Yes, these are not inexpensive kits. I used a bunch of my rewards points to save about $60 off of it so that did help out a lot. I have a few kits on pre-order myself. So many cool kits came out this year, it has been a costly year for sure! I am hoping the releases continue but I do have to slow down a bit, both for money and room sake! LOL!!

I just love getting new (or old) stuff! It is always fun to get things to work on an existing project or a new one. I do need to take it easy for a while. I have 3 kits on pre-order and a pile of stuff here to work through. I really could use a break from the browsing around that leads to buying things so I am trying to be good for the next two months at least!

I enjoy strolling through and seeing what is available and looking for deals. I am logged out and have been for a few weeks. I plan on keeping it that way until after the holidays. I really need to simmer down as I already had 3 kits on pre-order and a big pile of stuff here to work on and build so taking a few months off will be good for me!

Yeah, I have spent enough on me this year (probably enough for 3 or 4 years) and I have pre-ordered 3 kits already so I need to chill for a while. I get spoiled all year and it is time to focus on the family and friends. I am sure after the holidays I will start looking around and they will be announcing the new kits and it will all start over again LOL!

Yes, having all these kits but never seeming to have parts for them is very annoying! Case in point the MF01X kits, I can buy kits all day long but for some reason the F parts tree shows as discontinued on the Tamiya USA website. I don't understand how you can make the kits but not offer the parts for them. I feel your pain!

Yes, there is not much room for it to sit back there at all. I am still looking for the correct one to go in but It is no rush. I did find the steering bits (I think I have everything coming) so that should solve the one issue. For now it looks fantastic and I will get it 100% eventually.

LOL! I did stay logged out then for a while but did go back to it. So far I have been logged out now for several weeks and I don't have the password in my head so as long as I don't go get it I should be fairly safe! With the holidays coming and me being buried in too many projects I am truly staying off of it until after the holidays. Now I do have a couple of kits on pre-order, so I am kind of pre-spent for the next couple months. So that it another reason to stop finding projects on Buyee as well. I do have self control issues, no doubt about that but I am really going to try and ride the brakes until the end of the year. I already have 6 months worth of stuff here to work on!

I could not pass up a Wild Willy kit for the little money! I think it will work out well with the Jimny body and maybe those slicks for a cool on-road wheelie truck! LOL, it is full of deals but those deals all add up! It is so easy to buy things for $10, $20, $30 at a time but then once you get a pile of then you have to drop $100-200 to ship it all here which depending on what you got and how much you got is still not a bad deal but it all adds up! Getting multiple project kits in a box is much better than boxes like this but you can fit a lot more in a smaller box as well. It would have been cheaper (smaller box) if I had not goofed the consolidation request with this one. Still it was a decent deal and I have a lifetime supply of pink wheels... why I am still not sure LOL!!

Thanks Craig! I was a result of me wandering around looking for 2wd wheels and tires for projects I need to get done and finding everything else but that! LOL! The notebook was really neat and was one of those checkout line, impulse buys but I glad I got it! If I use it it will be for something important, not sure what that will be but it won't be for just scribbling notes in!

I have gotten a few things from eBay to go towards the project I have here but it is safer there, no need to bundle multiple things for the shipping! I am going to stick to it and no more Buyee until next year and I am really going to try and stay off the others as much as possible! Not quitting fully but really riding the brakes for the next couple months!

The TRX4 is a bit top heavy, I know getting rid of the big plastic rack and just having the regular bod on mine helps. I also only have the single speed trans in mine, the high gear in the two speed is nothing but a way to roll it over! I have also added the aluminum wheel and some brass portal covers in the front to help pull the center of gravity down further. I also use a small 3s pack in mine to further reduce the weight and rear weight bias. With all that is does really well but they all take a tumble when pushing them. I can't remember if it was the same day I had to re-record it or it just worked out with the laundry rotation I ended up with the same shirt on! More than likely just dumb luck!

I almost bought a case of them about a year ago to get what I wanted and then sell the rest but I had a talk with myself and knew I was not going to end up selling many if any of them and I am did not need to have that many pairs of them! It was the much cheaper way to get them but still expensive! They do look super cool on the Lunch Box and many other kits for a cool custom look! I have partial Outlaw kit here that if I find another kit, Maybe with a broken part or two at a good price I can refurbish them into one at some point. I need to get through the long list of stuff I have here before I go looking for more trouble though LOL!!!

@AddamsPlayground the hobbybis fun but dangerous if I loved in Japan I woukd have way too much stuff. It's pretty cheap here in Malaysia butvalso as an expat and not living in my Country it would be really expensive to ship them all to Australia one day. That's if I ever go back as I will probally retire in Thailand. Enjoy yiir projects and will keep watching to see them all come to life enjoy your day.

It can be a lot of fun searching around for the things you need. In this case I found everything I did not need but decided to get since I could not find what I needed! LOL! I sent down the rabbit hole looking for 2wd buggy wheels and tires and ended up with all this since I really didn't find those and stumbles across all this in the process of looking! It will all feed future projects so it is all good!

This is the Japan buyee I get all this from. So everything is bought and shipped from Japan. As long as you play the game well and get deals it is much cheaper to get things like this but with the shipping sometimes you end up breaking even price wise. Still a lot of this is hard to find in the US so it is still worth it. It takes a while to understand the site and be able to guestimate the shipping.

It is a Japan online auction site. Kind of like eBay but a lot different in ways. It can be tricky to understand and it is somewhat a guessing game for the shipping costs when bundling items up in one box but it is the far cheaper way to go. LOL! I am realllllly going to try and not buy any more from Buyee this year. Too many project to get to to keep piling more on top of. I am pretty sure I kept the old wheels and tires from the Typhon, I think they got set aside in the graveyard. I have gotten a few things from eBay but those were to work on existing projects to get them done or closer to done. I am trying to stay off there as much as possible as well!

I was very happy to it go over 70 and it is as fast as I want to go with it. For a split second I thought about ordering a new drag motor and trying to the 80s but then common sense snapped me out of it! LOL! It was fun seeing what it would do but it!

Thanks! The one more run comment got more than a few of us in trouble this year! I was very happy to see the 74 pop up on the screen as I beat my goal and it also meant I could stop trying to go fast or a while LOL! These are some twitchy little things and tend to have a mind of their own at speed! Thankfully the tires are not terribly expensive and are easier to get than some of the parts for them now! That F parts tree (the red parts) is hard to find now!

They are the stickiest decals I have ever used, the soap and water barely affected them which made it more stressful! In the end it all worked out! Finding the spot for that first horse shoe shaped on was very annoying and worrisome but I got it on there right thankfully. I do wish I had left the antenna off and just bent it back or relocated to somewhere else as it fights me every single time! I am sure yours looks great with the OT66 tires on it and the gold shocks. The color is growing on me. If I don't have the box next to it I don't notice as much. Overall it is cool kit and I am happy to have gotten it for the collection. I just need it to dry out so I can go drive it. Been soaking wet out on the track for two weeks now!

I did pull it out and for the life of me I cannot remember what it was at the moment! LOL! I do have one of them on the list of things that need to run on the track sooner than later so I will yank it again and let you know in that video once I get it done. Advantages of the ball diff is you can loosen or tighten the diff to the track surface without taking the car fully apart. Usually one side axle needs to be moved and you can adjust it quickly. With a gear diff if you want to make changes then you need to remove the whole transmission and disassemble it completely to adjust the grease/oil you have in it. they also are very smooth and reactive. Disadvantages is they wear in so after a few runs they have to be readjusted. They wear out faster, especially it run tight so they require more maintenance. They tend to be more fussy and prone to failures, gear diffs generally only fail due to excessive wear after years of use.

It is very similar but the made performance change to make it drive better on this one. The battery moves forward some, the servo moves back, the front shocks are at a more functional angle and all that together should make it more balanced and drive a lot nicer. The Turbo is a great looking one, just to pretty to scratch all up, I assume that is the case for you. A pretty one and a runner? I have looked for one on Buyee to get cheap but these seem to hold their value a lot more over there and they just don't show up very often. This one would be great for your collection!

No worries Paul, things get busy, I know this all too well! I stay behind on videos on a permanent basis at this point LOL! It is a cool kit, All the Optimas are great cars, you can't go wrong with any of them! I have still yet to get the mid but from folks tell me it is the best driving of all of them. I will get on eventually but I have to pace myself with these Kyosho kits, they are pricey!

Happy I beat my goal and relieved I could stop trying to go fast! 😂 It is fun but having two challenges back to back, it was a lot! @@jamespeek3061 thanks it turned out pretty cool and as long as you have patience with the decals it all works out well. Erick from Eek RC did his in gold and it looks pretty sweet. Much closer to the box coloration. I thought about camel yellow but it is so much orange hue to it I opted for the basic yellow. Another viewer said they did the bottom try in gunmetal which is a fitting idea as well. Lots of options!

Thanks guys! I am glad you both enjoyed it and Ingrid could play a bit of a sleuth trying to investigate the crash. Honestly I think the first one in this run was me getting on the brakes too hard. I realized the big parking lot gets a lot small at those speeds and the bottom of the lot was coming up a lot faster than I expected it to! I figured better to brake hard and tumble than see it flying into the tress! The second time was the tore rolling off the wheel, I think it was coming off mid run and that is why it started pulling left towards the van. I was counter steering a lot at the end and when I let off the throttle it just spun round and round. Thankfully nothing catastrophic and it does not have to be rebuilt. This one is going to live on the shelf just as it is (minus the go-fast electronics) as my own personal trophy of the event and the fastest I have gone so far. It is kind of ironic the dinky 4wd rally chassis is my fastest car! LOL! I am glad you both enjoyed the runs and I am relieved it is over for now. The last few times I have tried to use it I had all kinds of issues. I need to delete the app and reinstall it and see if there are any updates for it. Something is not happy and causing problems. I have not used it properly in a while. It does give a cool perspective on things and it is cool riding along.

Nothing much up there, a buzz cut and a receding hairline! LOL! I try to do everything to the best of my abilities. Sometimes I do take a shortcut from time to time but I have learned unless it is a proven one they often backfire and cause more effort or time!
