Regarding bricks, I have a lot to show you! My channel documents the entire creative process of playing with LEGO, from inception to fruition. Join me as I build one giant themed MOC in my basement LEGO studio. The first series, called Brickland, is a 40 sq ft LEGO city.

LEGO Table Layout, LEGO City Plan | LEGO City Update | Brickland 0 | re:Bricks 1
Ive got this set for xmas and just finished it. You have done a massive upgrade on it! Any more updates? :)
soon!
Can have a jazz club.instruction manual for modifications.
I'm not sure if I'll ever make instructions for this, but I do have instructions for a custom MOC that's in the video for this month! Soon!
Hi! I would like your advice on the Rivendell set’s dimensions. I recently bought the Rivendell set, but unfortunately, I haven't had time to build it. I'm trying to find out about the dimensions of the set (I'm specifically interested in the depth) because i making a shelf for it. The official LEGO site says 50cm, but several sites say it's much smaller than that, and the display case is on your vide looks smaller to. Can you tell me the dimensions of your case? Thanks for your help!
www.shoppopdisplays.com/P_21086/display-case-for-legoand174-icons-the-lord-of-the-rings-rivendelland8482-10316.html?srsltid=AfmBOorEfltv35VlfoDFXsw3VxBT_fjIbY_0q4NABRad1Vs7JXRQ1670 That's the case from the video. I don't actually have it anymore (I gave it to someone from my LUG).
Great video's we are new to building cities how heigh is your riser?
Ehhhh I don't know off the top of my head.I would figure out how high you want based on brick height, then get adjustable feet because no matter how careful you are, you'll probably be off by a few mm.
Thanks for sharing your video's. We are new to building Lego city how heigh are your wooden parts you use to built the heights, what should be the ideal height
I used to know, but I don't anymore. I just made sure it was big enough for my train with a tunnel. It also helps if you get adjustable feet.
Vegetation is not bad,try adding more
Great sideways building technique
Why cant you make a cave on the side of it
I have since moved my table and have access to all 4 sides of it now, so I may do a cave at some point!
Lego calls it like that
Omg did u used burp(big_ugly_rock_peice)peices
a few *burp*
Очень круто, молодец! 🙂
Hi Michael, I hope you are doing well, please post more videos of your amazing project. It’s been quite few months since the last update!
It's true, I've been watching this channel since the very beginning and I'm sad that there are no updates anymore.
I'm still here but I've just been crazy busy with real-life stuff (I re-did the entire second floor of my house lol). I'll be back this month!
At 11:00 "I don't know why this corner was the hardest of the four." The reason is because you are trying to do four difficult things all at the same time. 1. Level Crossing. 2. Diagonal Lego. 3. Lego track that a train actually has to run smoothly on. 4. Curved track. Just ballasting curved track can be tricky. Doing this at a smooth level crossing on a 45 degree crossing is wizard level 30 kind of MOC. For anyone else attempting to do this, I suggest you try making the straight section of track wider (longer) on both sides of your road, so you can transition to normal track ballasting before hitting the curve. Or just do what you see here because the finished product is truly impressive.
I second making the diagonal longer lol.
Miss your videos. Hope everything is ok
It is! I'm still here and will be posting this month! I just got really busy with real-life stuff (I re-did the entire second floor of my house!)
Very fancy foliage. Love it
The nature history museum is my least favorite modular but the bricks are great for MOC builds and your lights do make it look better
Its a bit square isn't it?
Love the alley and the options it can add to a four plate by four plate city block layout
Sasquatch. I was intrigued to see how. You’d scale this. The A Frame is my favorite set. I bought a second one to play with adapting it.
It is a fantastic set.
My Ipad is about to die so please like
👍
Nice video! Btw do you have any instructions for this?
No instructions, nope.
Great video! I also have the cabin and plan to make it smaller as my city doesn’t have enough space. Do you have any instructions? And once again, great video!
Thanks! I don't have any instructions at this time, nor do I have plans to make any necessarily. I won't say never, but just being honest, I probably won't. It takes a lot of time to make them, and I'd rather spend that time making videos.
Great vid as always! Honestly my boss asked me to do a kind of impossible task by the end of the week and i'm not gettign there at all so... Did you know you're a 5/5 according to users on Favoree?
Interesting, I did not know that! Thanks for watching!
Das Museum gefällt mir besser. Die Proportionen stimmen hier. Eine große Eingangstreppe fehlt aber noch.
Ich habe versucht, die Treppe größer zu machen
I like the greenery! It fits well, as if growing under the imperfect RR crossing is totally natural. You didn't hide your mistake (not really the right word there), you embraced it and made it a positive!! Good job!
Kind of like the wicked bricks version.
Only so much you can do with an acrylic case I guess
Sasquatch, excellent videos and Mocs!!!
Thanks for watching!
Sasquatch.
😀 *Promosm*
🤔
Me encantan las escuturas que le has añadido a los laterales del museo!!! ❤ Y ese microscopio, parece mentira ke con solo esas piezas se vea tan real!!
Hate the idea of using the greenery, surely there’s a way you could have made that work. All the time of watching the satisfying pieces go down just for an unsatisfying solution. It’s so close to looking perfect.
The only way to make it perfect is to make the straight track longer, but I couldn’t do that and make the curve fit in the table. If I planned more ahead of time it might have worked but it is what it is.
A tiny train stop is a nice idea but looks totally bizarre. Especially in the middle of a rail junction. Maybe you could have a cafe patio on that back step. The trees look great. Keep it up👍
Yeah in my head everything is actually way further apart. Not sure if the little platform will stay long term or not.
@@rebricks The platform could look really good with more sculptures on it actually. Ignore the cafe tables idea, it's probably too close to the rail. Otherwise, just have more greenery
I love the layout and especially the little submersible display from aquaraiders, I personally grew up with Atlantis which was also an amazing series. I don't think having a train stop behind the station makes much sense taking into consideration that there is a train station across the street. It would also free up some more space for another cool abstract art piece
Yeah I’m not sure if the station will remain long term. Atlantis was after Aquazone I think. Either way I missed those.
@@rebricks Oh yeah Atlantis was definitely after Aquaraiders, and I personally liked both themes but only got to experience Atlantis as a kid
Is that your Lego basement? Need this clarified ASAP
Bruh just take a break if you want to 0:27
And also i am subscribed and i follow you on Instagram
Ha appreciate the concern but honestly it didn’t hurt to speak it just sounded weird
Ok 👍
Definitely be willing to step back on the deadline thing. They can be a good motivation, but can just as easily lead to burnout, and nobody wants that! It'd be cute if there was a little Bionicle nod in the museum, but I understand if that's not quite your style.
Bionicle wasn't something I ever got into, although I get it. I might have some pieces lying around...
Hi, I am loving your videos, but I want to give you some feedback to the editing in this video. While I do not mind seeing your face during the video because it gives it a personal note, I felt like you cut back and forth between you and the build process way to often. It feels a bit disorienting to watch and it makes it harder to take in all the stuff you build, because the time you see the building process gets much shorter.
Noted, and appreciate the feedback. This whole first series is an experiment of sorts while I figure out what works. I’ve definitely noticed an uptick in retention time viewed once I started showing my face, so that’ll be sticking around, but maybe just at the beginning and end or something. Cheers.
Love the layout everything is coming together nicely! 🎉😊
Anthony Padilla?
I mean my hair isn't curly...
Wards are hord, man
Loving to LEGO city layout
Not sure if it's intentional or not, but I'm enjoying the last few episodes more off-the-cuff approach to the commentary and intro. Edit: I was totally expecting 8:05 to zoom-cut straight to "Hey you, you're finally awake."
It is intentional, sort of. I'm just experimenting with format and seeing what works. Trying to find the balance between showing myself and the LEGO process.
@@rebricks I quite enjoy it. Thanks!
Michael, do you know that you have two distinct voices?
lol yes. The first stuff I recorded I was quite sick and my voice was weird.
I don't think the train station behind the museum makes much sense.
(I'm not sure I think it makes sense either TBH)
It does if you want to drop off a big ol’ artefact that won’t fit in a truck. Of course if it’s that big there’s no way you’re getting it in through the back door…😊
The music from yoshi story had me dying
How do you approach the mod? You build the original set first and then edit? Or right from the start. I got assembly square all setup now. But thinking on splitting it and widen the gap between the cafe and flower store for a route towards the station i am building.
If I’m starting with an official set I always build it first. I like to learn techniques this way. Then yeah I transfer it over and while I do this I just kinda go for it and try stuff out.
@@rebricks thanks, pretty similar to me. Though I have done very minor mods. Most time is going into rebuilding and rebuilding the station.
