Rather just get a new mower every 3-4years...

After putting the new belt on, my blades never disengage. What’s wrong?

I picked up one of these lawn mowers that wouldn’t start, tried the fix and started up first pull. After about 30 seconds of running, there was a lot of white smoke and oil sputtering out the exhaust. Replaced the oil to the appropriate level(it was very overfilled and dirty oil), ran fine for about 30 seconds again then white smoke started. Any suggestions??

If you suspect water in your lawnmower gas tank, remove gas cap on tank. Turn lawnmower over to drain gas. Fill tank with new (water free) gas. Install gas cap. Turn mower on its side (gas tank up) for about 5 minutes. Turn mower and put back level on ground. Pull start a bunch of times. It may take 10+ pulls but it will eventually start. Keep your gas can indoors and cover mower when not in use. Don’t ask me how I know all this.

Thanks for this! Was a great breakdown. Only thing I wish you had shown was cleaning the existing jet for if you aren't able to get a replacement.

How to replace the drive belt.

That jet replacement was unnecessary. Was super clean! Could have just cleaned the the needles easily and put it back in.

Thank you. I did this and it worked. If anyone is having trouble getting those hooks out of the carburetor, just take off the top cover for easier access. Mine had two screws and a catch to get it off. I had to put my hand under the top cover and push it out.

I installed mine today. Same issue with the extra long bolts. While mounted on the bike for leverage I put a pair of channel locks on the bolts, wiggled back and forth 5 times and they broke off perfectly. Easy….

Is it normal for AAA 3800/3.5 to drop a few drops between a manifold and the crankcase? Just replaced all the seals an noticed a few drops from the bottom.

Hi. My 30" craftsman won't go into reverse when I engage it. Do you know where the adjustment is? It's only about 3 months old, used less than 5x for about 30 minutes each time and doesn't have any obvious transmission noises so I'm guessing it's just an adjustment. I know the front engine craftsmans have a 2 bolt adjustment. thank you!

I've got a Kawasaki 27 horsepower running on one cylinder. Does that mean it has a bent push rod on the side that's not firing is that an automatic? I've ordered a new coil.

Those replacement manifolds are over $200. It seems like replacing seals and valves is a better option.

Haven’t been able to start my lawnmower for a couple months and finally came across this video. Took everything apart just like the video except I used an air compressor on the jet to blow any build up out of it and assembled. Worked on the first try ! Thanks for the very good sir!

I had to replace the blade clutch belt on my Timemaster second season, and in its third season the cable broke. Almost immediately after swapping in the new cable, and belt broke again. I believe the new cable stretched, allowing the belt to be too loose and slip, overheating and weakening it. So it's a good idea to pre-stretch the new cable and to recheck its tension after 20-30 minutes of use. And as was said elsewhere, the belt is a weak point. Cutting high or wet grass must be approached with caution and patience.

Do you recommend just changing the seals or is it really hard

I just picked up the 140cc version of this mower from TSC for $50. Its practically new. Customer returned it after using the wrong fuel. It appears to have no kind of fuel filer at all. Wouldn't it be a good idea to put a cheap and small inline fuel filter on that fuel line? If so do you have any recommendations? THANKS!!

I’m having the same problem. I took the pulleys off and made sure they would turn, then tried to do what you describe in the video. But when I go to activate the self propel my mower almost bogs down and it still won’t go. I loosened that pretty far and it still won’t go.

Great instruction video. I finally finally found a video again that covers the new model with the Briggs engine and plastic carb. I just cleaned mine for the 3rd time with spray carb cleaner after removing and cleaning the jet and cleaning the carb and all surfaces I could reach. Each year at spring start up it has failed to start and cleaning the carb and also draining and adding fresh fuel made it fire up on one pull. I am going to add a fuel filter inline soon and run fuel system cleaner through it before shutdown this fall. I have 3 rider Snappers with Briggs engines that are 15 to 25 years old and have never had a problem with failure to start and I have never changed out old fuel. Maybe something has changed with the gasoline. I am now using 0 Ethanol fuel to see if that will help. Thank you. Great video.

Thank you, fixed my new Toro Smart Stow & my Neighbors Craftsman. Both had the exact same Carburetor. I bout a set of 2 on Amazon for $9.

I used this video to fix my Toro recycler last and it worked great, then I bought a Honda GVC 160 and let the Toro sit in my garage for a year and didn't drain the gas and now the Toro is having the same issue. just order new jets from Amazon they arrive on Saturday and will be back up and running soon.

I just bought a predator 9000w. Brand new from harbor freight it ran good for for about 30 min then it started doing. This what could be the prob would it be this same issue ? It has the proper oil levels and all
