That is a great question and it's super interesting to note that these technologies have been considered in the past! We reported on prior radar adaptive cruise control patents released in the last two years, but we did not report on LiDAR- And we personally have been reporting on RUclips just since May of 2022… In consideration of your comment, many initial tech plans get rewritten and refined and new developments are made- Thanks for bringing this up and thanks for connecting with the community and watching our video- We appreciate it!

Yes- when we in 2021, the first recall we experienced was for 6 speed manuals only; a stop sale and required maintenance visit to fix a software glitch- In fact, we were the first people to report the problem. Our motorcycle, beginning at only 400 miles in, would give us intermittent engine shut down while running at speed. We had the bike in the shop several times, and almost lemon law did, but finally other people were reporting the same issue to Honda corporate, and finally an official recall occurred. Since you’re DCT, it wouldn’t have crossed your bike…. Thx for watching and writing in- We appreciate it… Here’s to more miles in 2025!

You're not alone! The current tech overload is making some riders feel less connected to the traditional motorcycle experience- People often get on bikes to disconnect from the pressures of daily life for a little wind therapy. The riding is the best part-and there certainly was a time where the current dash was state of the art. But it’s definitely showing its age now. THIS. The DCT box steals quite a few HP. I've got two GL1500's and an old BMW K1200RS. I intended to buy a latest gen wing this coming year, but am now seriously tempted by the BMW K1600 instead; particularly with the recent wing reliability problems. 150HP would steer me back toward the wing.

As Goldwing owners, who have had numerous technical issues with our 2021 Goldwing , going into the shop WAY too many times for a new bike, we couldn’t agree more. Gold wings seem to be used by couples mostly and for some guys when it comes to safety for your loved one the sky is the limit.

@@MiddleAgeRoadRage Some say you can't put a price on safety. I say the cost should match the aftermarket network. If I can buy a solid third-party product for $300. Honda should not be adding the same basic product to the bike for an extra $1000. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, it does seem like it's a feature better suited for a car than a motorcycle. We are with a ya there !
