Dear Bec, your vintage finds and fabric collages are so beautiful to see. I appreciate these videos more than I can say. Thank you so much for sharing these with us on RUclips and I look forward to seeing more of your collages and wish we had stores like yours here in Canada where I live. I have watched every single one of your videos and will be going back and re-watching some of the project share videos again… Kathleen 4theloveofstitch
So sorry that you lost your mother Bec. Lost mine under the same circumstances a year ago. Unfortunately you loose them twice but she is at peace now. Look after yourself and give your Dad a big hug. Take care. ❤
I love to see people's beautiful 'finds', so thanks for taking the time to share. Not sure if anyone else has suggested , but I think the petty pink pocket piece is a nightdress case. My Gran always used one. It either sat on the eiderdown or the top of per bed. A bit like we use cushions :)..
Bec so sorry for your loss. The textile collage you created by your Mother's beside is so beautiful. I don't think I could cut it up. It will be a beautiful memory keeper. Love all your haul and seeing all the beautiful things.
In the words of our goddess TS: ‘I can do it with a broken heart’ I hope that the love you find from this community and your stitching is the tonic you need for your soul to get through this very hard season. ❤
I am so very sorry for your loss, my sincerest condolences to you xxx Oh my goodness, so many beautiful doilies, linens and laces. What wonderful treasures you found. Thank you so much for showing them all :) - Jeanette
Many hugs to you and yours on the passing of your beloved Mum the textile project will be very dear to you. Thank you for all that you share 💕 love the idea for the tiny needle book so handy to have available and a great place to start for newbys of all ages 💕💕🙏
I so appreciate your sharing your lovely haul! A time of sorrow, memories and yes, your mum was definitely with you. As time goes by, you will smile and think of the times you shared and I'm so pleased you were with your mum when she was still communicating. Sending heartfelt condolences to you and your family.💛🧡💛 Daffodils...a message in that.😇
Condolences to you and all your family on the death of your mum. I know from personal experience that a sense of relief infiltrating your grief is a strange mixture yet it sometimes helps. You have some fantastic finds in this haul. The lace in particular is stunning.
Great video of your collection ….didnt mind it being a little longer… there are some really beautiful pieces that lit me up inside eg the first English tablecloth, so so gorgeous and also love the tiny doilies…. All the best to you Bec in moving forward and to setting up your new shop….hopefully one day I’ll come over and visit …would love that …..meanwhile I’ll keep enjoying your videos🦋🌸💕
Thanks for sharing, Bec! I hope all these beauties gave you some comfort and made your heart sing because in hard times we need it! So sorry for your mum. Hugs❤❤❤
I love watching your hauls...I'm a textileophile too....that fold over embroidered pocket bag is a lingerie bag, women used to put their silk stockings and lingerie in them to guard against snags in the drawer because silk was so expensive then, and some of the open weave delicate cloths were called lawn cloth...lightweight for summer. Your video shows up next to Kate in the Nest's video in my feed...love her colorful style too.
lovely video. I think about my mum in the same way and one of my daughters definitely feels that she looks out for her. I love the opshop finds videos and I also enjoy your manner, very friendly and down to earth. People need to understand that a business is a business. Have a lovely week and good luck with the final bits of the move, Catherine
I would feel sorry for you without access to the vintage textiles but having visited Hawaii and being astounded by the absolute beauty of the islands I feel like maybe there is a lot to love about living in Hawaii!
Fantastic finds Bec 😊 Embroideries, etc are getting very hard to find here in N.Z too! Very sorry to hear about your Mom 😥 I too lost my Mum to Alzheimers.. a long horrible disease! I feel I'd lost her many years ago so for me it was more of a relief for her. ⚘
So sorry about your mom. I am going through the same type of thing with my mom so I really understand. Thank you for showing us all your lovely things. It is fun to see the "finds" that others get. Also I wonder on the date on the Happy Returns Mother linen if the 83 was maybe the mom's age and not a date or it could be 1883 too.
Retail therapy works. Especially when you find such good things! Ooo, those laces! I'd take that short bit of scalloped lace that you don't care for off you in a heartbeat. Of course you have to be compensated for your time shopping and cleaning and making kits. Those who may be complaining about your prices don't understand business principles. Someone may have already told you but I bet that pocket piece from England was meant to be a lingerie bag. Oh, the daffodil tablecloth! I'm drooling. I really appreciate your appreciation of the needlework made by previous generations of women. I feel the same way; I want to honor their work in my work.
It always surprises me when people are concerned about re using these beautiful textiles. When they are no longer wanted I get to admire all those beautiful stitches. Sue shoot me an email and maybe I can send you that little lace snippet.
I’m a coward. I couldn’t cut any of those things up. All I think of is the work someone put in it. I don’t know if I’ll ever be brave enough. It took me forever to finally take apart old books. Because you are a hoot. I love to watch you
Once you cut a piece and put it on something special that you make, it make the piece even more special. It's hard at first but it gets easier, not all doilies get cut, you can use whole pieces on something. Life's to short just cut it and love it.
The needle books are all so lovely in their own beautiful way!! 🤩👌🏻 If you cut off the bird or some of the pieces around the edge to make that pouch who’s to say you couldn’t sew it back on somewhere else, maybe even on the back or inside as a sweet little surprise ☺️ Also….People should not be criticizing the fact that you are doing all the work to curate gorgeous bundles and vintage items and not expect you to make something from it…🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️don’t worry yourself about it one bit Bec!! It’s a business and that is your job…people do not have the right to be negative about that. Just sayin’….😉🫶🏻 Thanks for sharing your beautifulness with everyone around. 💚🩷
I have tons of linens now and need to organize the….so how do you organize yours! I have an idea but it’s always good to hear other ideas…if you want to share…gosh I love your channel!!!
Hi Bec, Thank you for sharing your finds with us - so many lovely pieces. The small square with the strawberry embroidery would make a beautiful quilt label for your strawberry quilt ?? The third piece you showed from the UK with the embroidery that had been stitched into a pocket could possibly be for lingere or a nightdress .... I'm in the UK and my grandma used to have something very similar that she kept under her pillow with her nightdress in ❤
Hi, I've just discovered you and really enjoy your videos! The item in your last batch of cloths with the large pocket...I think they were used to put your nightwear in, then it would sit as a cushion on the bed?😊
Hi Bec sorry about your mother my prayers are with you , BECAUSE could you please in your next video put in how I can contact your shop to buy some needle book to sew PLEASE just love your vidoes and can't wait too see your new shop
Couldsoome of the very fine ones that you said were crochet be tatting instead?. Also the yellow embroidery, could it have been satin stitch? So sorry for your loss.
Love how your dealing with grief and life led to us all getting to see your beautiful purchases. My heart hurts for the loss of your mom. I, too, had to leave Mom's bedside just before she passed. I don't believe they know who is or isn't there at that time, but it's so difficult. Your passion for your craft shines across continents and reaches every one of us. I'm so thankful you take the time to share it with us!

Love that … that six stitch embroidered pocket would have been for her nightie … on her pillow 💜🪻🪷🌷💜… 🛏️ on her bed
Love your hauls! I’m in the States so some of the things you find are different than ours.
Thanks for watching!

Of course Jenny - why didn’t I think of that!
