    In the decades and decades of playing with Lego, I have never had a train set. They’ve always seemed awesome. One day, or maybe never. If it happens it happens. I’ve waited many, many years for many things. This can wait for as many years as it has to before I can get the want. Needs always come first. I’ll find joy in watching you play. :)

    I reveresed my motor a similar way by using one 2x4 playe and one 1x4 plate so i could keep the grille. For the light i removed the two 2x4 tiles and replaced them with two 1x4 tiles going the opposite direction. This way the light can go underneath the hub. I also didn't have to replace the pieces with panels.

      Thanks! I built a little car just to hold my phone! Unfortunately, it won't work once I start putting in more buildings and build the tunnels because the phone won't have clearance and the side or the top! I'll have to figure something else out then.

    Hmm why not just used two controllers? They come with the train... its cool that it works but I don't think its necessary!

      (I eventually went back to normal with them...)

      Because if you have two trains with two motors (as I do) then you'd need four controllers. Doing it this way, I control two trains, each with two motors, using a single controller. It's easier and means fewer crashes when the turnouts are set wrongly... 😉

    Absolutely clever piece of work. I’ve never had Lego trains (just never got the room) brilliant how you solved this with a few cool adjustments.

    I moved the motor to the front part, thus 'automatically' reversing it. You also need to move the battery box forward then to keep the weight on the motor. I reused only provided pieces, leaving me with a few odd-colored plates here and there, but a small BrickLink order could easily fix that ;)

      For sure. I’ve actually just taken the engine out of one and run the double set with one. Kills the barriers though.

    Perhaps I'm too impatient... how do you get two engines working off one controller? I need to know! Pretty please!

    • @rebricks
      @rebricks  2 года назад +4

      Its actually pretty easy, but maybe not obvious. You can connect one like normal, then press the second train and the controller again, but you have to hold it for a few seconds. You can see me do it briefly in this video, but maybe I'll make a short. If you're really that impatient, I'm sure there's other RUclipsrs with videos about it.

    Can you do this with 60051 (power functions)?

    • @rebricks
      @rebricks  Год назад

      I personally cannot, as I don't have any power functions, but I don't see why you couldn't do it!

    У нас тоже поезд из двух наборов. Я с одного локомотива убрал мотор и батарейный блок. Взамен поставил обычные колеса как на вагонах. Едет поезд без труда в оба направления.

    • @rebricks
      @rebricks  Год назад

      That is also a valid option, but I want two engines in case I make the train go uphill someday!
      Это тоже допустимый вариант, но я хочу два паровоза на случай, если когда-нибудь поезд поедет в гору!

      @@rebricks да, вы правы. Движение вверх, слабая сторона лего поезда. А при движении вниз сильно набирает скорость по инерции. Два мотора должны помочь.
