I was addicted to Heroin, coke, crack, pills, molly for over 10 years. I lost so many friends and family due to my addiction. I’ve been sober now for 6yrs and life is so much better. I went from being a homeless jobless addict to now having a great job in the financial industry and a nice home. I have my family back and my dignity back. That's so amazing to hear, and I'm so glad you were able to get out of that life. I was addicted to drugs myself for 18 years. I was homeless, in and out of treatment centers and prisons, etc. I just hit 10 years clean back in April, so I totally get where you're coming from. Life is so much better on this side of things. But you are worried about what this person wrote after hearing this woman's story? More worried about someone talking about their abuse than the video talking to a heroin addict getting her arm amputated? 🤦♀
This was literally me a year ago… with my arm exactly like this. I fought for my life and by the grace of God I found a hospital that actually gave a crap about me and saved my arm… and I swore to God if I didn’t die from sepsis and didn’t loose my arm I would never touch Fentanyl again…. And I kept that promise. We CAN recover🙏🏼
She SHOULD. Where is the help for her, she is clearly VERY; VERY ill and in need of care. I wish her the very best. I hope she can beat this and get out of this hellish condition.
Had cancer related amputation and other surgeries not long ago. The hospital expected me to coordinate the surgery myself, transport myself and they released me the same day. It's become crazy how they just don't put people in the hospital anymore and do the coordinating themselves. They do all the work on the insurance side, but not much help for the patient otherwise.
It is indeed so how sick do you have to be to not get that taken care of even 2years ago?! I bet she wouldn’t need an amputation! I guarantee early on had she been seen as a human, not a # , a junky, nor a paltry sum of $ as these antibiotics are generic+can be, could+should have taken care of it for like $20 im generic antibiotics, oral+IV, drainage, etc. whole situation is one of the saddest things I have ever seen. I genuinely will pray for her+Im not as religious as I wish I were.)and I went to the movies w/my Grammy to see “The Evening Star”-that’s the “sequel” to easily - 1 of the most iconic tearjerkers ever “Tearms of Endearment”that will make a stone, or a soul bleed. Universally! It could almost bring “Peace to the Middle East!”(but 1 side is completely unmoved-physically, mentally, checked out, soulless almost. Broken. “May G-d have mercy on your soul”-providing, you still have one that is of course!)
THAT LOOKS LIKE LYMPHEDEMA IN HER HAND! I am a certified lymphedema therapist and she should see if that hand can be reduced through complete decongestive therapy BEFORE AMPUTATION!!!! Please have her looked at by a CLT as soon as possible to see if she is a candidate to decongest that hand! PLEASE
She’s very articulate, self aware and sadly so unsupported. You can see her beauty through all her pain and physical ailments. If only she could get treatment she could be such a strong advocate for others or she could just go and enjoy her life like she deserves.

The powers, who control our government, want for we to be doped up, when they come to take our country from us. Similar to what the British, and the United States did to China, during the Opium Wars.
Problem is, no one ever thinks it's gonna be them... In youth we begin partying to celebrate life, and as adults we use similar vices to bury it... No one thinks addiction will happen to them, it's always the other guy 'not me, I'm not ever going to get like her'...and this is why so many fall into the trap of addiction. 😢

@@sinjin8576 They wouldn't need to 'force her to detox' pre-surgery. She could be maintained on a clean supply while in hospital. And guess what because of drug addicts like her they are taking it out on us chronic pain community. Who take our pain meds exactly as prescribed nothing more. And when we go to ER for help with severe flares from time to time. And our home meds aren’t working they deem us as drug seekers. And treat all of us like shit, abuse us, neglect us. Was in the hospital for like a month before needing to go back for another three weeks after they screwed up my meds. I've been clean from that shit for ten years now in March, and my life has drastically improved. It's a hell of a drug, and I can't even IMAGINE what fentanyl would do if heroin was that toxic.
She's self reflective. She deserves an opportunity for recovery. I hope she makes it.

The first step to recovery is wanting to recover. Majority don’t. Next time you see a drug addict ask your them if they want to be clean

She SHOULD. Where is the help for her, she is clearly VERY; VERY ill and in need of care. I wish her the very best. I hope she can beat this and get out of this hellish condition.
she does not want to be hospitalized.....or she would run and get help...
I think she has septic. Has to be an infection.
Arranging a Surgery takes a great amount of effort, she will never, ever do it. I wish however, that she would somehow.

She will die from sepsis if she doesn't get help for her arm. Aren't there hospitals that can keep her withdrawals in check and help her with her infected hand and arm NOW?!

My soul is crying for this beautiful person please help her if you have just interviewed her you are in the best position to get her urgent care now
Agree. This channel should absolutely try to help her get that appointment. Even if it’s jsut sitting down with her and making sure she does make that call to schedule the surgery! 😢
Thank you.
I just sent my daughter this as a learning lesson.

She is close to sepsis, won’t be here much longer. This is so very sad.
This woman doesn't have a rock bottom. So sad.

Sadly…..it’s true. Too far gone….
My mother died of sepsis, but it wasn't from drugs.
She might already be SEPTIC and it kills people. God help her❤
How could this even happen? This is so awful! My heart breaks for her. 😢
I'm so happy that life is behind me. It's a nightmare being addicted to drugs, especially heroin and meth. I have 7 1/2 years clean ❤❤ 10 years sober from alcohol

I'm a nurse and I've NEVER seen a hand like this and the patient up and walking. Unbelievable.
And she’s had it for 4 years! 😳 that’s what blew my mind.
@@freewithnature Well, that's what she claimed, it's hear-say without actual proof, eve teresalocash8718- a nurse says she never saw a hand like that on a patient still walking, that alone casts doubt on the 4 years claim

Where was he when she started taking drugs ? She doesn’t need an imaginary friend. She needs to find stretcher in herself and physical, realistic help from existing humans .
She talks so well you can tell she is quite intelligent. This beautiful little lady deserves better and I really hope she gets the help she so desperately needs so she can get the home and lie beside her children. ❤
is the intelligence in the room with them? what part of this person defines intelligence to you? her self care? her choices?
@@dawnatilla2469 You think only dumb people have addiction problems? You're not very well informed.
She used to be more intelligent... That's the saddest thing about drug use. It cooks your brain.

Praying she gets the help she needs ❤ she seems like a kind soul. She’s just lost.
Her hair is so thick and gorgeous. Even in the state she’s in. I’d love to see her all cleaned up and sober. I bet she’s beautiful ✨
There are probably many things that lead to this that we are unaware of because we haven't lived her life. If you've seen this before or have had a taste of what she has went through, just from the little bit she shared about her life shows a massive amount of guilt and blame she must feel for herself, that she was never good enough and never worthy enough to have a better life. When she easily could have had a great life if she had known how to care for herself and fight for herself.
She looks like she has been abused and had her nose broken at least once. She has a lot of shame-based behavior and lack of self-worth. Very sad.
Hold on, did she say she's 30!???? I thought she was 60. This is so sad.
I thought she was over 60.
She looks more like shes in her mid to late 70s. I am age 68 and know women that are 60ish and they dont look that old
She said she was 29 just turned 30 ..I doubt she will see 31
@@zzbudzz If she gets off any and all drugs and they amputate her arm, and she starts eating Nutrional foods she could live another 30 years. Her immune system is almost gone and not taking the drugs and putting back the elements is what needs to be done. I’m heart broken seeing this. I can see and feel that she is a beautiful soul, who is profoundly ill. I’ve been a Substance Use Disorder counselor going on my 25th year and the afflicted are just getting younger, and the problem bigger by the day. It’s a tragedy that more resources aren’t made available to help these people. It’s a very complicated and complex condition to treat. I pray she gets the help she needs. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
This is heartbreaking. What a beautiful young woman, who has lost her way. Hope she receives the help she so desperately needs. Sending love to you ❤
It is, but I think I disagree that she lost her way - I think without having parents to give her love, and therefore having to give it to herself, is simply too hard for many people. I think that's why she's so worried about her children - is the cycle repeating, or are the foster parents good enough?
My, Heart breaks for Christy 😢 The poison they continue to put in their bodies is deadly. Great interview My Friend Keep doing Gods work your Awesome💕🙏💕
The poison is definitely deadly. I'm really rooting for her. 🙏
@@unheardvoices_official 🙏♥️🙏
You know it’s bad when you knowingly poison your own self, to escape the hell of withdrawal from the drug wd at this point, they are not partying and getting “high” they only have moments of less “sick” by way of “poison”.
She seems to understand and accept the root of the problem, yet she admitted rehab wasn’t enough- as is the reality- many times it’s a good start, or may save a life, but it’s only entry level, it doesn’t on its face solve addiction .
If I lived close to her I’d make those appointments and stand by her through them. The hospital and recovery stay alone is gonna get her clean…maybe with a lots of prayers and support she can stay clean and turn her life around before it’s too late. God be with you. You have touched my heart which is very rare for an addict to do given my history with my now deceased brother. There is something about you that makes me wanna take you in my arms and walk with you in your troubles. I will pray for your sobriety and health.
You sound like such a sweet and empathetic person🙂
You brought up an important point, that going to the hospital and having the surgery would mean going without her street drugs. She mentioned being scared of going for other reasons, but I’m sure that having to go off of her drugs and going through withdrawals is a huge fear for her as well. God help her🙏
She will not go to the hospital. She's more scared of being without drugs than she is of sepsis.
@@juliedurden9479 they would give her suboxone or methadone. That would stop her from going into withdrawals. She knows it because she mentioned it briefly.
I've often wondered if the doctors could put you in a coma for a couple of weeks or months until the dreaded hangout is physically over, would it give you a better chance of staying off it?
Lots of love, prayers and hope for anyone going through hardship.
I pray for this gal. She really is a very sweet soul. I hope she gets the help she needs.
2:14 you know what makes me sad besides all this? The fact that she needs her arm amputated, but whenever that happens she’s gonna need a ton of opiates for aftercare, and that’s obviously gonna be extremely difficult for her when she’s already addicted to stuff and wanting and needing to get sober, so it’s gonna be a tough road for her. BUT!!! It won’t be as hard as things are fit her right now. I have faith and hope for her! ❤
She is most likely in worse pain now with the infection and swelling, but yea this is beyond sad and hopefully she gets through it, we can only pray at this point...
😢
There other meds the dr can give after care. Ketimine works better than any narcotic pain killer. Been in recover since 2006 and was given ketimine when I was in car accident and surgery. It also helps with mental health. God help this lady. ❤❤
The lil ol pills the doc will give her won't do anything for her since her tolerance to opiates is so high on account of the heroine.
The gov needs to put a stop to this allowing sadistic drs and nurses lump us in same basket with drug addicts.
Addiction always has a story. This is just heartbreaking all the way around. I pray she gets the help she needs.
I hope she's able to find treatment that helps her mentally, physically, & emotionally. I'm from a family where I know there's addiction. My dad was open about it, & through him I learned that there isn't anything worth it to try things, oversimplified. I think her doing such an open interview will help others, including her kids to understand & never start the way I did I hope that for her kids, & for her, bc it seems important to her. I'm grateful to have heard her story, & can't imagine how brave you'd have to be, to talk about it all. I hope her healing journey & surgery go as well as they can. She has enough insight, she could maybe help others understand. While none of us is there, it looks like many of us care now.
She's so honest. Why did drugs ever have to be made. This dear young lady deserves so much better.I wish I could take her under my wing and be her support....I pray she gets clean and healthy

THEY DON'T WANT HELP
The way she’s speaking, is just how I spoke before I put my ass on a plane to rehab and get away from the stuff bringing me down. The life of heroin isn’t fun, if her with a Shaq sized hand doesn’t tell you that, idk what will. I had a few abscesses and that was horrible I couldn’t imagine this. I got probably around 5-6 years since I last used, we do recover. Usually I skip these videos but my heart goes out to this poor woman.

Even if she is an addict, she deserves right medical treatment...I can't believe she was sent away without treatment for her wrist...How can that be in a country like the US, it's awful
I believe you are right. I broke my wrist and had no insurance at the time because I had no job, and all I was able to afford was a regular cast while it needed surgery. So, my left wrist is crooked and painful after 12 years now!
In EU countries at least you are still insured with havung no job, it is paid into a pot by other employees who work, I think the system should offer this. Giving no help makes it worse, unfortunately. And it does not deter people from using drugs obviously.
She’s the only one stopping her treatment. She has to schedule her appointment for surgery but she’s also addicted to opioids. That’s quite the nightmare battle.
So it needs streetworkers to help her, I see it's a devil's circle...hope she can make it for treatment..hope they can somehow save her arm..
The US isn’t the utopia many brainwashed patriots think it is. I know many countries that Americans believe to be below them whose healthcare services would not have let this happen. I think for a better America, Americans need to be more realistic about the dire state of many aspects of their country including their health care.

I so appreciate your channel. It is very informative and your questions are so appropriate. I’ve noticed too your interviewees are good communicators, don’t brag war stories but honestly answer your questions. This woman had a powerful message about what drugs have done to her. It is sad yet there is a solution…detox, treatment and abstinence for the rest of her life. But that healing comes in steps that cannot be rushed. There are also many with personal issues that need to be resolved with the help of professionals.
I thank God in heaven I took those measures and live a drug free life for many years. It’s as though now it’s so epidemic that I am watching good people never accepting that opportunity to change. My life after using has been wonderful and “normal”. Why is this not happening now? Where have we lost our way and it seems there’s no viable fix? We can offer hope but today it seems it falls on deaf ears and we’re losing the race. I don’t have answers to most. Only questions and proof we can recover.
Thank you for creating awareness for everyone. Keep doing it. You could change a life or save a life for the better.
Thanks so much for the support, Jan. 🙏
