  • I ran into Chris again out there and he gave us an update on what's been going on since his last interview. Unfortunately, he ended up getting hit by a car. He messed up his leg real bad and now has a boot on his foot. He's still struggling with addiction, but says he really wants to change.

Thanks so much for shining a light on Baltimore. While a lot of content creators are focused on Kensington which most definitely needs focused on. But the voiceless in Baltimore need a voice and thank you for being that voice. It's greatly appreciated 🙏🏽💜
Chris I wish you the best hun. If you read this please know you are loved and appreciated 💜

I also feel like he is very respectful of the people he interviews. I stopped watching soft white underbelly interviews because it feels like he’s just trying to exploit vulnerable people- a lot of them women. He always tries to get them to talk about sex abuse or sex work and it’s gross.
On this channel I feel like he is really trying to humanize the people he talks to, probably because he was homeless before himself. Some may still see these interviews as exploitation, but I see it as a way to show the public that the homeless addicts they see on the street are real people just trying to make it through each day. Also to show how hard it really is to get out of the cycle of using once you’re homeless and have lost everything.

Love that you’re doing these in Baltimore, you’re the only one on RUclips shining light on addiction in my city! I was on them same streets (June 25th 2018 was the last day I touched a pill of dope & vial of coke & hard). I feel like it’s only a matter of time before I see someone on here that I know or was out there with

this is common , within the routine of drugs they have a few injuries, now the pain along with the reason they use fentanyl makes everything worse. The less mobile they are the harder it is to get to a safer spot to sleep. No, this does not stop them , their families find out about the injury 2 months after. If ya know …ya know 😮

What happened to this generation??? So many are afflicted like this. In their 30’s. What happened? Streets have been flooded is one good guess.

Kids got a good attitude for being in his situation. Keep your faith in the Lord young bull. Trust me. I been you. The only thing I did that explains how I am decades off that shit, is that I prayed. Sitting on those stoops 6 o’clock in the morning people drove by gone to work, and I was dopesick, I often wondered, how the fuck these people got to where they were. And I thought time to time, how would I ever get there, here I am, dopefiend, homeless, no career, no diploma, warrants, license revoked, every bridge burned….bro. The Lord put some things in motion. HE SAVED ME. Keep your head up bro. If I can do it so can you. Oh btw, morrell park, Wilkens Ave, Brooklyn….im from out there bro…..
UNHEARD VOICES SALUTE Bro. You doing Gods work homie

Their body becomes used 2 pain & discomfort during addiction that any illness, weakness or pain can go undetected because they think its withdrawal so another fix will help. 😢

How about not homeless or drug addict labels but 'injured people going sideways'. A different language with a different meaning. Doesn't break it down to medical issue or economic condition but as people who are our fellow travelers. Peace.
