    I stopped using opioids 17 years ago. It was the hardest thing I have ever done but is completely possible. I must say though, that there are a lot more options in Australia. Yes, the wait time is long but there are long-term, government funded treatment options for all ages. I had a lapse with alcohol a couple of years ago but have been back on track for the last few years. I have had to refuse medication from Doctors sporadically but if you are serious about your recovery, you will do whatever it takes. It's crazy that this disease can leave you in a state like this woman & you will still choose to use.....so sad.

    Its not the heroin . . . Its the shit the dumbass dealers put in the heroin. It never used to be like this . . . Before fentanyl and tranq bullshit the sores and open wounds were unheard of. So fricken dumb, heroin is really safe if you do not count overdose.

    The sad thing is when you get sober and stop going to meetings, counseling, methadone treatments, and you think “ YOU GOT THIS “!! No , YOU DON’T AND NEVER WILL WITHOUT HELP. The high is like a hug from God, otherwise you could just quit.

    I know most people would look at this woman and see a lost cause...just another homeless drug addict...another wasted life. But all I see is someone's precious baby girl.     I was on heroin for 13 years and fentynal since it started. My sobriety date is 2-22-24. I detoxed in a jail cell in a medical single cell and it almost killed me. But I made it through it and will never put myself through that hell again. I have been given a second chance at life and wake up every day so grateful for it. Please get help if you are using. I promise you will not regret it.

    I'm praying for this woman....I lhad a wound almost kill me. I am still going to wound care and am almost healed. My sobriety date is 2-22-24 I had a 13 year heroin addiction that destroyed me. Nothing or nobody can make you quit till you decide that you want better for yourself. I hope she decides to get help. You can change. I never thought I could do it but it can be done.

    Such a problem we have. We just walk by these people and don’t know what to do, don’t know how to help. This poor soul is close to death. Lord please be with her. I pray she makes it to help.

    😢 there was a drug addiction It’s not a good easy feeling, people in judgmental and looking down on you. It’s not a good easy feeling but always keep your head up and stay strong and stay positive. I have been there. Myself and I know how it feels.
