Shop Days - Small Business Owner Vlog
I was literally, yes, salivating over that table of needle book supplies loveliness. I’m still so impressed that you have a laundry room in your shop for all your vintage finds. Have a most fabulous and well deserved holiday xx Christine 💙🧵🪡
Love your new space and can only imagine how thrilled you must be. Hope you can temporarily turn off the 'new shop owner mode' and enjoy every second of your trip.
all looks so beautiful Bec, and yes, pretty pretty is a thing - and you've invented it!! Already wondering how you fitted in the old shop !! ha ha.....awesome work and you're almost onto that long plane ride to rest your weary tired self. Have a fabulous time making memories with your fam bam. Enjoy it all and see you when you get back, safe travels, sayonara 🙂 Vick xxx
Wow! In Japan! Enjoy,Bec! It would be a pleasure for me to help you with your ironing😅 and it would be great to attend one of your classes! Thanks for sharing ❤
Hi your commitment is very good - where is your shop located ? Please respond when you have time !!! Thank you 🤩
Congratulations on your beautiful shop. Have a wonderful holiday with your family.
Such a beautiful shop! Wishing you and your family a wonderful vacation ❤️
I'm frankly jealous of those who can take your needle book workshop. I bet they had a grand time. Enjoy your trip!
Hi from Auckland. How gorgeous ! Aaawwww gosh everything is so beautiful …. I want to have a go at making a needle book too … I was op shopping yesterday for small doilies and found a very random small sandwich tray cloth …. Embroidered with a Native American and a teepee ⛺️ in full colour embroidery 🐴… abit vintage Cath Kidston-esque but it’s definitely vintage embroidery..will be the centre page of my book 📖!!!! Thanks for sharing and the inspiration..!!!! Just love your vlogs.. 🥰..🧵🪡✂️📍🥰 … safe travels 🇯🇵 🍣🥢🌸👘🇯🇵
Such a beautiful shop, long may you prosper ❤❤❤
Looks lovely wish I was local for the sewing class
Hope you have a wonderful trip!
Shop looks lovely 💜 look forward to any pics you share of your trip to Japan. Aloha and save travels to all🌴💙
Your shop is so lovely. I wish I could find someone local (NC/USA) that held fun classes like you do. Looks like a wonderful set up in your new creative space filled with beautiful items to play with.
Your shop is amazing! LOVE all the beautiful vintage goodies! What fun to have participated in the workshop (not possible with me in WNC/USA😞). I bet you all had a BLAST💕. Thank you for the shop tour! Have a blessed and wonderful day🥰
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I was hoping I had finally found hoe to quilt when we cannot do what you were doing. Scrunching the fabric into your hand to do the stitches.
Hey the paper bag thing …. You can pick up free mags from charity shops … stitch two pages together and make gorgeous bags ..! Recycling and I use old blunt machine needles when making them …. Clunk clunk clunk tho zz😊
Love your vibe Bec! Especially all your vintage treasures 🪡🧵✂️📍🩷
Late with this since I just found you, but I am so very sorry for the loss of your mum. However, I am very glad to have found your channel.
Very nice, listening from California.Have the start of head cold so I’m up or in and out at 3am. The quilt with the green appliqué I have 2 ideas for a name, the first one is Summer and the next one is Happy, those are what came tome after seeing them.Beautiful!
The doily you mention at about 15:45 with the flannel flowers, waratah, wattle that you mention is a more common design, it may be a more modern design/release - maybe. I remember buying one, Semco? from memory from Maria at Pins 'n' Things that used to be in Boolaroo. It was a new release or a re-released stamped linen that I bought in the 2000's. It wasn't stitched or crocheted. Maria sold a few designs, some native, some more traditional. What a fabulous collection for your Strawberry quilt - I'm sure will be amazing. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Have a fabulous trip to Japan. 😊
Such beautiful quilts and goodies, enjoy your Japan holiday , you definitely deserve it ❤
So many amazing projects!!! 👏🏻 Definitely inspiring and I want to make them all!!! 🫣😆😉 That Strawberry stuff you have 😱😍🍓 Oh my goodness!! Love it!!! If we don’t see you before….have a wonderful time in Japan and looking forward to hearing about it!! Safe travels!!! 🫶🏻

I also love Jen Kingwells patterns.
I love love love your gosling quilt, I feel like you are going to send me down a rabbit hole ❤️
So many wonderful projects you can choose to stitch on and so many lovely strawberry pieces! Enjoy your time in Japan. 🌸
Bec you are so inspiring!! I love that you have so many things on the go at once. I get a bit frustrated with myself as I have many unfinished projects. I just get inspired to start something new and go ahead. You make me feel that it’s ok to do that. Have a wonderful day holiday in Japan.
Your quilts are amazing Bev I enjoy watching yr videos enjoy yr trip.x
oh wow Bec - your collection is amazing! Cant wait to see how you incorporate them all in a quilt - it will be stunning without doubt. omg re the outback wife fabric - your mum sent it to you!
Loved seeing all your works in progress, the strawberry quilt is reminding me of a modern/vintage take on William Morris’ The Strawberry Thief - can’t wait to see it 🍓🐦⬛🌸
Incredible work!
Loved this Bec, you are inspiring me to start new quilts too, based on inspiration from your shop!
That is fantastic!!
You are very talented, with color, quilting and appliqué! Thank you for sharing. I hope someday you can do a zoom quilting class, something for beginners. I wish you a wonderful trip to Japan! Lisa from California (CA)
Thank you! Zoom classes really scare me 😬
Absolutely gorgeous selection of strawberry themed fabrics. I really like Atsuko Matsuyama fabric she does lots of strawberry prints and she's also in Japan! Will you be visiting fabric shops in Japan? I also had the strawberry fabric that you said might be Cath Kidston I can't remember the name either but I bought it in the UK.
I love her fabric too but was going for a different feel in this quilt. And of course I will visit fabric shops!
@Sewbecurated have a great trip!
Beautiful quilt. Your work is amazing
Thanks so much!
I love your quilts and fabric choices! Thank you for sharing! ❤ Enjoy your family trip to Japan.
Thanks so much - we cannot wait!
Strawberries!! What a lovely collection. I LOVE Hopewood Home quilts, can't wait to see how your quilt develops. I expect your trip to Japan will be an eye-opener to a whole new style of patchwork and quilting, color choices, textures, and delicious fabrics. Enjoy!!❤
How gorgeous are Susan's quilts!
I love your vintage tea towels and doilies etc. your quilts are absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful quilts and have a great trip and enjoy your time away!💕
Thank you! We cannot wait.
Love that Jen Kingwell pattern - I've never seen one like it! Your last quilt looks like "summer memories" to me, with it's bits of garden, fish swimming, vintage hankie that reminds me of my gran - so pretty. Can't wait to see what you bring back from the trip~
Thanks so much - I'll add that name to my list of potentials!
Thank you for addressing the how to on cutting up vintage pieces to put in your quilts! Have fun in Japan!
You are so welcome!
Good morning Bec, each and every one of your videos… your content, your creativity, your projects you share bring me such joy. I stitch in bed due to chronic back issues and watch a lot of RUclips stitching creators. Thank you for the bottom of my heart for sharing your creativity with us. You are a dear sweet lady. Kathleen 4theloveofstitch 💕🪡🧵🎉🇨🇦
Hi! I love to stitch in bed too!!
Great video, I especially enjoyed seeing your fabric pull for the strawberry quilt. So inspiring !
Thank you!!
Your fabrics you use are beautiful ❤
Your vintage star blocks are beautiful. I would call them Lemoyne star or Lemon star. Jenny from Missouri Star quilts has a great tutorial on her channel in USA. The story is they were named by someone who came to the states from France via Louisiana.
Such great stars - I've seen so many quilts use them and I love them all!
That is so nice. The square you haven’t put in a quilt yet look hard, the circles with different fabric. Hooow pretty ❤
It's a little tricky to piece but such a cute block!
Do you wear a thimble on your thumb when you hand quilt? I am having a real herd time finding a good.one that fits my thumb. I'm about ready to spend more than I wanted on a leather one I found in Amazon. I would love to know what you use! Thanks! I wish I lived near your shop. It's quite a trip from GA, USA, though. LOL
I don't use any thimbles - I have a tutorial on how I hand quilt if you are interested!
