      @Mary Oden so that makes it ok? Any addict that has ever felt being sick would never ever show how to use or get it for someone who has never done it. (Unless the person is rich and they are trying to get them to spend all their money with them) other than that I promise you that anyone that's been really sick and knows how that is would never knowingly allow anyone to be in those shoes and that's real. The amount of empathy for others and remorse for themselves and what they've done that they wish they never have honestly would not allow them to give a sober person opiates. Have a good day and if you have anything else to add or if you feel differently please write something back.

      @@calvinengle2020 His sister may have not actually experienced withdrawal before she shared with him. She was most likely just wanting to let her brother in on what she thought was the best thing she's ever found. Even if she had been sick before though, that doesn't really mean anything. She was at the beginning of her addiction and obviously didn't see it as something that would be as much of a problem as it was going to be for them both.

    I had a godly experience as well. Looking at myself in the mirror... a mess. My hair was ratty.. tangled. Bags under my eyes.. scabs on my face.. skinny as a rail... ugly.. sick.. afraid.. high.. denial.. sadness.. alone.. lonely.
    And then all of a sudden I said out-loud to myself in the mirror “this isn’t who you are.” For days id been praying.. begging my higher power for help. I’ll never forget that day in the mirror. That day in the mirror I saw myself with clear eyes for the first time in a while. What I said to myself was the universe speaking through me. It was that day I called a rehab. I’ve been clean ever since.

      Having a lot of troubles, bad things happening in your life, and also responsibilities makes you age faster. Ever wonder why highschool kids 80 years ago looked like 25 year olds compared to highschool kids now that look like theyre still in middle school?
      A 17 year old back then had more responsibilities, which makes you look older. Your life decisions literally change the way you look. You wear your everyday choices on your face.

I learned in the end there was nothing wrong with me, I learned to validate myself. Some of my childhood needs weren't met and that carried over to my adulthood and at 34 I learned why I had this void, this emptiness, it changed my life. Now that I know I work on it everyday. Entertainment Fun she did the "inner child work" You should google "inner child work" and read up on it and give it a try! It really does work! Find a psychologist/counselor and you can do all of that work with your psychologist. Make an appointment to see the psychologist/counselor once a week. It will help you!!! Whatever kind of insurance you have, there are many psychologists/counselors that will except your insurance, and the insurance will cover the cost. So all you need to do is show up to every single appointment and be truthful with your counselor and do the inner child work. And with time you will start to feel better! I promise you that!

    • @Asdfgqedfglo
      @Asdfgqedfglo 7 лет назад +2

      Entertainment Fun also you may not like the first counselor you meet with, you may need to see a few different counselor/psychologist before you find one that you are very comfortable with, a psychologist that's easy for you to talk to and you enjoy talking to! You may get lucky and like the first one you meet with! But just in case you don't, don't give up, don't let that stop you from getting the help you need! It's very common for patients to have to meet with a few different psychologist/counselor's before they find the one they like, that's completely normal!
      I wish you the best!

    I’m so sorry for all these ppl. I was homeless in Harrisburg with my fiancé and dog. He died last July of a heroin overdose. I was working at the time and finding him was so traumatic. I quit heroin after that. I had some good friends that took me in off the streets in another state. So I’ve been blessed with a new life and I can remember those times and it literally makes me sick. This country is all for the rich. The government doesn’t help and I’m a taxpayer and pay for them to live. God will deal with them one day. I just hope these ppl can find the same help I did with good ppl. I won’t ever complain again.

    I’ve been sober for 76 days now, currently working through the 12 steps w my sponsor, and I never thought I’d be able to wake up in the morning genuinely HAPPY. knowing I don’t need a hit of heroin or dope to get through the day and feel a glimpse of “acceptance”. I am a drug addict and drugs no longer interest me... I think about how fucking miserable and powerless I was when I was using and I think about the way I was living and it encourages me to stay sober. I would not be at this point without help from my family (who I have burnt nearly every bridge w at the time), I will be forever greatful that they still had hope in me and sent me to rehab... All these experiences resonate with mine from early on. Around age 9 I got drunk for the first time, and that was the beginning of 3-decades of binge-drinking, along with basically doing whatever substance I could get my hands on. Finally, a few years ago I managed to get sober (and have managed to Stay sober). Along the way I found that "traditional" recovery programs, 12- step, etc. did not help me get sober, so I found a way that worked for me, which is basically, paying attention to your 'higher-self', who 's best interests are your own, and who is always conveying information to us, the trick is to learn how to listen. Much love to all who are or have gone through addictions, and all that comes along with that. Blessed -

    I'm almost 6 years clean from opiates. It's always refreshing to hear someone speak their truth and be fully honest. I found being honest and completely open with my journey, the traumas I'd endured and hidden for so long, and the addiction I'd managed to hide for 7 years, was the only way to truly heal and conquer my demons. If I'm honest, i still crave it almost every day! But it's about how I overcome that on a daily basis, and to not act on those urges. Every day sober is a good day!
    I wish anyone struggling with addiction all the love and support in the world. Please remember there's a better life out there for you, and it's never too late to find your happiness ♥

      Sad Girl keep I️t up! I️ know you can make I️t! It’s not easy. It’s not to this extent, but I’m addicted to the high I️ get from weed. I️ do I️t everyday all day. But I’m finally trying to quit. It’s not easy, I️ still usually smoke once a day. But baby steps my friend. We’ll make I️t together!

      Collin Meyer it's up to you as to how you get out, only you have the brain to make your own problems go away, positivity helps, , being the best person you can be , treating yourself good, not bad, loving yourself first. Remember only you have the power to control your demons.

      Bonnie Nagel that’s a pretty shitty thing to say. If your really deep down the rabbit hole, you need professional help.

      +Nina Marie find out about God. I wish you didn't hurt, but as of now you gotta stay strong and depend on a force greater than you. Plan to heal. My heart goes out to anyone who is struggling with life. I'm practicing Islam and I have started to feel a greater force to depend on. Hope you take this serious and pray to God no matter how ugly your condition might be. There's always getting better. love and peace to you.

    Been sober for 21 days. Was a methadone addict, getting it from a doctor. Since it came from a doctor I justified it for a long time. My worst day sober is better than my best day high.
