    the airplanes are a differant size- The 767 is a solid airplane that can operate on smaller fields. The biggest issue is floating requirements and some system quirks that took a longtime to fix. THe a330 is bigger than the 767-200 but smaller than the 777. A cargo airplane or frieght transport doe not merge easily with the mission of a dedicated tanker. The marketing is comparing apples and oranges...

    IT DEPENDS ON THE CAPABILITIES OF BOEING AND AIRBUS ON THE DEMAND OF AIRPLANES AROUND THE WORLD. THAT'S WHY EMBRAER (THE BRAZIL PLANE MANUFACTURE) HAS THE CAPABILITIES OF FILLING THAT GAP. MEXICO HAS BOUGHT 10 new E195-E2 aircraft (with 132 seats each) and 10 new E190-E2 aircraft (with 108 seats each) - allowing the airline operated by the Defense Ministry (Sedena) to begin offering international destinations to customers. MEXICANA OF AVIATION WILL USE THEM.

    The only reason the USAF doesn't have the A330 MRTT is that the "tender process" was rigged AF as usual! Corrupt decisions in the US Military are going a long way and have nothing to do with real decisions for the best product / solution! It will just go wilder under President DUMP!       Carbon [chemical element C - atomic no 6] is soot, mainly dealt with by the clean air act [UK] 1955/6ish. Carbon dioxide [Co2] is a colourless gas which makes up 0.04% of the atmosphere in dry air at sea level. The other gasses are 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95 % oxygen, and 0.93 % argon. A brew of trace gases accounts for the remainder, methane, nitrous oxide and ozone. Of the 0.04% Co2 [400 parts per million] 97% is from natural sources with 3% from the activities of humans. Co2 level are controlled by natural feedback systems with most of it stored in the oceans. [The bulk of the earth's Co2 is stored in calcified rock laid down millions of years ago]. Of the 3% by humans less than 1% comes from the British Isles. So that's 1% of 3% of 0.04% - and I mean .04% not .4%. The atmosphere it continually changing its temperature due to solar, tectonic and oceanic forces. We are currently in an interglacial warming period following the end of the Pleistocene ice age about 11,000 years ago. Other shorter term cycles like the Milankovitch have an impact on global weather too. I understand this is to do with the wobble of the earth's axis. Carbon trading is a con designed to create a tradable commodity for the convenience of bankers, brokers and wealthy investors.

    I think the USAF was very biased in the competition for the contract: Boeing was always going to win the contract. Now the USAF is paying for that bias. There still is no firm date for the upgraded RVS. Talking with boomer friends of mine, they were all opposed to the move up into the cockpit. To force the congressional hand, the USAF decided to divest the KC-10, claiming an increase in operating costs due to parts shortages. BS. There are bunches of DC-10's sitting in the deserts of the US that could have been bought and canned for parts. Always thought both airframes, the KC-46 and the MRTT should have been bought and developed. The MRTT would be best utilized in the Pacific with its increased range and capacity.

    I think the KC46 is a better plane as the a330. The KC46 can transport more and bigger cargo than the a330. The KC46 can fly further with extra tanks inside or with aerial refueling. A lot of countries especially the ones having that fleet of 9 330's where purely focused on using something European. Like always with us eu countries. Instead of buying good stuff from the USA we have to develop something our selfs... The Dutch have the best radar of the whole eu but we still have to deal with German or frence stuff while Dutch and US stuff is far superior. Like with planesand boats the Dutch and US have much better planes or boats. But if you dont have connections our influence your going to be screwed with eu products crap😂

      bullshit, you say the kc has more or bigger cargo. indded the 330 can load more, fly longer distance and has better qualitiy than boeing. And the netherlands are a european country, yes. theyr boats are often developed and produced together with german navy (and others), the dutch have no (more) aircraft-manufacturers, sold them to france and germany. and tzhink, we in eorope should really work more together. the dutch arm uses german tanks from german arm. and we should keep our own good enginered defence-industry. not everything from the us is better. And airbus won several times the competition for the new tanker-fleet, but us-government refused to accept this.

    Of course a nation will order according to it needs and one need for America is jobs....In my opinion, Boing has trust issues and maintance cost per operational hour, availabilitiy of spare parts and flexibillity, will be the deciding factor. Smaller air forces might not need a tanker everyday but more cargo capacity. Even not a dedicated cargo plane, the MRTT can reduce workload on smaller cargo fleets.

    Thank you for this road show in favour of Airbus. But since the German Wing desaster, which in fact wasn't a copilot error as the political gang wants to make as believe, I'm not so much convinced by AIrbus, Airbus technique and Airbus innovations. In one of the fist flights with an Airbus, I get seasick as the intervalls for the wing movement (up and down) was regulated too harsh in a too big intervall. As a passenger I'm not interested in a maximum of environment efficiency, I'm interested in the maximum of the flight safety. For me the dreamliner of Boeing integrating many features of the DC10 is nearly the perfect answer to todays demands: comfortable, fast and fuel-efficient!

    We all know which is the better aircraft here. Unfortunately, that doesn’t really amount to much as the USAF orders for the KC-46 is more than double of “every nation’s” order of the A330MRTT. Unless the USAF ditches the KC-46 for the A330MRTT (something that’s not likely to happen at all) then “Bye,bye KC-46” just doesn’t seem accurate.

    The 757 replacement market was and is Boeing’s to lose. It’s too late for that now. And the 737-7 and -10 are rapidly fading as well. Southwest whose business model depends on the -7 might be forced to go with the A220. All the result of high payed piss poor management and board members.
