It is a cool one and a great price. I am sure they are going to be a bit pricier in Oz when you guys get them though. I would say you would love it but for the track the rear tires would make it trickier to drive. They are kind of hard compound and feel pretty slick on the hardpacked, dusty surface. I need to see what else I may be able to stick on the back to get it some more grip. Other than that you would love it!
Hey there Paul! I end up ordering so many Tamiya and Kyosho kits online I really try to get the RTR ones from my local shop if I can. Unfortunately they do not carry many of the assembly kits so i have to order them. It would be awesome if they could move a larger location and stock more but I am just glad I have one local to me!
Great car thanks for showing Addam. I like the pinion keeper. And screwdivers for adult hands're cool, too. And driving looks like fun. Have a great weekend my friend.
Yes, that pinion keeper should fix the biggest issue w=they have with the Gorgon. A hard chassis slap and the motor could shift and loosen the gear mesh, now that can't happen. The full sized tools are great as well. The days of sore fingers from kit allen wrenches may be over soon! Most of us hobby guys have tool already but for these entry level kits they are a great addition and will make many lives a lot easier. Plus for us they make great backups, field tools and loaners so it is great to get them! it is fun truck and hard to believe they are selling for what many of the mini cars and trucks sell for! Eventually I will change the rear tires for something with more grip and probably convert it to brushless but for now it is going to be run as-is and have a lot of fun with it! Take care and have a great weekend Dirk!
Arrma really nailed it I can see a lot of new people getting into the hobby with this one especially right before Christmas just looks like a blast to run with out breaking the bank
Perfectly said. A great truck for a great price and it should be tough enough to put up with a new driver or an experienced one without much worry about anything breaking. It is great to see more and more in this price range to get folks in the door or crazy guys like me more affordable bashers to play with to save the nice ones in the collection for damages!
LOL! She is a nosey little thing and has to come investigate the new RCs! She loves and hates them at the same time. The beagle in her wants to chase them but the chicken in her (roughly 87%) wants nothing to do with them! It is a really love/hate relationship!
They are crushing it lately for sure! I was hoping there would be more on the Gorgon style chassis but I have not expected them to redesign it for a lower CG and still keep the cost down! It is great of them doing these as this is the type of kit a kid would see and love and the parents would freak out over the price! I am sure every kid would love an LMT, I know I do to but the sticker shock on them it a game ending thing for a parent! "How about some Legos for Christmas Timmy, you love Legos!" I am looking forward to what else they can come up for this chassis in the future to get even more and more new people into the hobby!
Thanks, I like this one and May end up getting the Fury as well. I am kind of curious how well it drives now! Thanks as always for checking it out and checking in my friend!
Yeah it is a lot of fun for the price of most mini cars and trucks these days! I love the looks of it and it is another one I can take out and throw around without having to worry about it breaking!
They are great entry level and simple fun-haver trucks! These on this chassis type are great priced, handle well and are very tough. i just turned the Gorgon into a 3s truck and it is fun!
Some paddle tires and it would be a real fun on out in the sand! I plan on running it around brushed for a while and eventually upgrade to a brushless system. I think on brushless power it will be hilariously fun!
Yeah it is a great bargain! I do love the look of it and the cool 90s colors make me happy! It is across between an old stadium truck, a DT03 and a modern basher all in one. Arrma is doing a great job getting new people into the hobby with trucks like this. Inexpensive and tough with enough speed to be fun for anyone and able to be upgraded to more power down the road!
I just broke the servo saver on it's brother the Fury so I put an aluminum one on order. From what I hear, the servo saver is pretty much the only thing that breaks on these trucks. Great value!
I broke the servo saver on my Gorgon right away when I got it. Replaced it and it has taken a real beating ever since. I did not look to see if they are the same or not but I have another just in case! I usually buy 2 parts to replace one. I figure it will either break again and it will come in handy of because i bought 2 it will never break again! Either way i am prepared! LOL! They are great trucks and you cannot beat the price!
Another great video, Addam 😊 Like I said before, I really appreciate your honesty and down to earth attitude in these videos😊 I wish more content creators would do the same.. Not everyone is "honest," and that bugs me.. Anyway, thanks again for great work😊
Thanks! Nothing is perfect and everything is going to have a corner cut or a questionable design flaw. I am going to give them all a fair shake and tell you all like I see it. Of course everyone's mileage may vary and things break so what was great for me may break quickly for someone else or vice versa. I know my Gorgon broke in the first 5 minutes but I am 99% sure it was a defective servo saver and I replaced it and it has been a tank ever since. I just want to be honest and share my experiences as they are. You all are smart enough to decide for yourselves if it is one you want or it is not your style or speed. I wish I could review them all but until then I will grab the ones I can and give it to you all straight. Thanks for the kind words and I am glad you are enjoying everything!
Thanks Trey! It was a fun one and I think with some more track friendly tires it will be a lot of fun both on the track and around the year. Try to find/figure out a good combo currently! It sure gathered a huge clump of greenery on the front end... Incognito mode activated!
Great review, Addam! I love the way Arrma goes about designing their trucks, both engineering-wise and aesthetically. So well thought out. You say the tyres ain't track tyres but boy, I was impressed at how well that RWD truck hit the turns on your track - hell that looked like so much fun! I'm really tempted to get one after watching this! Have a good one over there my friend!
They have really been on a tear this year with great kits at great prices! They have a great selection of high end kits and now have a great line of inexpensive ones as well! The kits tires are certainly more for bashing but it was fun slinging it around the track. I think you would have fun with this or the Gorgon. I just put a brushless system in the Gorgon and it is even more fun now! I have to get it filmed but the first run was fun!
So far I have had very good luck with them and all have been very tough and a lot of fun! This one is a super great deal but so is the Gorgon, both are great fun! Mine is not a big shop but it is only 20-30 minutes from the house (depending on traffic). I still tend ot order most of my Tamiya and Kyosho kits from Amain but for the fun-haver bashers I try and get from my LHS to help them out. Plus they get a lot of money from paints and supplies!!
It is nice to have a little basher on hand to take out and rip around without worrying about scratches, scar and breakages. They are super tough and great for driving in anger just to see stuff flinging off the tires and not having any rules!
With the sun lower and the leaves falling really fast the lighting is changing constantly out there! I was lucky and hit it at the right time of day for sure! It is a fun truck and for the price of many of the mini buggies and truck out there now it is a heck of a great deal! Take care mate and have a great weekend!!
It is a fun one to bang around and have fun with. I am trying to find some decent tires for the rear, something softer with more of a dirt track tread on it. ON this 2.8 size most are basher type. It does ok with the stock ones but some more grip on the track would be great.
looks good probably a better choice than the monster truck for all around RC use and bashing. Yep tires are hard with good tires it would run totally better!
It is a great little truck and would be just as fun on the pavement as the dirt. The tires are a bit on the firm side but I am sure this is both for durability and some impact protection because they know these are going to end up at the skate parks! Some softer tires in the rear will help it out a lot for the dirt and will be a future upgrade. It is still a fun dirt slinger though!
This an excellent review. It looks like a great truck. The tools and pinion keeper is fantastic for anyone. I am very happy to see Arrma come out with cheaper trucks to compete with the China market. I noticed in your still picture of the back of the truck that the rear arms appear to be slightly below parallel. This may be typical of stadium trucks, but it may bottom out more.
Thanks! It is a fun little budget friendly truck and it is great to see some quality 10th scales for the smaller scale prices! Arrma has a winner with this style chassis and if they keep coming up with cool new versions it is a winner for all! I did not adjust anything on it, I ran it completely as it came so the rears may need another spacer in them. It looked good on the bench but I don't think I had a battery in it when i was looking at the stance. It had some scrapes on the front but don't recall any on the rear skid plate. I'll have to double check it before heading out with it again.
I am sure that looks pretty slick! I love my granite, I have had lads of fun with it! Thankfully the body is holding up well but good to know there are options when I need to replace it!
Yeah it is a fairly recent thing in the smaller ones. For the bigger bashers they have been doing it for a while but it is a great idea to protect them. Grinding down the pavement on them is pretty rough on the soft, flexible plastics so those tiny screw really save some wear!
Thank you, they make it more fun to wathc instead of me just running round and round out there. It is fun in person but on video it gets old quick usually. editing takes a lot longer but it is worth it when watching it back!
I cannot remember why they discontinued that one. For some reason I think it was something related to a traxxas dispute but I could not find anything about it. Maybe it was just before its time. It does look like an awesome buggy and would be cool to see again.
It is kind of a mash-up of an old stadium truck, the DT03 and a modern basher! They did a great job on it and it is a great price. It did well on the track but the rear tires are not super grippy on the hard packed stuff. To be fair they made them for bashing and ripping around on anything from dirt to pavement to the skatepark so a good all round tire but not a track tire which is completely fine and to be expected.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed! It is a lot of fun for the price of most mini cars and trucks these days! I love the looks of it and it is another one I can take out and throw around without having to worry about it getting beat up!
Always nice to see your two cents on these.. i got lucky and went to one of my "secret" spots and they had the purple colored one with lipo and charger on sale for the same price as the non lipo and charger version.. so great score!.. awesome video man!
Yeah, that is my only complaint about these series is having to either chose a color you may not want over paying extra for a battery and charger you do not want to get the color you do want. Great your secret place hooked you up with the other for the same price. That is very cool of them to do that!
Ha i was looking at this and the hobby shop guy said for what you like i wouldn't. So i got the Granite Grom instead. But now im rethinking about it. Thanks Addam.
The Groms are great but I prefer the 10th scale stuff as they just handle the grass so much better. The rear tires on it are a not as good as they could be and are a little slick for the track but for general running around and bashing about they are fine. The are a firmer compound and should not wear down super fast though. It is hard to argue with the $150 price tag on this one to get a great looking and tough 10th scale truck!
Hey Addam, hope your well. Nice review ! You know I didn’t know they did a blue version without batt/charger, I’ve only seen the orange and purple over here. It’s definitely a big improvement over the older seems Vorteks mega boost on that older chassis they used. Cheers ;)
Hi Andy! I am doing well and hope you are also! I was very happy they put a good looking body on the one without the battery and charger. For a newcomer the battery and charger are a good option but of someone like me that already has lipos they are a bit of a waste and $30 I am kind of wasting if I were to get it. I am guessing you guys just got sent the full RTR setups for some reason, that kind of stinks. I am almost curious enough to get the old version and see why those did not sell very well. It seems like the looks were there but it was just not a popular option for some reason. I really don't need it but I am awful curious!
Yeah, man, this truck is great! I'm happy you got you one, like you said, it's a good one to have in a collection! I'm not a truck guy myself, but I think I might get the Fury later on (it's not available here yet anyway), and figure out another body to fit on it, I did same trick with a Slash and I like it... We see what happens... I think the "not so soft" tyres on these is a deliberate thing, make them more durable for beginners, so they won't have to replace so soon... Nice demo video as always, buddy!
It is a cool little fun-haver truck to take out and not have to worry about breaking it or cleaning it all up perfectly after running it. I was going to get the Fury but the body is so much bigger and bulky, I liked the smaller and leaner look of this one. I agree the tires are mean to hold up on all sorts of surfaces and be longer wearing even on pavement. It is to be expected and they did fine but if I could get some more dirt focused tires on there it would be much better for me. For most kids and old kids getting it they are just going to bash it around all over and probably never put it on a track so this one is a me issue and not one with the design of the truck for sure! Take care Mads and have a great week!
Hi Paul! It is a fun one and a great price! Perfect first (or 201st) RC as it has plenty of pep and built very tough plus it has the selectable power settings so it can be run at 50%, 75% or 100% depending on her skill level. The Maverick I have heard good things about but have not experienced one yet. Go for the one that has the best parts support where you are and the colors she will love, both should be great fun!
I’ve not had good luck with arrma stuff. My granite voltage has been a lemon since I got it, and we had a vorteks that we fixed for a friend and it had issues as well. My arrma experience has been not great
@@IowaBudgetRCBashers the voltage line was not a good one. I'll agree those were junk. I have broken two axles on my granite but I have beaten that one hard! I also busted the servo saver on my Gorgon immediately but I think that was a bad part as it has not given me any issues since. It is now on 3s and is a beast! I do understand though, a bad taste for a brand is hard to get rid of.
Hey Addam, looks like another great Arrma product. It seems to make light work of your track too, blink and you’re at the other end and sometimes on the roof too 😂😂😊😊. Yeah, the tyres perhaps aren’t track focused, but for a bashing and thrashing, it looked super cool! I know Arrma are synonymous with RTR’s and they’ve a semi build kit, but I would love it if they introduced a full build RC 😊😊you know me…I’m a hands on my tools guy (oOo er! 😂😂). Best wishes to you all 🖐️😉😎
Hey there John! It is fun one and a great price as well. I did enjoy building the Gorgon and beside the diff and the steering assembly you do put it all together. I do recommend that truck as it is loads of fun and I recently upgraded mine to brushless and it is even better! Eventually this one will go brushless as well but it will need better rear tires. As you said they are just to firm and meant for bashing and struggle a bit for grip on the hard packed sections of track. Going brushless is going to further amplify that so finding new rear tires is priority one and then adding more power later. For now it is fun the way it is and it will get out fairly often as a fun runner for me! Take care and have a terrific weekend my friend!
We do see a lot of wildlife here but the houses are a little closer together than they seem. For bow hunting it is great but rifle is out of the question and shotgun is questionable as well. I shoot mine with the camera though, I am not a morning person so getting up and going out hunting is a chore! LOL! That s a great description of it! Very much a DT03 on steroids! It was a lot of fun and a great price as well! Looking forward to bashing it around some more!
It is a cool truck and kind of a mash-up of an old stadium truck, the DT03 and a modern basher! They did a great job on it and it is a great price. I just converted the Gorgon to 3s brushless and it is a lot of fun and I am sure this will be as well. I am going to run it stock for now but will be on the lookout for a good deal on a 3s system to put in it. Looking for some rear tires that might be better on the track first, these did ok but it needs a softer, more grippy rear for it to be great out there.
Definitely preferring the blue colour mate! And,those tools are a nice touch as well. These things are a far cry from what im used to.....probably way too fast for my old eyes to keep up with!😂 Just wish they would use some proper scale real body shells on them.....cant help but think these modern cars would be a lot more attractive to me if they came with a Ford Ranger or similar body! Love the old doggy mate! 🐕 👍 👍
Yeah, they did well with the paint scheme on these and this one is mu favorite of the 3, I like the purple one two but did not want to pay $30 more for a battery and charger I do not need. Adding in real tools is super cool and makes it so much better for a new user, plus they make great pit bag tool so you don't have to carry around you regular ones when you go out! I am sure you own faster ones, it is quick bot not blazing fast. Good thing it is tough if you did happen to find a curb with it! LOL! This one looks better than many of the space ship looking bashers. I think overall it is a mash-up of an old stadium truck, the DT03 chassis and a modern basher all in one! I agree cool bodies would be great but then you are tacking on an additional $20-30 licensing fees and stuff to the price. I get why they got generic on the low cost ones. The doggo has a severe love/hate relationship with the RCs, the beagle in her wants to chase it so bad and the chicken in her is terrified of them! She is 87% chicken so she generally stays a good bit away from them but since this one wasn't moving she had to come investigate! Take care James and have a great week!!!
I am not an RTR guy but i would get an Arrma 1000 out 1000 times over a Tr***ass At 17:15 That is just what i hate when YT channels promote their RTR's. You are always honest
Sorry for the late reply, just now seeing this. Yeah, I am much more of an Arrma fan now and Traxxas has been fading more and more year after year of anything I want to get. I am always going to be honest with you all. I won't do anything more than share my experiences with you all. I am just a big kid playing with cool toys, never gonna get rich doing it, in fact I get further and further away from getting rick all the time getting these things! LOL!!!
These are great beginner RCs, but I still think the Granite is a better option...even the 2wd mega. They are more upgradable too. Arrma is doing a great job with lower cost, durable, entry level RCs these days... including the Groms.
I do agree the Granite is a great option and it is tough and you can start cheap and grow into it with upgrades. The only disadvantage of the granite to this one is the weight, it is a lot heavier. I am pretty sure the speed and run times would be different for a head to head 2wd shootout between them. Probably not enough to make a huge difference but for a kid the weight would be significantly different especially when running into yourself and we all have done that as a kid (or last week maybe) LOL!! The Groms are a great option as well but it is cool this and the Gorgon are priced right there with them for a larger option. They have been crushing it this year with the entry level, fun-haver kits for a great price!
@AddamsPlayground Yeah, just hit my ankle yesterday running the granite. Turned to avoid a tree because they always move in my way lol, and I hit myself...I'm not young enough to get out of the way anymore 😔
Looks great, and for the new person getting into the hobby Arrma has them covered. Do you do any trail truck/crawler stuff anymore. Would love to see your favourite crawler.
It is a super great truck for a newcomer to the hobby. Tough, inexpensive, and something they can upgrade later to more power as well. I still have all the crawlers, I just have not gotten out in a while with them. I really need to take the Ascent 18 out for a run as it is now brushless. Now that the bugs are going back to hell where they belong I will try and get out there with some! I cannot stand a bug in my face and the woods seem to harbor the most annoying ones for some reason!
@AddamsPlayground I hear ya there, here in New Brunswick we have Canaan moose flys that are as big as your baby finger in size. They will either make you run or take a chunk out of you about half the size of your baby finger nale. Love winter crawling. Stay safe and have a great day Addam.
@WoodsUnknown yeah, I don't know how you guys function up there. I'd have to be sedated to go out and fight with them. I hate being hot and having bugs in my face so winter is my happy place!!
Goes really well Addam.. wow.. amazing for the price.. have you seen the new Traxxas Jota 4x4 vxl bit like a Bandit 4x4.. looks very good but expensive.. Pete 👍👍😃
It is a fun truck and for a really great price. I mean you get a tough and great looking 10th scale truck for the price of most mini buggies and trucks, hard to beat that deal! Sorry, micro rant coming in... Yes I saw their sad money grab buggy. It is $80-100 more than it should be sold for. Having only 2s power, non adjustable links, their terrible battery tray that makes it difficult to run anything other than their batteries and their stupid proprietary battery connectors it all adds up to a waste of money. You can buy a 3s Typhon for less money and get more options. I don't understand where they feel they can charge $350 for it. On top of all that they are re-using the Jato name which was a on-road theme stadium truck. Are they so overwhelmed with creating new paint jobs for old kits to keep selling them they cannot come up with an original name for it? Sad showing for them indeed.... Micro rant over... sorry but I have some feeling about it LOL!!! Take care Pete and have a great weekend!
@@AddamsPlaygroundyeah I agree with all your points and if I was in the market for something like this would certainly look at Arma dude sorry for mentioning as didn’t want to cause upset
@@n22pdf no worries, I just have a distaste for the company as a whole and then they release stuff like this that seems late to the party, lazy and greedy on top of that just grinds my gears! No worries at all my friend, it is just hard not to answer your question without a small bit of rant LOL!
The arrmas grom and 1/10 budget bashers are a great deal! Looks a lot like the voltage underneath as well. Haven’t looked at price but if I was getting one think it’s worth hitting the blx line big rock typhon or granite….???? What you think? If you had to buy one arrma under $340
Yes, they are really crushing it with great kits at great prices! For %!50 this one is a great price and it definitely the Arrma tough plastics everywhere. The looks of the chassis is similar to the Voltage line but it is quite the opposite of the voltage line. That was plagued with reliability issue and weaknesses. This is a super strong chassis and bulletproof rear end! 3s brushless is not problem for the transmission on these. Now for this one 3s is going to turn it into a donut machine on hard packed dirt so some different rear tires are probably needed before I upgrade. For the 3s BLX line I have the Typhon and turned my 550 granite in to a 3s one and both are great fun. I have not driven the Big Rock but it looks amazing and I think they fixed some of the commonly broken areas in it since it release. I tend to grab the Typhon for the track and the Granite for bashing around the yard. The Big rock would be more yard bashing as it is larger. I'd say you can't go wrong with any of the the three, the big tires on the Granite and Big Rock make a great hum at speed so that adds to the fun to hear them going fast, plus the larger tires wear longer too. They do stress the axles more though. I feel like I am adding to the confusion at this point LOL! Get whichever you think looks the best, they are all great kits and rip on 2 and 3s!
Does this bind to a Spektrum DX5 Rugged? What the box with the swiss logo? My favorite skateboard bearing was the Powel Peralta swiss ABEC 7 bearings they were so fast. If you want a good bearing oil go to the skateboard shop and get the Powell Peralta speed cream its top quality and your bearings will run like a champ especially if there an ABEC spec bearing
That is a good question I am not sure if you can or not. I am not sure what protocol the SLT2 runs on and if it is compatible. I may have to try it out and let you know as a quick search didn't really tell me and the manual doesn't say. It can be run with another receiver, so the 2-in-1 will just become the esc part, the manual does say that much. The logo is from Mike's channel RC-RX. It is his channel sticker stuck to my tiny tool box on the bench. I had to go look back at the video and figure it out. I did try skateboarding back in the day but living in the country on a dirt road somewhat limits your ability to practice so I never really got any good. I could do a few basic tricks and stuff but this was back when most boards were slabs and loaded up with grab rails and rear skid pads so it was a bulky, heavy chonk!!! LOL! That said I do love some skateboard artwork. If I even get that mega-millions money I will be collecting a lot of great re-print boards for sure!
@AddamsPlayground I looked at my manual but I'm also not sure. I think for a so called high end radio it's should have all the protocols. I'm now thinking of the Radiomaster MT12 or the new Radio Link you showed. For the skateboarding I done it for 30yrs and really loved it but I'm old and crusty now 🤣 Though do try the Powell Peralta speed cream bearing oil it's great.
They have mod 6 gears so pretty much 48 pitch. It has the same gears as the Gorgon and I have that on 3s and no issues so far. I still have yet to have an Arrma shocks leak on me. I am either blessed or you were cursed with the leaking shocks! LOL! I believe it is a 14T 550 motor in there.
I understand, it is nice to have a RTR in the fleet to take out and beat on without any worries of breaking or roughing it up though! I had too much fun with the Gorgon so I had to try one of these.
For the price you are not going to find anything brushless that is going to be 10th scale. It is a easy upgrade later on and eventually it will get a brushless system in there. For now I am going to have fun with the brushed setup.
@AddamsPlayground Fairplay mate, enjoy 👍🏻 i just never bother with brushed and never will to be honest. Definitely wouldn't bother buying to then spend more upgrading it, would rather just wait for the better version but each to their own. Just bought the ROG1 which is amazing value and speed for the money. Next 1 is definitely the new Arrma Typhon BLX Grom, rapid little car, 55 -58mph on 3s out the box.
Little ripper !! These platforms are wicked fun ... nice unboxing mate
Very cool.. and support local I dig... That's a cool rig.. great review Addam.. she's a ripper dig armas. Happy Sunday bud.. 😎👍🤙
These trucks are so awesome. I've heard nothing but good things! Great video, Addam!
I think you would enjoy one! Some paddle tires on the beach would be a ton of fun!!
Great car thanks for showing Addam. I like the pinion keeper. And screwdivers for adult hands're cool, too. And driving looks like fun. Have a great weekend my friend.

Good stuff as usual thanks for the hard work
Thanks, I like this one and May end up getting the Fury as well. I am kind of curious how well it drives now! Thanks as always for checking it out and checking in my friend!
Good price and big time fun.
Yeah it is a lot of fun for the price of most mini cars and trucks these days! I love the looks of it and it is another one I can take out and throw around without having to worry about it breaking!
I like the mega line up they are fun I had the typhon for a long time before it got traded and replaced with the brushless
They are great entry level and simple fun-haver trucks! These on this chassis type are great priced, handle well and are very tough. i just turned the Gorgon into a 3s truck and it is fun!
thanks for this . i’ll put this on my list at somepoint. ideal basher 👍
Some paddle tires and it would be a real fun on out in the sand! I plan on running it around brushed for a while and eventually upgrade to a brushless system. I think on brushless power it will be hilariously fun!
$150, that's a deal. I like the truck. I'm a stadium truck fan too. I raced them way back. Looked like a fun truck.
Great video and informative! Really enjoy your channel
Thanks! It is a fun and tough truck and one heck of a bang for the buck! I am glad you are enjoying the videos! I appreciate the kind words!
Looks like it's a nice basher not a monster not a buggy but in the middle!
It is across between an old stadium truck, a DT03 and a modern basher all in one. A tough and cheap fun-haver for sure!
Nice bash and recap. Almost had an early Christmas wreath with that nose dive decor.
Looks great. I've never owned an Arrma. I wish I had a local hobby shop. I have to drive 45 mins to the closest one.
It sure does look nice, i wish i had the time, space and money for a car like this, something to just play about with.
It is nice to have a little basher on hand to take out and rip around without worrying about scratches, scar and breakages. They are super tough and great for driving in anger just to see stuff flinging off the tires and not having any rules!
Great lighting on those top turns , cool as always, Cheers from this Aussie in Japan for a while.
Might get one when spring comes next year.
@@AddamsPlayground If you're not doing a lot of big jumps it may be fine.
I got the pink an purple vortex body and put it on my granite after i crashed it up pretty bad👍
I am sure that looks pretty slick! I love my granite, I have had lads of fun with it! Thankfully the body is holding up well but good to know there are options when I need to replace it!
Thers definitely almost too many options it makes it harder to know what will fit. Unless your great with measurements@AddamsPlayground
I've never seen the screws on the wing tips ,that's a good idea
Yeah it is a fairly recent thing in the smaller ones. For the bigger bashers they have been doing it for a while but it is a great idea to protect them. Grinding down the pavement on them is pretty rough on the soft, flexible plastics so those tiny screw really save some wear!
Nice cut backs on the track
Thank you, they make it more fun to wathc instead of me just running round and round out there. It is fun in person but on video it gets old quick usually. editing takes a lot longer but it is worth it when watching it back!
I hope Arrma comes out with the Raider soon!
I cannot remember why they discontinued that one. For some reason I think it was something related to a traxxas dispute but I could not find anything about it. Maybe it was just before its time. It does look like an awesome buggy and would be cool to see again.
interesting rig! I think this is decent chassis. It loved or seem to love the track! Cheers!
Great review, thanks Adam..
Gauranga
Great review! I’m thinking of getting one for my daughter for Christmas 🎄 I am toying with this or the Maverick Quantum 2
@@AddamsPlayground at least with Tamiya stuff you know going in that some stuff is weak, but a basher should be able to be bashed , ya know
@@IowaBudgetRCBashers Yeah. That Voltage one is junk. So far all mine have held up well, but I don't have a Grayson either! LOL!!
Looks like you have some nice hunting land there Addam. Looks like a Dt-03 on steroids.
Nice review, looks like it's fun to drive. I wonder how it will fly with a BL and 3S 😮 Take care Addam 🤝
These things are a far cry from what im used to.....probably way too fast for my old eyes to keep up with!😂
Just wish they would use some proper scale real body shells on them.....cant help but think these modern cars would be a lot more attractive to me if they came with a Ford Ranger or similar body!
Love the old doggy mate! 🐕
👍 👍
I am not an RTR guy but i would get an Arrma 1000 out 1000 times over a Tr***ass
At 17:15 That is just what i hate when YT channels promote their RTR's.
@eekrc yeah, I have noticed my "oh crap" hop is much more delayed than it used to be!

Let me guess it has 48 pitch gears and the shocks are leaking after the first run.
How many turns is the motor?
They have mod 6 gears so pretty much 48 pitch. It has the same gears as the Gorgon and I have that on 3s and no issues so far. I still have yet to have an Arrma shocks leak on me. I am either blessed or you were cursed with the leaking shocks! LOL! I believe it is a 14T 550 motor in there.
@AddamsPlayground is the diff open on the bottom like the senton granite and Typhon
Pretty cool. But i'm not really into RTR.
I understand, it is nice to have a RTR in the fleet to take out and beat on without any worries of breaking or roughing it up though! I had too much fun with the Gorgon so I had to try one of these.
So promising....until u said brushed!
@cyrusshellard3905 I am probably going to pick up the new brushless Mojave grom when my LHS gets them in stock. They do look like a lot of fun!
