My biggest theory is: Metroid Prime 4 was the reason why we haven't got anything. They gave the game to Retro Studios. And who made the new Donkey Kong Country games? Exactly, Retro Studios. There might be a DK game that's stuck in development, before they got MP4. But since they have a DK themed park in Super Nintendo World, we basically got that DKCR HD asspull as a promotion. I think without that, we wouldn't even have had the HD remaster.

I love this game so much i just bought it regaurdless of the nitpicks. No its not perfect but its the best modern way to play it for sure so that alone was worth it.

As I’ve stated, many times, I will support this series, till we get another game. And as my theory has been. I hope they’ll release another game with the switch 2.

I’m hoping and praying that Nintendo is doing this for the fact they will make a third game, dkc returns is amazing, and tropical freeze is one of my fav games of all time. It’s a shame if they don’t release another game. I would honestly rather have another returns game than a random “new take” on dk. Pls Nintendo 😢 plssss.

The internet has ruined my expierience

I feel like we got such a bleh reveal was because they rushed it out. I honestly think we would've gotten something fun, and we'll probably or probably not, see what the planned reveal would've looked like during the direct. On the other side of the coin however, I also feel like this was intentional because a major hit against the WiiU was what makes it different from the Wii and the trailer did do a good job of showing everything different from this one from the og switch🤷🏻‍♂️

Speaking on "What comes after Donkey Kong" Metroid Prime 4. They announced it to be coming in 2025, so if anything the next big game release for Switch is that. Might be a few months but I don't think they're going to release the Switch 2 before that game, and, if anything, they cross release it for Switch 2 and Switch, meaning it's a launch title for the next console.

2:57 speaking on remakes, I hope they either remake, or remaster, games on the DS/3DS such as Super Mario 3D Land although I know that’s pretty much a pipe dream due to the difficulty of putting the dual screens of the DS into one coherent design/UI, although a man can dream😔

Since nobody else is talking about it i have to say that I am SO GLAD to see the wolf link amiibo here especially because i had no idea they had restocked?? And on my birthday no less????? Vro when you managed to get him on MARCH 8TH i was thissssss close to crying. TP and the wolf link amiibo is very special to me (i would marvel at it and twirl it in my hands when i was younger). I got mine in the bundle with the tp HD game which i play a lot and NEVER saw it in-store again (for like SIX years!!!!) so its nice to know that its still around and kicking :,3

I 100% Tropical Freeze on switch and loved it!!! I got it free on Wii U through club nintendo and only beat it but I did way more in the switch version. However, I only played some of the 3DS version of Returns and never even beat it. I will be using my Fredmeyer gift card to get Returns HD for free. Thanks, gma for the Christmas gift!!!
