Boeing is very close to reputation edge. One more important fail and game over. Airbus in the other hand has wider margin for possible fails. That reputation has a big cost as a company

Enjoyable trip report- not too stuff nor picky.

While they love to claim that they are the best airline of India, my own experience of Vistara showed me that they are the worst of all. I did a trip from Delhi to Mumbai on economy class with Vistara recently and just because the plane was about one hour late, they decided to depart from Delhi without even having all the passengers luggage on board. Most of the passengers who had their luggage left back are on the economy class, because the Business class and the Premium class have a different line at the airport and had all their luggage sent onboard. About twenty passengers + from economy class could not find their luggage at arrival all because the airline had decided to depart even without having all the luggage onboard. The passengers were informed at arrival that their luggage had been left behind so as not to delay the plane anymore. It has to be said that unlike most airlines who ask for feedback from all passengers after a trip, economy class passengers do not have the option of leaving their feedback and this is for a good reason. They clearly don't care about the economy class passengers. If they did, they would be careful with their clients belongings and avoid such a situation. I was supposed to have a correspondance to Mauritius after this flight and I was so lucky that my flight had been rescheduled one day later. Or else, I wouldn't have been able to get my luggage before leaving India. This is why never again, I will book a flight with Vistara or will I ever recommend this airline to anyone. I've travelled on a lot of airlines before but it is the first time I see one plane voluntarily allowed to take off without all the luggage of the passengers. And they do not even inform the passengers about this.

As if someone is worried about getting into trouble by the flight attendants if they have to go to the toilet or something.

Emirates charges more because their aircrafts, seats, service are way way superior than the best of combined US and European airlines. It is like comparing Mercedes s class to toyota corolla.

More like EK gives you way more(like checked baggage) as opposed to AA’s “basic” ticket.

I've tried A350 and A330-900neo with VS but I couldn't find the tailcam. Once I even asked the cabin crew and he did not know if there is or isn't. I will keep looking for it ,but I think many people love that feature.

Well this is with a "standard" 2 class config, the A351K seats a higher number in economy as it still has a 10 abreast seating capability whilst also featuring the length of 1 or 2 more rows. Another thing is that most airlines feature a 1-2-1 on all there widebodies in both business and first class. In such a way, how does the 777-8 seat more? after all the same configuration is present and the A350 is longer. Further more like you said its hard to determine the capabilities of both the 777x-8, and -9 we will have to wait and see if the excessive wing size and dramatically oversized engines lead to it being far too fuel inefficient.

But Boeing is defenitely the best. It has the new Pre-Landing Deplaning technology; where the door opens before landing allowing for a 5 minute turnaround!

The runways at ZRH actually have been re-surfaced over the past years, the center used to be concrete and was replaced by asphalt. Nice report, can't wait for the new cabins to be released next year.

Airbus is also building these at scale and with muscle memory of fine tuning this assembly. Even if the 777x is perfect from day1, it has to ramp up production safely and meet a wary airline

Just a feeling but, I feel like the 777X is gonna be Boeing's redemption plane.

One is for Kamikaze, the other is for passengers.

You have to consider cargo capacity, that’s also part of payload.

It really is amazing that airlines make money. The overhead is huge, now they have to fork out tons of money for late or missed flights. I’m really astonished so many stay afloat.

We are still waiting for the Boeing where as the Airbus A350 is in service and my choice of safe, comfortable plane to travel on and is well ahead of Boeing.

If you are flying economy, BA is better. Much better!

Two things: By the time the new 777 begins service, Airbus will have yet another jet lineup in production. Boeing has yet to prove that their new hastily assembled garbage can stay airborne in the first place. To alter the old saying to reflect the current state of affairs: „If it is Boing, I ain‘t going!“

Both very competitive this will not be the decisive factor, one bring more capacity and for some routes and very profit able ones that is very important, also I believe a lot of Airlines will go for more business and first class sitting and that is very profitable and better in a larger fuselage.

I was a Virgin lover in the 90s and 2000s mainly due to the Dirty Tricks campaign operated by BA against Virgin, and enjoyed top tier status for many years. Years later, I gradually switched over to BA as Virgin's offering became increasingly downgraded, but more importantly, their route network, particularly eastbound, was decimated. Out went the hot tub, haircut, flowers, second pillow, on-board massage, on-board sit-at bar. Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Vancouver all gone, and all routes I've taken with Virgin multiple times. The only thing that remains consistent with Virgin is in-your-face "current thing" marketing, which, as I get older, I find more eye rolling than eye catching.
