Bud came to Philadelphia from California. He heard about Kensington while out west, and eventually made his way there. The first thing he did when he got off the bus was go get drugs. He's been on the streets for about 2 years, and he's been attacked while out there. He acknowledges his part in all of this. He talks about how things have changed since the 90's. From all different avenues. Some panhandle. Some boost. Some do other things. It's not hard, especially when you can get a pill of dope for $2 or $3.

Og spitting facts.. i got out of kenzo at the end of 2021, was running around there off and on from 2015 til then. The withdrawals are brutal but they are the easy part, the tough part is living with the long term consequences of said drug use/ bad decisions, without using those drugs

Buddy, Fentanyl is an opioid but a lot,a lot stronger and harder to get off, and a lot of today's junk also has anything from benzos, cyclizine to Diphenhydramine all have addictive properties

He spot on when he says "when you think you got it, thats when it gets you!" I been clean a few times and everytime I thought I had this recovery thing beat is when it would come out and attack, next thing I knew I was back getting high. Im now 5 months clean and refuse to fall back into my old thinking. Everyday I got to put in work to stay clean, and remain humble. Recovery is an everyday journey, its not some destination.
I definitely get it, bro. I just hit 10 years clean myself back in April. I used drugs for 18 years. It can definitely creep back up on you at any time, though. I'm proud of you for not giving up, though. Keep up the good fight, and don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need to.

Yea something similar happened to me. I had worked 16/17 days july- august last year was exhausted didnt even get my methadone that day they put on narcan drip. Sent me in some cardiac issues( i just got cleared by cardiologist last month) ran my heart rate 120 some nurse told me thats nuts she said that happened to her

Started in 1995 in Baltimore. By 2018 i was tired due to fent. Definitely isnt same. Shooting it doesnt do same thing. It helped me stop shooting. Now that im no longer on methadone my brain just doesnt work but i been out of prison since 2014. In and out of prison from 99-2014. I went to DR Hayes in 99 twice at MD general for buprenorphine. At that point they were injecting us in the muscle with bupe. Bro looks a little older than me in only 43

Being on it myself made it possible for me to try to treat the addicts around me with same decency I expected. I never bought in to having to treat ppl bad cuz they used. Towards the end it's what helped me understand the damage this life was having on me as my spirit started to get worn as well. Started to remind myself of my father who I spent more time with at RCI than anywhere else. I appreciate your work thanks again

Heroin is not the same,its garbage,junk,its cut with god knows what,plus the fake drugs are taking over,cocaine is garbage,there may be places to get the real thing,but its rare,its all basically trash,period,goes along with the times everything including people are fake.
Agreed. Everyone I speak with tells me the same thing. It's all cut with something. Some say they still know a few spots where they can get decent stuff, but not many.
