but no! Apparently I don’t mention it in this video as I nowadays usually do. I’m from Finland. However, I don’t quite speak the traditional ”rally” english that Finns are known for, mainly because I belong to the Swedish-speaking-Finn minority (~5% of the population)🙂 So this might have been quite a difficult task to figure out haha!
Thanks a lot for the video! It made me finally wear a Nato Strap.
Awesome to hear that mate! My pleasure!
I used my toe knife and a pair of pliers. Great tutorial!
Crafty! Thank you! Glad you liked it 🙂
Is this a 18mm watch band? I am trying to replace the band for my son's watch, he has the A168WA-1 Looking for velcro, rubber or the expandable bracelet one.
Hi! Yes it is 18mm :)
Thanks for the tutorial! I just got this watch and it didn't fit immediately, so my mom wanted to take me to a shop to get it fitted, I followed your video and did it perfectly. Definitely impressed my mom 😁
My pleasure! Glad to hear this video helped out😎 Good job mate!
STRAPCODE bracelets for the Kamasu fit this watch.
I’m sure those are great alternatives!
@@NordicWatchChannel A must have really. We buy Orient for the watches, not for the bracelets.
Those are some very true words my friend! Same goes for Seiko, at least the cheaper ones!
Just bought this watch and this is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much!
Awesome to hear that mate :) my pleasure!
The 4th method is the best! Thank you. Great video
Glad to hear that! Thanks mate :)
I would like to buy the same which has day ,date ,month .
Tucking in the excess like that is a fiddle alot of the time. If the two loops were closer together you could thread the excess back through the first loop. That’s what I do. If the loops are further apart there’s no option but to fart about dealing with the first world problem of folding in the excess.
Haha fart about, that’s a funny one! Yeah that’s true. Many nato straps also have sliding/adjustable loops nowadays, which are also good for this problem.
a disaster. So many little parts lost. I'll never buy another metal bracelet watch again, ever. I hate this system so much.
Argh so bummed to hear that! Believe me, this is by far the most frustrating bracelet I have ever adjusted. So you are not alone with your frustration. Don’t give up on metal bracelets altogether just yet! They get better real quick when the lrice goes up to 100-200 euros/usd. And you can always take it to a pro. I would love to see some jeweller tackle this Casio bracelet😂
If only its 38mm and no date window... it would be perfect...
Very true! There are some 38mm versions or the bambino I should get around to!
Worked perfectly👌🏼
Awesome to hear!🙏🏻
Got mine today! Thx a lot 😉💪👍
Awesome! Wear it in good health :) my pleasure!
Great job, thank you
Thanks! My pleasure :)
Guys. Just ask your girlfriend, wife or ma with their long nails can do this super fast.
Haha yeah that’s a pro tip!
