Cool deal, wanted to see how the updated Rlaarlo 14th scale buggy was. Ive just been calling it the 006 or 144001 clone Wltoys aluminum A,B,C,&D suspension blocks & reinforced pins are a good upgrade. I add foam to the steering wheels of most of my transmitters.
Aww man, you are knowledgable about these guys, i had no clue about the upgrades etc.i seen the retail price vs the amazon discounted price, verified exactly which model it was, watched a few YT vids and plugged the trigger on buying one. Glad I did. It’s a quick lil buggy for sure. I will be doing compare running vids too. Im curious how my typhons run on 2s with the castle system. Never ran them on 2s.. so we will see. Thanks for watching..
I found that mounting the steering linkage a lil closer to the servo arm mount slows down the steering nicely. You have to make a new hike on the servo arm. But its a lot less twitchy...
nice.. its like i have all the big 5th scales, fully built, and i never looked twice at the small guys until i saw the granite grom in person and realizing you can make them super fast lol.. thanks for watching man..
Hey man, most rlaarlos you can just unscrew one or both of the sides to fit bigger batteries. Need to look into the omni terminator carbon addition. I have it it's tuned in out the box to perfection. You can drop it from 6ft and it just sticks no bounce
@MrMeDos trust me, you will not be disappointed they have come a long way in a short period of time! Another good thing is that they want the feedback. if their is a problem with something they want to know so they can improve! I've got my omni terminator carbon on 4s. just changed the esc. It's an absolute animal. It feels like it's how it should have come about 4 packs in on 4s, no problems. And I had about 5 packs on 3s before I swapped the esc!
If they ever bring back that $50 off, im grabbing another for sure. The money i put into my typhons and this rlaarlo come equip with all this for less than what i spent on a stock typhon? Its a no brainer for sure… hopefully they bring it back bro. 🤞🏾
Which mini scale buggy would you recommend if the budget was around $300 (including upgrades)? Driving style is for neighborhood (on pavement) bashing and racing. I’ve been eying the Grom, seems to be a better platform regarding durability and serviceability…planning to buy a couple so I can play/race with my kids.
If its just pure fun and parts availability, its the typhon grom, hands down 140 bucks and your up and going.. They are cheaper and you can buy multiples.. However, if your after speed, out the box, the rlaarlo has all the goodies you need to hit 60 mph out the box. but its more expensive and parts you have to order online thru amazon or rlaarlo website.. The team associated 14b buggy is the most expensive, it is brushless and it drives the best. Its not the fastest, not the cheapest, but it drives the best.. If kids are involved, go with the typhon grom and when your ready for speed, buy a rlaarlo keep the grom stock. Your gona spend about the same money to upgrade it to compete in speed, depending on the electronics you get (receiver, esc, battery, diffs, cvds etc), with the rlaarlo. TA 14b buggy, they do not have many upgrade parts and no metal spur gears available or metal spider gears just plastic. Again, its the smoothest and best driver hands down.. hope this helps lmao..
I can’t quite tell, but I think that the screws are hex on the rlarrlo. But the old one has actually Phillips heads. Which one is it? I reqatching this video for like the 8th time 😂
Lmao. Yeah somebody measuring tape is off.. the buggy is quick way quicker than i expected on 2s.. i can only imagine 3s. May hit 60mph plus if the tires can hold up.
hey bro, 1st of all congratulations on your 3k+ subs. and wow that Rlaarlo is sexy !!! those golden wheelssss. ufff and those speeds on 2s, i Just can believe the speeds that give you stook. btw ahhh today i did run the typhon with the 1010 5600k, it finish with a sad ending but it was great!. ill try to post the vid ASAP. take care brother and thx for sharing!!!!!
You talked about the scale sizes if the vehicle.... it's crazy the way they label them. At first, when the Losi Mini 8ight came out with their 1/14 scale buggy, it was a 185mm wheelbase, which made it larger than the Associated 1/14 and all the other 1/14 on the market.. That extra size made it unpopular in the race scene, so Losi pulled the plug. Then, LC Racing EMB1 hit the scene with a slightly changed knockoff of the mini 8ight, and soon WL Toys started cloning the LC, with minor changes. Fast forward to this buggy, the Aarma, and it has a 190mm wheelbase, the longest of the bunch, and they're calling it 1/16 scale 🤯 . It's stupidly confusing to people newer to the hobby.
yeah its confusing when your looking for aftermarket upgrades like tires or shocks. Seem like its a curve on the sizing scale, is truly off.. 1/14/16/18 scales could all be the same size from different manufactures lol..
I got all my red GPM aluminum parr on ebay. Just search granite grom gpm upgrades, and of the parts should pop up on there. Then just pick n choose which ones you want. Thanks for watching
they are BSR foam wheels for 1/10 scale on road cars 12mm hex.. you can buy them on amainhobbies.com , they sell all kinds of firmness and widths of tires.
Like the rc cars and the running parts of the vids but their just way too long and in a sort of monotone it’s hard to watch and I just skip or watch in 2x I don’t mean it as to be mean but I feeel others could relate

Can do you a video showing the associated 14b and the from typhon? I’m trying to get a good size reference. Even a YT Shorts would be cool
Nice deal and speedy car you got! I am like you addicted to mini collection…. Cheaper to play with and run!!!

Video does no justice. My next video will lmao. Im happy for the purchase for sure.

I saw those, they look good man.. i just may grab one.. seriously. Rlaarlo is making a good impression on me.
