Just absolutely lovely! I’m sixty five and I have a quilt from my grandmother. They were farmers in Texas. She used my grandfather’s old boxer shorts, handkerchiefs, old kitchen towels and just about anything that had finished being useful. I will cherish it until I die. Then it will go to my daughter ✌️🤍
Bec you are so inspiring!! I love that you have so many things on the go at once. I get a bit frustrated with myself as I have many unfinished projects. I just get inspired to start something new and go ahead. You make me feel that it’s ok to do that. Have a wonderful day holiday in Japan.
Loved seeing all your works in progress, the strawberry quilt is reminding me of a modern/vintage take on William Morris’ The Strawberry Thief - can’t wait to see it 🍓🐦⬛🌸
Very nice, listening from California.Have the start of head cold so I’m up or in and out at 3am. The quilt with the green appliqué I have 2 ideas for a name, the first one is Summer and the next one is Happy, those are what came tome after seeing them.Beautiful!
So many amazing projects!!! 👏🏻 Definitely inspiring and I want to make them all!!! 🫣😆😉 That Strawberry stuff you have 😱😍🍓 Oh my goodness!! Love it!!! If we don’t see you before….have a wonderful time in Japan and looking forward to hearing about it!! Safe travels!!! 🫶🏻
You are very talented, with color, quilting and appliqué! Thank you for sharing. I hope someday you can do a zoom quilting class, something for beginners. I wish you a wonderful trip to Japan! Lisa from California (CA)
oh wow Bec - your collection is amazing! Cant wait to see how you incorporate them all in a quilt - it will be stunning without doubt. omg re the outback wife fabric - your mum sent it to you!
Love that Jen Kingwell pattern - I've never seen one like it! Your last quilt looks like "summer memories" to me, with it's bits of garden, fish swimming, vintage hankie that reminds me of my gran - so pretty. Can't wait to see what you bring back from the trip~
The doily you mention at about 15:45 with the flannel flowers, waratah, wattle that you mention is a more common design, it may be a more modern design/release - maybe. I remember buying one, Semco? from memory from Maria at Pins 'n' Things that used to be in Boolaroo. It was a new release or a re-released stamped linen that I bought in the 2000's. It wasn't stitched or crocheted. Maria sold a few designs, some native, some more traditional. What a fabulous collection for your Strawberry quilt - I'm sure will be amazing. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Have a fabulous trip to Japan. 😊
Strawberries!! What a lovely collection. I LOVE Hopewood Home quilts, can't wait to see how your quilt develops. I expect your trip to Japan will be an eye-opener to a whole new style of patchwork and quilting, color choices, textures, and delicious fabrics. Enjoy!!❤
Absolutely love your quilts. I just started quilting about 2 months ago. But have always had a love for them. I am so in love with every quilt you shared❤️.
So happy you got the strawberry fabric from Gail at Gladdy and Flo - doesn’t it feel amazing too! Love the birds and strawberries (it worked for the Strawberry thief 🤗) I am sure you will have an amazing time in Japan too. Love seeing what’s happening in your creative life 🤗
Your vintage star blocks are beautiful. I would call them Lemoyne star or Lemon star. Jenny from Missouri Star quilts has a great tutorial on her channel in USA. The story is they were named by someone who came to the states from France via Louisiana.
Absolutely gorgeous selection of strawberry themed fabrics. I really like Atsuko Matsuyama fabric she does lots of strawberry prints and she's also in Japan! Will you be visiting fabric shops in Japan? I also had the strawberry fabric that you said might be Cath Kidston I can't remember the name either but I bought it in the UK.
Do you wear a thimble on your thumb when you hand quilt? I am having a real herd time finding a good.one that fits my thumb. I'm about ready to spend more than I wanted on a leather one I found in Amazon. I would love to know what you use! Thanks! I wish I lived near your shop. It's quite a trip from GA, USA, though. LOL

The last un-named quilt looks like a picnic to me!
That's cute but a name already used by others!
