Sick jumps and build bro! I busted a pull rod on mine but still. Very impressed how much these things can take a beating and even more so with the upgrades people choose.
Nice one. You totally rebuilt the truck. Excellent job keeping the rebuild quick and exciting. You actually showed everything quite well and just keep it moving along. I can tell you put tons of work into making this video. Great driving as well.
Thanks! Yes that was my goal (and usually is), to show enough so it can not only help people do the same stuff, but also to keep it exciting and give as much info as I can. This was a rather involved video 😆 Thanks so much!!
I hear ya about the 1.5mm screws are no bueno to the max . Never again a truck with 1.5mm screws for me . I tried some 4.3” tall tires and they were awesome , gdool on Amazon . Yeah man , waiting on some outdrives . I’ve jumped this truck probably more than most , continually in a dbl sided . She does fly nice imo . I noticed it lost its soft landing and saw I had bent an arm pin . No problemo . Just need to replace the outdrives and check the the middle parts pieces . It’s a good truck for sure . I jumped the heck out of it . Pinions will go too . I like the 4.3” tires with the 27t pinion and turned it down to 75% because full throttle sounds damaging , even with the stock tires . Cool cod . Thanks for sharing .
Glad you like it! The worst screws of them all were on the upgraded center diff. They’re even smaller. My 1.27mm driver was even too big. The stock center diff was 1.5. Makes no sense lol I think I forgot to mention that. But ya I’m gonna replace those screws as I service this some more. It’s definitely a well planned at built RC!
Awesome video and build! The goblinator is a sick rc 😝. Thats a true extended review, lots of useful info for modders and everyone else I really like that. You're the best at finding weak points and not relying on or advertising super expansive parts . Good job as always!👍
Happy Father's Day! You should try stiffer springs and thicker shock oil for jumping ramps. It is chassis slapping really hard which is why it bounces a lot. It's too plush out of the box. Never could get why they set them up with plush suspension when it is a basher and not a racer. I prefer to use progressive springs. They are plush up top and get stiffer at the bottom. You could also try some chassis bunions.
That would help, I don’t always jump it crazy like this. Was really for testing purposes. The progressive springs would be awesome, I haven’t tried them yet on anything. The chassis bunions may do the trick!!
@@DerbyCityRC how do you feel about the legendary thunder 1/10 scale as far as a budget rig? I've heard it's pretty good for the price range but Amazon said it's had lots of return issues. Any thoughts? I'm trying to pull the trigger on either this or the 2997a. I'm sure the 2997 has got to be better quality the price for the thunder is $109 for 1/10. Your thoughts and opinion are valued.
@Brad-bb2io i get so many requests for that one, it’s unbelievable. I mean like three comments about it just from this video alone lol. I’m going to reach out to Laegendary soon and see if I can try one for them, but I have a feeling like the 2997a more. I don’t believe the Thunder has a center differential. Would still be a fun one to test though!
Thanks and Happy Fathers day! I love my carbon Terminator. Got all the upgrades when I ordered it. Still need to install.😂 Evan ,thank you for all the work you do. Great Vid!
Thanks man!! I’d say keep the upgrades for if things break! Besides performance upgrades might as well wait or do it whenever you’re bored lol 😆 thanks and you’re welcome!!
Happy father’s day 🎉 to the funniest dad on RUclips. Every video is better than the last video even if the car isn’t better. Secondly this is the BEST modified Omni Terminator out there. Hands down not even close tbh. This video was great you broke that car down in a jiffy. ❤. I’m an HVAC and plumbing and heating contractor. I’ve been working with small parts since I was 15 or so when I did my first boiler install. You would make a great mechanic😂 I’d love to employ you. 😅. All jokes aside this is the best Rlaarlo on the net. You should be proud dude. Oh yea go easy on that alien he’s a great security guard for your RC garage. 😂😂😂 Happy fathers 🎉🎉🎉
Awesome comment, bro. Thanks so much! I agree this turned out really awesome! I actually was an auto tech for about 10 years, then a small engine/power tool tech for 4 years, so that experience certainly helped 😆. I try not to get to upset with the alien, but then he goes and tries to take credit for all that work 😂. Thanks again man!
Goblins are indeed green. There was even a famous green goblin who hated Man-Spiders. I think his name was OSHA Yellow Goblin, and he might have been in a movie called "Tropic Thunder" At least, that's how i remember it, I'm pretty 99% certain OSHA Yellow Goblin was a Rob Liefeld creation, and he had a massive gun and even bigger pecs, because, you know, Liefeld draws really "unique" proportions. Or maybe he was a Biker Mice from Mars villain. 😂😮🤔🤣 Great video, i really enjoy the comedy you infuse into many of your videos. That's the kind of thing that will help your channel stand out from the rest. Nine thumbs up 👍🏽
I’ve heard mere rumors of red goblins out there lurking around. Thought I caught a glimpse of one in my peripherals once but when I turned my head it was gone. Surely I’ll run into one one day… Thanks bro!!!
If you're using Loctite or any other thread lock remember to ALWAYS use heat on the screw before attempting to remove it again.! I stripped so many screw heads when I first started out with RCs, especially 1.5 & 2mm ones... I always use heat now... I don't even attemp to unscrew it before I've heated it.! You'll often strip the screw to discover you need heat, by which point it's too late.! It saves so many headaches. I just use a disposable cigarette lighter for about 20 to 30 seconds, but you can better control where you put the heat with a mini blowtorch.! Obviously be careful around plastic parts, do it gradually. For ultimate precision you can use a soldering iron directly onto the screw head.! If you can't get to the screw head you can heat the metal the screw threads into. Also, a good set of hex or Allen bits/drivers/wrenches is a must.! The cheap ones that come with your RC are usually junk. I use a Bondhus "Gorilla Grip" fold up hex tool to loosen my screws before using my electric screwdriver. I've tried so many over the years & these are up there with the best, if you want better you need to be prepared to pay.!! (price & fancy coatings doesn't always guarantee quality.. Be warned) They're made from high quality hardened steel, last ages, are pretty cheap ($6 Amazon) & made in the USA.!! 👍 👍 I've got like 7 or 8 of them. Never use your electric screwdriver to tighten or when you first break a screw loose, always do it by hand with your best tool & make sure the hex head is free from dirt in the head so your tool seats all the way in.! When your hex tool wears you can take a Dremel & cut the tip off, but do it SLOWLY, you don't want to get the tip too hot because you'll soften the steel & it'll round off immediately.! I have my Dremel tool on 3 or 4 & stop to dip the tip of the hex tool into cold water every 10 seconds or so. If the tip glows red you've buggered it up.! 😉 😉 I hope this helps someone.! Please stay safe out there & the very best wishes from Scotland 🏴 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🚗 🚖 🚕 🚔 🚚 🚙 🚘 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚎 🚤 🚁 🛩️ 👍 👍 👍
These are all good tips! Especially the heat before removal. The good tools is another good tip. Buy once cry once or buy cheap buy twice cry twice. Thanks dude, always appreciate your comments!!

Yup I agree! The original body on mine broke on the very first crash on concrete lol this is the body that comes with the “higher end” Carbon fiber version. Different material. Thanks!!
@@DerbyCityRC I have one. Thanks to your earlier video! I don't beat on it quite as hard as you do so it is good to know it will take whatever I throw at it.
The only reason for a bend is clearance, so if something was making contact limiting your steering without it, put the bend wherever alleviates that (you'll note that if you use the original links and bent links as compasses, as long as the distance between the centers of the holes of the rod ends is the same, they draw the same circle, meaning the bend doesn't actuality change the steering geomtery any).
They are damn tough but not fun to work on lol Try the zeee premium 4200mah 120c its shorter so it fits in but its a hair wider I took that side skirt off easily trimmed the plastic and put some foam mat in there wow what a difference the battery makes.
I probably will grab those batteries. A lot of people suggested them. Ya know I was worried but I actually enjoyed working on this. I have a mechanical background but it was pretty straightforward except for the poopy 1.5mm screws 😂
That wheel taking flight 😂 yo- just ordered mine. Did you sort out that bolt that always bends on the shock tower? Also- video recommendation- you should consider grabbing an ND filter for your GoPro. I don’t have a modern GoPro but I feel like it would make the visuals a little less crunchy. I could totally be wrong. I always enjoy the content.
Thanks! Yes they do seem good so far. I’ve definitely still heard complaints of the new s2 cups wearing also though, just takes longer I guess. I wouldn’t buy them all at the same time except maybe all the drivetrain parts. Then you don’t mix hardnesses and cause wearing on other components. Plus you will have the originals as spares. The other parts I would probably only replace as needed.
Im luving running the Terminator carbon rtr, such a great performing truck. Also looking forward to getting the new MJX 1/10 monster truck when there released, I dare say you will be thrashing one of those as well soon.
Just imagine his neighbor looking out the window at that moment. All I know is there would be a second video of that dance on the internet from a different angle, lol.
Happy father's day! This is the video I have been waiting on! Awesome build and bash. I have most of those upgrades on my cf terminator other than the servo and electronics and I don't plan on beating on it as bad as you. I think it's going to take my grass and dirt bashing just fine! I may have to steal the goblinator theme though!
Thanks and you too! Yup things will always happen but should take a standard bash easily! I thought about putting in there that I’ll mail out 2 stickers for $3 domestically and $4 internationally lol gonna have some higher quality ones made for that.
Ok ok ok… now… you have 2 choices and only one truck can go bashing…. Both mentioned here…. This upgraded Goblinator…. Or…. The AE Rival MT10 v2??? 🤔 What’s yer poison??? Thanks for another awesome vid bro. Your stuff is just GOLDEN!!! Happy Father’s Day brotha!
Read this yesterday and have been trying to decide 😂. I want to say for smaller jumps and ground control, the rlaarlo is more fun and has a more solid feel. The mt10 is bigger and still handles super good but probably would handle extra big jumps better but it still has its issues. I’ve broken the front chassis plate on my mt10 before and probably 3 bulk heads. The mt10 will usually be easier to get parts for, but I just waited about 5 weeks for my last set of bulkheads because they were back ordered. This is truly a hard decision lol Then the rlaarlo is cheaper too. Also there aren’t many upgrades for the mt10 yet. Theyre finally starting to roll some out though from 3rd parties, and rlaarlo seems to keep quite a few of their upgrades in stock most of the time. Ahhhhh!!!! By the way thanks for the awesome comment! 😊 I guess I would choose the MT10. It’s faster without having to upgrade, even though I still think the motor and esc are underpowered for its size. The motor mount is a weak point too but there are finally upgrades for that. I’d put some 500k in the center diff on that one too Seriously though, can’t go wrong either way. lol Thanks man!!!!
I really like your videos on how to repair the less popular brands as theirs really not much out there also the goblin dancing made me really appreciate the work that went into this video 😂😂😂😂
Bro I Fu!@#s your vids! Straight to the point 👉🏼 with a little humor between, good insight on a lot of the smaller trucks and truggies. In witch I started ASS BACKWARDS! LOL, Started with 1/8 scale, but I find smaller scale alot more fun easier and cheaper. Anyways, you're the only channel I'm subscribed to. And I watch them all. Kudos 👏🏼!!!
Really appreciate that man! I definitely like having all the sizes but I’m right there with ya. When I get a 1/10 scale or higher out, it’s like a “treat.” Typically run 1/16-1/12 because I can worry less about breaking. Super cool man I appreciate that 🤜💥🤛
That's a lot of teardown you did for those upgrades, very nice. You ever listen to Nekrogoblikon? Your dance moves would work nicely with their music 🤣
I currently have to replace the center differential due to a rock destroying the housing and diff fluid leaking out. I currently ordered the upgraded one like you installed and wanted to know if it’s recommended to add the thicker diff oil or will the one it comes with will suffice for normal runs and bashing ?
To me it’s recommended but it should operate very similarly to the old one if you don’t do any fluid service. The 500k gives it better handling in my opinion and helps keep the front tires from ballooning like crazy when wheely-ing and hard acceleration.
@@DerbyCityRC Thanks for the reply! Would also recommend changing out the oil to the front and rear def as well? Also It’s definitely appreciated the work you’ve been putting into this RC that not too many people are covering. Definitely gained a subscriber!
How do get the front end to stop nose diving when jumping it jumps funny I have the aluminum green version I tried ramping it but it always nose dives almost instantly and lands badly
Ya I think I mentioned that in my review video or the comparison video against the hbx 2997a. I didn’t notice it doing that with these upgrades so it could be a small amount of drag brake in the esc. You can counteract it by blipping the trigger in mid air. Just learning to time that throttle blip. All cars feel different.
Awesome video!! Have the carbon edition on the way, I have two sets of those bigger tires I also love them! I use them on my granite and they are so much fun!! Keep up the good work man!!! 🤘🏻
OMG EVAN! Jesus christmas.. I have my buddies .... he tore up the differential and I have been tasked to take it apart.. I've gotten the front half way off and there's a stripped Alan screw... how do you get them out??? And glad I've been watching you all morning while I clean on my day off.. thanks man!
Hey Tod! Ya that’s always fun! So the best way (depending on the situation) is to jam a torx/star bit into it by hammer force and is that. I have a brief demo of doing that I believe in the video where I built my own version of the mjx 10208 when trying to tune the center diff. It needs to be something you can hammer on without breaking stuff. Hope that helps!!??
@DerbyCityRC yes that was my thought too.. but just thought I'd ask you., right now this very moment I have the 14303 Citroën turn down because I snapped the back lower arm AND the shock tower, but the screw doesn't want to come out of the center brace tube bar... mf. Using two pairs of wrenches as we speak upgrading to metal parts and watching Evan...lol
Believe me, me too lol. Lighter 1/14-1/16 scales don’t do well on grass, but anything bigger I do more in the grass these days lol had to test it though lol
Cool project man that thing looks sweet 🤙. Happy Father’s Day! My oldest son has the rc bug now too since I got him a granite so now I have someone to play with 😂.
Srry about all the comments . I wanted to add that on my example the wires coming out of the receiver box were on the motor . Zipped to the cf chassis brace. Overall this truck has been a lot of fun for me to learn jumping . Nothjng ever failed in all my comments here , yet. When the wheels were wobbly is when I noticed the outdrive damage . Seems like one of the dogbone pins in the front went flat sided and shows zero wear on the cup so far compared to the other side . I may file a small flat sop on the next set of stocks until the s2 upgrades arrive . I ll report back in awhile
Unfortunately it’s obsolete now. Even on the Hobbywing website the exact kit is not listed. The esc looks physically bigger on the newer version. It’s the Max10 EZRun system.
Derby!! Which would you pick for an ultimate mini basher that will see some skatepark use? Arrma grom Rlaarlo ROG1 Omni Terminator LC racing truggy HBX 2997a/variants
Gotta find a way to fix the cvd cups from wearing out, ive almost completely ate through them and my kids are having the same issue with theirs, if only we could put the H14BM cvd's on the terminator,,,, they are too short, I've tried.
@davidkanoff110 gotcha. When it’s time to replace, be sure to use the upgraded ones. Still reports of those wearing too but not as quickly. Hopefully they make more changes. It’s definitely the biggest complaint.
@davidkanoff110 this is what I use for the FPV. Just need a better way to mount it more securely. amzn.to/4baPTQk I don’t care much for that gps even though it’s done well with all the crashes it’s survived-ish, but I just for this one I’ll be testing in the next video or two. This one gets the most praise for accuracy: amzn.to/4ba4XxF
do you reccomend this as a good first 1/10 scale basher? i have a smaller wltoys and want a bigger basher, would you recommend this over something like a rival mt10 or arrma granite?
It’s a good choice, but it’s not truly a 1/10 scale. It’s excellent quality in my opinion but with a few wear points like I mentioned in this video. The granite is the fastest of those options, and the Omni is the slowest but also has alot of upgrade potential. For size and speed, the granite. For size and handling, rival. For smoothest driving and the most adjustability and less cost, the Omni. That’s one way to try to describe it. They’re all quite different and it’s hard to say which is better. Also the bigger two will have better parts availability for now.
@@DerbyCityRC yea honestly I don’t care too much about it being smaller, I honestly think it looks cooler than the granite and mt10 but only thing I’m worried about is spare parts shipping time, I’ll probably go with the mt10 first then get this after, I do like how you can buy so many upgrades for it
Yup! Some of the parts for the terminator are showing up on Amazon so might be better availability real soon. Mt10 and Omni are awesome cars to get so I like your thinking!
That wheel taking flight 😂 yo- just ordered mine. Did you sort out that bolt that always bends on the shock tower? Also- video recommendation- you should consider grabbing an ND filter for your GoPro for broad daylight- your shaded backyard clips look great). I don’t have a modern GoPro but I feel like it would make the visuals a little less crunchy. I could totally be wrong. I always enjoy the content.
Haha, right!? Yes I put another new bolt in it. Worked well just took a big hit in that corner. That’s good info as I know nothing about filters and such. Where does the video look crunchy? Like always or in certain areas? I do my best to stay away from the shadows. Where I really need help is close up shots. They’re so blurry. Like when less than a foot away. Maybe it’s just the camera but it’s the DJI Osmo Action 4. Surely that can be better. Lol
@@DerbyCityRC crunchy in the broad daylight (to my eye at least) it has to do with the shutter speed- the camera opens and closes the shutter very very fast to compensate for so much light to not overexpose the frames. When you add an ND filter it’s kind of like putting sunglasses on the camera allowing the shutter to stay open a bit longer. Technically it makes it a little blurrier (most ion blur) but it also looks more natural when you get the number right. The general rule of thumb is 2x your frame rate for shutter speed- looks like you shoot 60fps so your shutter speed should be 1/120th of a second to get “natural” or “cinematic” looking video. These are guidelines- and the videos aren’t bad looking- just a bit crucnchy. lol. A 32 or 64 would probably work in that sunlight (I’m guessing- I don’t have that camera but my magic air 2s needs a 64 in broad daylight but I don’t shoot 60fps so 32 probably would do). Sorry for the info dump. You don’t need to do anything. Only a suggestion.
@@DerbyCityRC that’s largely personal preference. You’ve got the right order down- your content is compelling so anything further is icing on the cake. 24fps is traditionally what movies are shot in so if you ever wanted to do some cinematic sequences that’s the spot - but you have to nail down the shutter speed like I said before or it won’t turn out right(I’m not familiar with using DJI action cams so I’m not sure if there is a manual mode. If there is you’d want to set it to 100 ISO, 60 fps and 1/120 shutter speed, or 30fls 1/60 shutter speed or 24 fps 1/50 shutter speed and then get an ND filter that lowers the exposure enough where nothing is peaking, meaning getting it dark enough so that the image isn’t all white and over exposed). 30fps is traditionally used in tv shows, specifically soaps, and 60 (or more) is what sports are shot in. I’d say 60fps suits your content, but like some of your shots for your RLAARLO Jurassic video would have looked sick in 24fps. Bottom line and for simplicity sake I think your style suits 60 fps.
Happy Fathers Day!
Thanks dude! You too if applicable!!

What a great way to spend Father's Day. Another great video from you.
Happy Father’s Day man! Glad I could help make it a good one! 😊
Happy fathers 🎉🎉🎉
Awesome comment, bro. Thanks so much! I agree this turned out really awesome! I actually was an auto tech for about 10 years, then a small engine/power tool tech for 4 years, so that experience certainly helped 😆. I try not to get to upset with the alien, but then he goes and tries to take credit for all that work 😂. Thanks again man!
Goblins are indeed green. There was even a famous green goblin who hated Man-Spiders.
I think his name was OSHA Yellow Goblin, and he might have been in a movie called "Tropic Thunder"
At least, that's how i remember it, I'm pretty 99% certain OSHA Yellow Goblin was a Rob Liefeld creation, and he had a massive gun and even bigger pecs, because, you know, Liefeld draws really "unique" proportions.
Or maybe he was a Biker Mice from Mars villain. 😂😮🤔🤣
Great video, i really enjoy the comedy you infuse into many of your videos.
That's the kind of thing that will help your channel stand out from the rest.
Nine thumbs up 👍🏽
I’ve heard mere rumors of red goblins out there lurking around. Thought I caught a glimpse of one in my peripherals once but when I turned my head it was gone.
Surely I’ll run into one one day…
Thanks bro!!!
Happy Father's Day to you! Love your videos. Bought my son his first RC truck. The legendary 310E it's definitely alot of fun.
Thanks and you too!!
That’s awesome 😃
Great way to start a Saturday afternoon. Lets go!
🔥🔥🤜💥🤛😃
Looks great Happy father’s day. Bro. Enjoy the day
Thanks bro! You too!
Great video! That Goblinator is SICK!!!
Thanks! I think so too!! 😃
Be warned)
They're made from high quality hardened steel, last ages, are pretty cheap ($6 Amazon) & made in the USA.!! 👍 👍
I've got like 7 or 8 of them.
I hope this helps someone.!
@@DerbyCityRC Thanks mate..
I always enjoy your EPIC content.!
You're just getting epic-er & epic-er all the time.!
This video was especially... Errr.. EPIC.!.. Yeah, EPIC.!! that's the word I'm looking for... IN ALL CAPS NO LESS.! 😉 😉 😂 😂
SSOT&BWFS 🏴 🙏 ❤️
@alantaylor353 you’re welcome!! Super glad you like the continually climbing epicicity!! 😃😄😄😊
Not very often a body shell makes it without getting broken and damaged from your testing. Looks very durable. Nice work on this video!
Sweet! Exactly why I do what I do.
Thanks again!! 😃
@@DerbyCityRC Yeah, the polycarbonate body of the CF edition is extremely durable!
@user-yl6bh1xi8l I love it!!
wasn't trying to be negative really like your work keep it up 😊
No you’re good!! Glad you liked the project, man!!
Good to know. Thanks!
Happy Father's Day the bad Terminator RLAARLO.!!!💯💯😎😎💪🏿💪🏿🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You too man, if applicable!
Thanks!! 😊 🤜💥🤛
Pretty solid goblin moves!
He says thanks!! 😃
Nice upgrade demo video!
Thanks!!
Great video as always.
So you feel like all the upgrades are good? Do you need them all?
Happy Father's Day. thanks for the video!
Thanks and you’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
Im luving running the Terminator carbon rtr, such a great performing truck. Also looking forward to getting the new MJX 1/10 monster truck when there released, I dare say you will be thrashing one of those as well soon.
Me too it’s so good! Yes I should have two 1/10 MJXs on the way. No indication they’ve shipped yet!
I'm just laughing at the fact that at some point you walked into you garden put on a goblin mask and started dancing..while filming yourself 😅
🤣🤣 whaaaaaaaat? That’s a real goblin! They seem to be taking over!
Just imagine his neighbor looking out the window at that moment. All I know is there would be a second video of that dance on the internet from a different angle, lol.
@boduke9428 haha, if you find it, be sure to tag me…I mean Mr. Goblin! 😝
Oh man, you can't unsee that goblin dancing........lol
Silly creatures they are!! 😂
@DerbyCityRC hell yeah! I need goblinatator stickers for mine!
@Nerm78 sweet! Send me an email! derbycityrc@yahoo.com
Great video as always Evan! 🤘🤘 Lots of good info and entertainment. Happy Father's Day!
Thanks Ben! You too man!
Happy fathers day LEZZ A GOOD
Thanks!! 😃😊🔥
Hell yea! Happy Father's Day!!
🤜💥🤛 Thanks!! 😃
Nice! I've done the same thing with the LAEGENDARY Thunder & starting to get there with the 2997A!
Great build & video 👍
Sweet!! Thanks!!
Ok ok ok… now… you have 2 choices and only one truck can go bashing…. Both mentioned here…. This upgraded Goblinator…. Or…. The AE Rival MT10 v2??? 🤔
What’s yer poison???
I guess I would choose the MT10. It’s faster without having to upgrade, even though I still think the motor and esc are underpowered for its size. The motor mount is a weak point too but there are finally upgrades for that. I’d put some 500k in the center diff on that one too Seriously though, can’t go wrong either way. lol
Thanks man!!!!
I see you got the roof breaks too 😂 great little truck good video
Haha! Good way to slow it down for sure 😅
I really like your videos on how to repair the less popular brands as theirs really not much out there also the goblin dancing made me really appreciate the work that went into this video 😂😂😂😂
Thanks! Glad you found this helpful! My neighbors slowly inch their way back inside when I come out ever since they saw the goblin come around 🤣🤣
Very cool upgrades!! Love the Goblinator!! One of your best builds yet and wicked fun video!! Happy Fathers day 😁
This was tons of fun for sure! Thanks Brad! Happy Father’s Day to you too!
Kudos 👏🏼!!!
Evan is the dude .
Really appreciate that man! I definitely like having all the sizes but I’m right there with ya. When I get a 1/10 scale or higher out, it’s like a “treat.” Typically run 1/16-1/12 because I can worry less about breaking. Super cool man I appreciate that 🤜💥🤛
Thanks dude! 😊
Happy Father’s Day derby rc
Thanks a ton man!!
Great ideea with that Hyper Go wheelie in middle , i will do that also , Love you man❤
Glad I can help! 😊🤜💥🤛😃❤️

As always, I love your content-it's clear you put a lot of effort into making your videos. 😍❤
Thanks! 😊
Nice job ! That thing is a goblin monster, you nailed it again , thanks for the great entertainment !
Thanks! Yes it is and you’re so welcome! Thanks for being here!!
*attenborough voice: here we see the goblinator majestically soaring through the open skies
😆🤣 Not as majestic once it hits the ground form those heights 😂
That's a lot of teardown you did for those upgrades, very nice. You ever listen to Nekrogoblikon? Your dance moves would work nicely with their music 🤣
Thanks!! I had never heard of them until I watched his interview on “Rock Feed” a few months ago. Thanks for reminding me I need to check them out 😂😂
I currently have to replace the center differential due to a rock destroying the housing and diff fluid leaking out.
Happy Father's Day
Thanks!! You too, if applicable! 😃
Outstanding video as usual! You are a savage. That thing took one hell of a beating!
Thanks Brian!! It did! This has me thoroughly impressed even though I know the car still has some weak points!
Happy Father’s Day DUDE!!
Thanks MAN!!!! 😃😊😊
Excellent upgrades
Thanks!
Does the carbon fiber version cone with the upgraded outdrives?
It does not, those are upgrades sold separately. However it seems they have made improvements to the stock outdrives since this video was made.
Yes these are my favorite type of videos 1/10th scale basher videos those are also my favorite rcs as lways thanks for another great video and
👍
Nice!! Glad you like it man! Thanks and you’re welcome!!
Excellent video...I'm in Australia and think your videos are awesome.... can't wait to get my Terminator.
Thanks man!! 😊
18:01
That was unsettling for a second there lol
😆😆😂🤣🤣
How do get the front end to stop nose diving when jumping it jumps funny I have the aluminum green version I tried ramping it but it always nose dives almost instantly and lands badly
Ya I think I mentioned that in my review video or the comparison video against the hbx 2997a. I didn’t notice it doing that with these upgrades so it could be a small amount of drag brake in the esc. You can counteract it by blipping the trigger in mid air. Just learning to time that throttle blip. All cars feel different.
That goblin Sure knows how to dance
That’s just a well known fact about goblins. They’re elegant dancers!
Awesome video!! Have the carbon edition on the way, I have two sets of those bigger tires I also love them! I use them on my granite and they are so much fun!! Keep up the good work man!!! 🤘🏻
Awesome, yes these are good tires! Thanks!! 😊
Pushin' cushion lmao! I'm all about that cushion for the pushin' 😂
Haha! I was wondering when someone would comment about that 😂
@DerbyCityRC wasn't going to get by me, that's for sure lol 😆
@NathanStorer-RC 😅😂😂
Damn, that's sweet! Good vid :D
Thanks dude!!
Thank you. Whadda champ!!
Thanks dude!
Spaceship agitated my bunions 😂 thumbs up Brud👍
😂😂 ya he’s a goofy little alien 😆
Thanks dude!!
Man she took a beating - I cringe on those concrete landings even when it's not my truck. lol
Believe me, me too lol. Lighter 1/14-1/16 scales don’t do well on grass, but anything bigger I do more in the grass these days lol had to test it though lol
Nice Gobllinator dance dude!😂
Thanks man! 😂
Any recommendation on a shorty pack that fits in the stock spot? I NEED another battery. Me and my son crush the one pack too quick.
What about the ones I showed in this video? They worked perfectly. I have the direct Amazon link in the description
@@DerbyCityRCoh my gosh 🤦🏼♂️ I guess I didn’t pay attention. Haha.
@chrisperrywv 😂😂 Saul Goodman!
Where can I get a bearing kit for the green version omni terminator
Cool project man that thing looks sweet 🤙. Happy Father’s Day! My oldest son has the rc bug now too since I got him a granite so now I have someone to play with 😂.
Thanks and you too!!
Haha, nice that’s awesome! Cant wait until Max can fix them on his own. Atleast minor stuff. Super cool!
@@DerbyCityRC yes! lol out of my 3 arrmas one is always broken so there’s always repairs and upgrades
Oh ya. They all break 😅
I don’t mind the comments!
Ya keep me posted how it goes!
For sure 👍.
Real dads wear vintage Beavis n’ Butthead t shirts. Happy Father’s Day !!! Stay cool!!
Absolutely they do! I need to catch up on the newest episodes 😂
Thanks dude!!
Love your videos bro keep rocking them out
Do you have the link for the exact combo or esc atleast that you used? Thanks
Unfortunately it’s obsolete now. Even on the Hobbywing website the exact kit is not listed. The esc looks physically bigger on the newer version. It’s the Max10 EZRun system.
@@DerbyCityRC oh okay, I’m new to the electronic stuff but is 120 amps enough for 4s? I seen some guy only change the esc to run 4s and he went 58 mph
Woow! Fantastic!
Thanks!!!
OHHHH YEAH.!! 👍 👍 👍
😃🤜💥🤛😃
I just watched a RC ad using your video clips
Who was it an ad for? Rlaarlo has asked permission.
Happy father's day!
Thanks man, you too!! 😃
You can fit shorty 4300mah batteries, using the stock esc position and add tne extra handkes for the big battery conversion.
Sweet! What brand battery?
@@DerbyCityRC Zeee
@user-yl6bh1xi8l gotcha, ya I’ve seen those!
keep up the great work
Thanks!
Also the steering upgrade is angled cause the rim rubs on the stock... If you have to much stering...
Gotcha, that makes sense.
Derby!! Which would you pick for an ultimate mini basher that will see some skatepark use?
Arrma grom
Rlaarlo ROG1
Omni Terminator
LC racing truggy
HBX 2997a/variants
Gotta find a way to fix the cvd cups from wearing out, ive almost completely ate through them and my kids are having the same issue with theirs,
if only we could put the H14BM cvd's on the terminator,,,, they are too short, I've tried.
Does yours have the new S2 units installed or still stock?
@@DerbyCityRC they are still stock.
@davidkanoff110 gotcha. When it’s time to replace, be sure to use the upgraded ones. Still reports of those wearing too but not as quickly. Hopefully they make more changes. It’s definitely the biggest complaint.
@@DerbyCityRC what camera and GPS do you use for FPV on your rc cars? Been looking for something but the ones I've found just look to bulky. Thanks!
@davidkanoff110 this is what I use for the FPV. Just need a better way to mount it more securely. amzn.to/4baPTQk
I don’t care much for that gps even though it’s done well with all the crashes it’s survived-ish, but I just for this one I’ll be testing in the next video or two. This one gets the most praise for accuracy: amzn.to/4ba4XxF
Nice video !👌🏼
Thanks!!
Hosim Power, Hosim Speed, Hosim Tough, Hosim Fun !!!
😆😂🤣 I was wondering where my Hosim Bro went. You missed a few 😂
do you reccomend this as a good first 1/10 scale basher? i have a smaller wltoys and want a bigger basher, would you recommend this over something like a rival mt10 or arrma granite?
@@DerbyCityRC yea I seen that, I’ll keep my eye on it, thanks again man I subbed
@chrisperrywv Thanks for the good info man. I’ve been considering shooting 30fps. Would that help anything or be worse in some ways?
@chrisperrywv awesome info, thanks again and I will try to find that filter 😃
