    Best review of this watch on RUclips, thanks a lot. I'm considering buying it this version since the 38mm version is just too expensive in my country compared to this one. Even though my wrist are on the smaller side I think it'll look fine

    This bambino looks great on you. There’s a lot of nonsense in the watch community about 40mm and up being too large. That’s total nonsense. You should wear what’s proportional for you, and this bambino is well within that size on your wrist

      I totally agree and I think the orient's size looks way better than the other two

      Thanks. It all comes down to personal preference. I think you're right that I can wear it, but I just prefer a 38mm or something like that. When it's a diver, then sure. I even wear 42-43mm divers, but I just prefer smaller dress-watches. Some people have the opposite preferences and really don't like smaller watches, and that's just as right :)

    I recently bought this watch as a gift for my father-in-law who turned 60 and I'm very happy with my purchase. I opted for the rose gold model and it looks amazing!

    It’s a classic dress watch with a vintage vibes, really good looking, very slightly let down by the silly lug width. Good review

    That's a seriously good looking watch. I've been eyeing this Bambino variant ever since I first started collecting watches. I do have another Bambino temporarily in the collection at the moment, and you are absolutely right about the diameter being too large.
    Great review Anders 👍🏻
    Can't wait to see your review of that Seiko!

      Thanks Aviv! I know!! It bugs me that this watch is seriously great looking but just too large👎🏼 Apparently Orient are making 38mm dresswatches now too. That sounds interesting imo. The Seiko SRPD97 is great, I hope I’ll have time to review it soon.

    I have white dial one, roman hour numberings, blue hands. Pairs nicely with blue nylon strap (22 mm). Bambinos are so great! 36 mm could be nicer, but the prices and availability are ungodly most of the time.

    • @NordicWatchChannel
      @NordicWatchChannel  10 месяцев назад

      That's a stylish one! I had the 36mm for some time and even reviewed it on this channel. Ended up selling it later on, but it sure was a nice size! The bracelet was a little bit too petite though.

  • @megasoid

    I own this watch and love it. The size may be an issue for some, but not me. Sure the 21mm lug width has got to go along with the date window and the cheap strap is easily replaced. But for the money, I don't think you could do better. Thanks for a solid review, I get where you're coming from.

      I use this an everyday office watch and the date is a must for me. I do wish they color matched it with the dial better. Liked the champagne but opted for the white because the date was less conspicuous.

  • @3rdstone1
    @3rdstone1 Год назад +2

    I've always enjoyed looking at various models of Bambinos. The date function and 21mm lug width is of no advantage, but like you my big problem with Bambinos is the size. Dress/minimalist/bauhaus style etc - "all dial" design - look too big in sizes like this. Hence why I'm yet to own one. I'm aware of the 36mm (which seems quite more expensive), and there seems like a 38mm are coming out soon. We'll see. Great review as usual.

    • @NordicWatchChannel
      @NordicWatchChannel  Год назад

      Great comment as usual! Always a pleasure. Yes exactly! Watches that are ”all dial” wear huge in these sizes. I’m not sure why the 36mm is so expensive and I don’t think it’s necessarily worth it. Hopefully the 38mm will be awesome and a somewhat low price :) All the best mate!

      @@NordicWatchChannel @Nordic Watch Channel I have a 6.5 inch wrist (~16.5 cm I think) wich is quite tiny, but my SKX, Seiko Flightmaster, a Seiko Tuna homage etc wears completly well due to smaller dials since they're divers/aviators (and of course also because classic Seiko's mostly having short lugs).
      As a typical counter example, I also have a very nice affordable Cadisen dress watch (C1032) with a NH36 which measures 39mm. And that's quite pushing it for me in terms of modern dress watches. I mean, we all figured that out - why can't Orient lol.? And yes, let's hope the 38mm will be available in all models.

    • @NordicWatchChannel
      @NordicWatchChannel  Год назад

      Watches with bezels around the dial always look a lot smaller than ”all dial”. And indeed Seiko tends to have short lugs which is great for us narrow wristed fellas. I’ve noticed that many of my ”non-watch” friends prefer somewhat larger watches, so maybe Orient is targeting people like that🤷🏼‍♂️

      It’s a vintage watch (don’t know the ref) from a Finnish brand called Leijona. That’s all I know unfortunately. Depending on where you live, I could sell it to you if you want :) Much easier to come by in Finland..😆
