Planning to try it. I am not in a position to make purchase yet. So, planning on tying Affinity's free 6 months trial. Let's see. I have less photos to edit and more videos to edit in my pipeline. LOL.. So, will take my time to start the subscription. Do you have any experience with it? If so, please share your opinions on the alternatives.
the lack of in camera correction for sigma i series angers me
Hi, no need to be angry over an adapter. Hopefully, something else will come up in the future that can support in-camera corrections for Sigma lenses.
On 1:00 you can see the blotchy colour on your wife hands on the nikon side
I guess it is user error? I should've exposed it a bit darker. The blotchiness because of multiple lights together. If it were exposed a bit darker, you will see the sources.
Such a nikon fanboy 😏
Lol.. hahaa..
What is your opinion Tamron 35-150m F/2-2.8 Di III
It seems to be a good lens from all the reviews but I haven't use it. If you pair it with a full frame camera, then you have just about the wide angle focal length of 35 and tele focal length of 150. It's not quite 24mm wide or 200mm tele. I don't think it is a lens for me. Also pairing it with an APSC camera is pointless. It is a heavy lens too. I've heard a lot of people using it for weddings and if it is your focal length, you can go for it.
@@AlissaAndJay Now after your precious advice I decided to buy Tamron 17-70 And 70-200 first edition Sony And the camera A6700
Good to know.. have a great time..
Hello I love Sony What do you think Sony E 16-55mm Camera a6700 and 70-200
Glad. Have you figured which focal length works for you?
@@AlissaAndJay 70-200
Okay great. So, I find 16-55mm an overkill lens. If you want absolutely best in everything, you can choose it. Best lens at its focal length. But if you can have some compromise on AF, you can go to 3rd part lenses like Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 lens or tamron 17-70mm lens.
@@AlissaAndJay What is the best alternative Wonderful automatic concentration 16-55
Do you mean bokeh? or Do you mean autofocus? Sorry, I do not understand what you mean by automatic concentration..
Will it work with Sigma art lens made for sony, if how good will it work
I can't answer this question unfortunately.. I sold off all of these and purchased Sony cameras and lenses. I don't think you can get this version of the adapter now. Only pro version is available for sale.
EXTREMELY helpful video! I was thinking of getting a G9ii but I have an A7C and 5 lenses, so the A6700 can use all those lenses and based your assessment, it'll be a smarter buy for me. Thanks so much! Tip: I'm a professional video editor and I notice you mention you record your videos at the 600 mb/s setting. This is overkill and placebo bitrate. RUclips recommends an upload bitrate of 45 mb/s for 4k footage 30 fps and below. You can record at 50 mb/s or 100 mb/s (if you want some overhead for color grading) to save on storage and file transfer times. You, and your viewers, won't notice any difference in quality once it's on RUclips.
Wow.. Thank you so much for the tip. I find that HS codec @280mb/s is really good and I am using it right now. I will see how the other bitrates are working for me. Thank you for the info. Great tip! :) Thank you for watching the video and I am glad it was helpful. :)
@@AlissaAndJay Yeah man! Try it out. I have a client who does professional cooking videos for a top brand in the US. They use Blackmagic cameras and shoot at a bitrate of 200 mb/s. For RUclips uploading/vlogs, anything past 100 is going to be placebo and will just eat up storage space / make transfer speeds take longer. Go down to 50 or 100, you won't see any difference, and it will help with overheating issues as well! All the best.
Seriously bro, comments like these make it worth the effort I put into making these videos. I hope more people can watch them and find value from it. On a different note, apart from the spelling errors, how is my video editing from the POV of professional video editor? I am looking into making engaging videos, and also I know I have to improve in sound and music department...
@@AlissaAndJay Your editing is engaging and excellent.
Oh thanks!! Still learning here..
Thank you Do you recommend Sony A6700? Or Nikon Z6iii
If you are not looking for a travel vlogging camera, you don't mind the weight and if you need 6k internal RAW recording, then z6iii. For travel vlogs, for most cases a6700 will do. Z6iii is more useful in many other cases and it is almost double the price. So it depends on your needs. There's always something better than what we need. But understanding what we need is essential.
@@AlissaAndJay I am looking for a camera with a suitable weight that will serve me in sports photography and sometimes I photograph football matches in video and photos
I am assuming you might want to do it professionally at some point in the future. Also, I am assuming that you are still not in either Sony or Nikon systems yet, but considering them. Considering that, you will need a - Fullframe camera for better low light capability. - Zoom telepoho lens for versatility. - You are more likely to use a monopod / tripod, so weight is secondary. I suggest No FF camera from Sony cos they do not provide good value for money unlike the Nikon cameras. You can either decide on Z6iii or Z8 with 70-200mm, 100-400 or 180-600mm lens depending on your shooting style. I'd prefer Z8 over Z6iii. Canon do have fantastic cameras and lenses too. R5C is very light to use and you can go with Canon R5C/R5(used) or even R6ii(used)+ 100-500mm lens. I suggest using USED Canon cameras as they will be replaced soon to a newer version. This is another choice you can consider. There is 1 more choice: Lumix S5ii / Sony A1 (if you have the budget) Sigma 60-600mm (heavy lens but very versatile. If you are using a tripod. This could be your ideal set up. I am giving you the above choice as I saw one of your videos and looks like you film with tripod.
@@AlissaAndJay Weight is very important to me to be light The budget for the camera is around 2500 I do not prefer high megapixel cameras z8 nikon High megapixel z6iii Less megapixel
$2500 is for camera only or camera and lens? What do you own currently?
do you have any overheating issues with the 6700? Only thing holding me back
If you film in 600Mbps format for more than 5 minutes, yes, it gets hot. But shows overheat warning in 20 minutes mark but get really hot and shuts down at about 30 minutes. But while travelling I shoot shots bursts for not more than 10 minutes. If that's your style of filming, it shouldn't be a problem for you. If you shoot in HS mode, you will need to be in a very hot environment and record for really long time to get it to overheat. But yeah, it will overheat. But to be honest, FX30 heats up pretty fast as well. But sustain it heat longer than A6700. G9ii heats up too.. Most cameras at this price range heats up. But yeah, shouldn't be an issue. If you want to record long format videos like lectures, events, etc, then this may not be the camera for you and also if you have an a6700 and you want to record for a prolonged period of time, then you should choose HS or S format 4K.
@@AlissaAndJay thanks for the elaborate answer. I think most of my recording will be in bursts
Then no need to hold back on your purchase.. LOL.. But I suggest you to hold the camera and test it out yourself before you buy. I am thinking of getting a second A6700 body.. haha.. it is that much worth it!
Dude this video was very, very, very helpful thank you!
Thanks for watching and glad it was helping. Yes, you need to reconsider your purchase decision when there are so many better options in the market 😉 - lighter, better and cheaper..
In theory and on paper, but no real world handling and AF/tracking test on fast moving wildlife. Great video!
Thanks for watching. Apologies for not bringing in the real world handling differences between these 2 lenses and you didn't get what you were looking for from this video. AF tracking is limited to the camera body we use with these lenses but it would function extremely similar than different in both these lenses. In my humble opinion, 1. Tele-lenses need to be learned how to use them. 2. When we are comfortable with one lens, another lens might have a different quirk than your lens of comfort. 3. AF from different cameras behave differently and I feel comfortable using the D500+200-500 combo more comfortable than SonyA6700+200-600mm combo for my wildlife setup. But it might vary for different people. I would refrain from giving my opinions on that topic. With all that said, I was more surprised that except the barrel curves and a few other cosmetic differences, I found these 2 lenses are extremely similar. You can interchange these systems and you will not feel uncomfortable. Any I think that's what this video is about. I will try to make my future videos whole with your feedback. Thank you.
Mine drains almost empty overnight. Help :(
Hi buddy, I felt the same until I tested my copy. There is no apparent overnight drain for my copy but if you do, I think you should get your copy of Pocket 3 replaced while still under warranty or get it fixed at your location's DJI service center. Unfortunately, I was proven wrong in one of my previous video, battery works well for me and I don't have a proper suggestion except this.
@@AlissaAndJay will do thank you 👍
It seems like if you don’t need 120 frames per second RAW specifically or the flicker reduction capabilities for LED lighting the Nikon Z6III is 1/3 the price and does everything else as good or better.
Yeah, if you look at it that way. A9m3 just not just that though. Once you see the need for that camera, you would pay for it. Autofocus is just perfect and I think it is worth the money if you aren't keen on 6K. Nikon Z6iii is a really good compromise for the price. That's what it is. Nikon is still playing catchup with other brands. I love Nikon and I think for the price, Nikon Z6iii is one of the best value for money camera in Nikon ecosystem next to Nikon Z8. I would totally go for Z8 over A9m3 or Z6iii if only Z8 had a vary-angle screen. At this point in life, it is more of what you are willing to lose buying a camera than what the camera brings to you. 1. With Z8, you get almost everything except the vary-angle screen (for people like me). 2. With Z6ii, not as much resolution, not as much AF performance, not as stacked. 3. With A9m3, not as much resolution, MONEY. Hahaha..
What is Nikon playing catchup with these days? Autofocus seems as good as anything Sony or Canon with the firmware 5 and 2 on Z9/8 and ZF and Z6iii are close to those firmwares. Any comparison a year old now is obsolete for AF with them. I read that all the time but I think people are still a few years behind where Nikon is actually at in 2024. I’ve watched the extensive comparisons by Steve Perry who owns the A1 and Z9 and he prefers the Z9 at this point, he calls the Autofocus on par now but Nikon has a big advantage with built in TC’s on the long lenses that nobody else has. Steve owns them both and just doesn’t come off as an influencer who’s sponsored like a Jared Polin who seems to always be trying to find a marketing point for Canon when he does a review. Another good one is wild Alaska who owns and uses all these high end cameras. These guys seem to all be using Nikon these days which is saying a lot about where Nikon’s at. They can afford any of them. I feel like AF is beating a dead horse in 2024 as they’re all getting high 90’s hit rates at this point. Nikon has quietly snuck up on them with well rounded camera’s like the Z8 that cost less and offer better buffer performance, better video, really good color and AF thats just as effective. The only advantage I can see in Sony Af isn’t a better hit rate, but an easier to use full area AF that just works on everything without changing any settings. So for the full auto crowd that I can see being appealing as you don’t need to learn any details and just leave it in that one mode. I looked all over the market and ended up with the Z8. It seemed to pull together everything where Sony had things I wanted but spread across different cameras, Nikon had it all in one and it costs less. Canon was dead to me with the weather sealing being ONLY in the super expensive L glass.
"I looked all over the market and ended up with the Z8. It seemed to pull together everything where Sony had things I wanted but spread across different cameras, Nikon had it all in one and it costs less." My sentiments exactly! But with that said, for people on budget, at the moment, Sony A6700 is the Sony's version Nikon Z8. I so wanted to buy Z8. But more than money, there is one more issue that is stopping me from considering Nikon system. WEIGHT! There are lens from Nikon - 600mm F6.3, 14-30mm F4 that are super awesome and light. But all the Nikon bodies are super heavy compared to Sony. So, for the time being I am going to stick with A6700 as my shoulders are weak but I do love and appreciate Nikons. Here is my latest video explaining this: ruclips.net/video/X987lUW4zoA/видео.htmlsi=vyayBxJZ_gmRlGYb
@@AlissaAndJay I think the OM series is where it’s at if weight is the ultimate concern. An OM5 and 75-300 is a fierce little combo that is super small and light compared to any of the FF or APS-C options.
I tried MFT system and I am not happy with the photo quality. They all look digital to me. Although your suggestion sounds excellent, I will not go thr MFT way. Thanks for your reply.
Those white lenses do look cheap, the Nikon Z 180-600 is a magical lens.
hi, when using ETZ21 with Sony Lenses, do we have to turn OFF the lens correction + vignetting on Nikon's body?
I didn't turn it off. And I I don't think you will need to turn it off.
@AlissaAndJay thanks for your reply. If it didn't turn off, will the camera get confused and apply the wrong correction on JPEG? Initially I thought have to turn off in camera lens and vignetting correction and only perform a manual correction with lightroom. No? Then what about video?
Honestly, I used the adapted lenses mostly for videos and for that purpose I didn't have to turn it off. Now I don't own the system anymore and I don't know how it would behave if the corrections are turned-off. Sorry, I am unable to answer your question.
@@AlissaAndJay hi, no worry. Many thanks for your reply. :-)
Hi , thank you for the video! I have one question , when you connect A6700 to your phone with cable and using this app , on 4K eye autofocus still works or not?
Thank you for watching the video. The app doesn't affect the functioning of the camera and so eye AF works.
@@AlissaAndJay I asked because in some Sony cameras like ZV E10 when you connect anything through USB or wirelessly with smartphone connect function, eye AF doesn't work in 4K , it only works in 1080. So in A6700 it doesn't affect it , right?
It doesn't afftlect the eye autofocus. The app just stops working but the camera continues to work. Don't pay for this app. Just use the free version and you will be good.
@@AlissaAndJay Thank you for your reply! I actually own this app for nearly 2 years and I didn`t face those issues you mentioned in the video. I own ZV-E10 but I am planning to sell it and buy A6700. On ZV-E10 eye AF stops working on 4K if it is connected to Monitor+ app through cable or wifi. It only works with 1080p 30fps when it is connected to app , I just wanted to know if same thing happens with A6700.
I see. Looks like there are different app issues with different cameras and by extension I assume, different issues with different cables and phone. On a different note, A6700 is the only camera worth buying today. I've made a few videos about it. I am also working on another video on this topic - G9ii / GH7 vs A6700. I hope you don't make your A6700 purchase decision base on this app. I sold ZV-E10, FX30, G9ii, etc., and finally settled on A6700 and I couldn't be happier using it.
using the word "despise" is strong, a decent person would reserve usage for extreme circumstances, certainly not for an object like a camera. if you cant get video or pictures out of this camera then the issue is probably in the mirror.
I wonder if you watched the entire video before commenting.
@@AlissaAndJay you set the tone with the title. I skipped most of the video. I didn't want to give you the value of me watching it all
Okay.
There is a new PRO version, has it improved. All the reviews Ive watched it was on a Z9 or Z8 and there it worked very well
Hej, great video, very helpful, I will ask because maybe you have some experience about that I'm looking for shotgun microphone to use with DJI MIC2 transmiter like you did at video and I have to decide between the Rode Videomic NTG and the Sennheiser MKE600 Have you some experience with Rode Videomic NTG ? You think which one can have better performance with DJI MIC2 transmiter ? I know Sennheiser MKE600 with ZOOM is giving incredible results but I make titkok videos and I will never use zoom transmiter for that..
Thanks for watching the video. IMO, it depends on what you value. So here are the list of things you might value and what's better. Depending on what you value, I think you can make the decision. Weight: NTG (95gms vs 124gms for MKE600 + battery weight for both) Size: NTG Audio quality: MKE600 Surrounding sound rejection and directional audio for a distant subject: MKE600 Wind noise rejection: Depends on the dead cat/ other solutions. MKE600 will perform better Voice: MKE600 - neutral All Rode - warmer Shock mount: NTG Versatility: If XLR recorder- MKE600 If USB-C - NTG Both support TRS 3.5mm jack In my experience, I do not use audio directly into computer. I use audio directly into camera or record in recorder or transmit to the receiver while recording into transmitter. So, I prefer XLR from MKE600, even when I find no difference in using it between 3.5mm jack and XLR. I did choose MKE600 over NTG. But depending on your needs, your choice may vary. I don't recommend either of them for indoor use. I find cardiod mics like NT1 Gen5 performing much better in indoors without sound treatment. Hope it helped.
Additionally, one more thing to consider: You can use MKE600 with xrl, 3.5mm jack and USB type c (via converter) compatible devices while NTG is not that versatile. Why this is important because some cameras like Sony has XLR handles which can't take 3.5mm line inputs. Well, if you plan have peace of mind, just go with MKE600 without having a need to upgrade in the future. But I have to say, I prefer Rode NTG5 sound stage over Sennheiser. Not so much with NTG.
@@AlissaAndJay oh man, really apreciate your answer, now I can clearly see what I should do! After all I decide to buy MKE600. Like you said in another answer, with the MKE600 I can easily upgrade my setup by purchasing a zoom recorder and using XLR which will ultimately provide much better sound quality as I saw at your video Thanks again!
Wish you the best and happy creating content :)
The closer the more "wobbly" - this is not related to the gimbal but the fact that you can't lock your hand to xyz and the very physical fact that ANY gimbal has a limitation: It does not stabilize xyz movements, only rotational movement, and the parallax effect just gets amplified. If the gimbal moves 1 cm from left to right, it has a HUGE effect when being close, but almost no effect when shooting regular selfie shots - and no effect at all when shooting wide shots. Also, that's why you get the bobbing up/down motion when walking (regularly) with a gimbal. Real Steadicams and Ronin 4D compensate for the z-movement - but for closeups you would need x-y compensation as well, which is kind of complicated if this should be included in a pocket device. Use a slider instead 🙂
Thanks for the explanation 👍.
Best part is the Waterfall❤❤
Yesss! You should come visit! :D
Awesome
Thank you so much! ❤
Hi Could you try a close up shot with the dji on a tripod and you moving the subject in front of the camera? I'm wondering how stable the focus will be. Thanks
You could do that and change the settings to not track the subject. Then you can move the subject close to the Pocket 3 lens. The image will be stable. But that is not the way I film. I move the camera close to the subject.
@@AlissaAndJay thanks for your reply
Hi, thanks for the video, I often shoot close up shots and almost bought an osmo pocket3. Is there already a software update that would solve this?
No. There were software updates but none of them had addressed this issue. Some tech savy gimbal users has commented in this video about how the manufacturers can fix this issue. But I don't think they will.
It definitely looks like it could be petrified. The Elephant rock in Iceland is said to be petrified- it truly looks like a Woolly Mammoth- minus the tusks, but look it up. It’s wild. Animals were a lot bigger millions of years ago.
Oh wow! Yes, the Elephant rock does look like a real elephant!
😂
Thank you for watching. ^_^
Anything but a white lens…
LOL.. I am not too sure about it. But thanks for watching the video and sharing your opinion in the comment.
How do you connect the NTG please - I have the mic and I don't understand how you have connected it.
When you disconnect the cable behind the microphone by pressing the button on the cable connector, you will be left with just the mic on the shock mount. You can just release the mic tube from the shock mount and slide insert it into Zoom F3 on any of the XLR port. If you still have trouble, let me know.. I will make a video and share the link here.
Nice. You're calling some features why I enjoy using Panasonic cameras "impractical". It's mostly video gripes in a stills-focused camera as well. As for colour science differences - it's a different sensor. That said, I would rather have GH6's colour science.
Lol.. I purchased this camera for the love of "impractical" stuff I mentioned. For travel vlogging and wildlife photo and videography, not at all helpful. Many missed awesome moments made me dispise this camera. FYI, It is marketed as hybrid. The video features are plenty in this camera. And of course any feature available in this camera will be criticized if it is usable. I also made a video crowning it to be the best hybrid camera before buying it. Gosh I was so wrong. Whatever works for you, works for you. I am just sharing why I hate this camera so much.
Great tip, Alissa & Jay! Can't wait to try this for improved ease and efficiency.
How would you rate these cameras compared to G9II? I am looking for a travel camera that also has good video capabilities. G9II seems better than both, apart from the quirks you mention in your videos and the DOF (which I plan on circumventing by using a speedbooster when required).
The things I mentioned about G9ii in my videos are not quirks, those were the most annoying practical difficulties using G9ii over multiple trips, using it in various weather conditions. G9ii is an excellent camera. You don't need to get a speed booster for travel. For me, 12-60mm was more than enough. Whenever i needed wider angle, i had 9mm f1.7. DOF wasn't an issue for me. But other issues were super annoying that I decided to sell it. After switching to sony a6700, I realized a few things: the system is cheaper than MFT, photos and videos are better quality in most cases and most of all fewer annoyances with no deal breakers. I just using 6700 with 11mm f1.8 lens and viltrox 27mm f1.2 with it. 11mm f1.8 is one of the most underrated lens in the world. It is the widest and brightest prime for its size, weight, IQ, price and weather sealing. Best travel lens. But I consider buying Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 in the future. See there are so many good 3rd party cheap lenses. I actually do not miss the stabilization from G9ii. In fact after using both, I feel like although G9ii's stabilization is better, it is overrated. Spec sheet is not the end of story. I fell into that trap earlier and now I am warning everyone to test the cameras thoroughly before buying it to see if it suits your use case. Do not make the mistakes I made. 1 more thing. I used the highest quality for filming in G9ii which means huge files, more SD cards, more SSD storage and heavy on my computer to edit. Sony's HS codec is really good and helps save a lot of space. So yeah, I really favor 6700, but G9ii is not that bad. It just is not necessary. It is for sure over priced and overrated. Definitely 100% better photo quality from A6700 or s20. If you shoot photos, don't go for MFT. They are all too digital, like phone camera quality.
Yes I love my D500... magnificent camera & results... cheers 🦘🦘😀
Glad to know.! I feel the same way too.. Thanks for watching the video.. Happy shooting.. Cheers!

Oh wow, das was vor 16 Jahren! 😱
Hey iam planning to buy nikon Zf for wedding photography what do you say about this or suggest me a better than this in the same price range.
Depends on what your focus (Photos or Videos) and lens selection is. Lens selection will heavily impact your decision. If I were to plan on shooting wedding (photos) I would consider Sony for today. There are some downsides on choosing ZF + Nikkor 50mm F1.2 for wedding photoshoot. Although it is great and balances well, I would rather choose it for a portrait shoot than wedding shoot. Yes, both are different. In portrait, you will have more freedom to plan your photos but in wedding, it's more of planning for the action. I wouldn't choose this combo. There are better options. I would go with Sony A7cii (/ used Sony a7iv) + Sigma / Sony 50mm F1.2 GM, as this will be a much better combo in terms of weight, handling and AF. If you fancy 24mm / 85mm focal lengths, Sony GM lenses are a much preferable options compared to Nikon ecosystem. Perhaps, if you want zoom lenses, Sony ecosystem offers 24-70mm F2.8 GMII. Or if you want to stick with Nikon, you may choose Z6ii / Z7ii used as they offer better handling to hold the heavier lenses throughout the day but the AF is not as good as Sony. Canon lenses, even though equally sharp, it is just as heavy as Nikon's. I wouldn't look into any other brands. For Videos, I would consider Panasonic S5ii / S5iiX. Next option will be Sony A7iv used or a7Cii. Every camera in this price range have 4K 60FPS crop. Nikon ZF, although is a great camera, I would never recommend it as the only camera to carry on a wedding photo / video shoot. It is highly capable but you can keep it as a B-cam. Hope you can weigh the constraints on the wedding shoots and evaluate your buying decision.
I know. I own that lens. Is outstanding.
I am happy for you. Thank you for watching the video and happy shooting :)
Ahhhhh the Premier room. Thank you so much for your reply 🎉
Yes, it's the Premier room. You're most welcome! ☺️
Tested the A9 III extensively? For many hours during a trade show and in show rooms? 🤣 Wow, that's what I call a real life test of a camera with this much of a potential 🤔
Lol.. I honestly don't have much use for this camera.. 😕
What size is your room?
This one's 37 square meters. They also have other options like 30, 53, 65, and 93 square meters. Thank you for watching!
I'm having the same problem. Everyone who demonstrated the camera showed how great it is for filming selfie and landscapes. No one mentioned that it can't take close ups without a tripod. It was an expensive purchase and the wobble is aggressively over adjusting, causing jerky motions, not just the regular shake of my hands. Really disappointed.
Thanks for watching the video! I am disappointed as well.. :(
does your g9ii rattle with a high pitched rattle near the shutter area? not ibis shake cause mine has this light rattle when the camera is on, and i shake the camera a little.... also the mic sucks. i actually agree with you; i sold my gh6 to get a g9ii, and i miss how the gh6 was the best camera, without phase detect. and the g9ii is the phase detect, without the "camera" hahaha
Hahaha.. good one. According to pro Panasonic Lumix users, Lumix is just not consistent and they just don't care if they are. Many still believe GH5 is better than GH6 and G9ii. I didn't hear rattle sound 😳. I just felt thr vibration of the powerful IBIS engaging and disengaging. Could be some QC issue. Thank you for watching the video. Hope you can replace G9ii with something else that you like..
@@AlissaAndJay hahaha i thin then i'll become of the next many who believe the gh6 is better than the g9ii i have too many mft glass to give up this system. At the end of the day i love this system cause i can bring 3-4 lenses in a tiny sling bag out for trips without breaking the back! hoping the gh7 will be goooooood 🤞🤞
Haha.. I am hoping for the same...
i just noticed this issue too. Not in video but i was shooting indoors at night. My room lit with a temp of around 3700k. the image on the screen in AWB is perfect, actually very accurate. but the second i take a photo, i see the entire image in the live view turn slightly green, and then slowly shift back to normal. This results in every photo with a green tint. setting the WB anything but Auto results in a reasonably faithful image to what is seen in the live view. I reckon the g9ii has a AWB that is just TOO sensitive that the act of the shutter closing or just the sensor itself reading out the image causes the white balance to shift. perhaps they can solve this in a firmware.... 😢
Yeah I hoped so too.. but if they still haven't, I doubt they will change in the future. In fact I reported these issue to Lumix Thailand in person a while ago. I wonder if it was even considered.
Amazing!! Thank you for sharing!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching the video.
6:40 then dont use auto white balance lol
Lol, you are not the 1st one to comment this. So please checkout my replies to the other comments. Thanks for watching the video.
I watched this video when you first posted it , and watching it again you are spot on for your ! use case scenario , such honesty on you tube is a rare thing , as a original G9 user , i can not agree with you more for your ! use case and mine ! i new the colour science was off straight away compared to the accurately set up G9 original , but i did not want to believe it , so i waited , but still i am staying with the original G9 and the gh5 , and like you i don't want to loose all i have just for that phase detect , so i may get GH6 or wait for GH7 but only if the GH7 has the same build and features as GH6 but with phase detect and a built in ND option , but no mater what , i won't be selling my original G9 for a long while if ever , its still awesome just as is the GH5 / and the LIGHTER WEIGHT GH4 BUILT IN FLASH , A JOY TO USE / AND VERY LIGHT WEIGHT BUILT IN FLASH HACKED GH2 FOR TRIPOD WORK AND CLASSIC 14 MEG PHOTOS , BUT IF YOUR NOT WORRIED ABOUT SPEED OR ADDING ON AN SSD , AND DON'T MIND SPENDING AGES COLOUR CORRECTING OR ! YOU LIKE THE COLOURS OF THE G9MK 2 , THEN ITS A GREAT CAMERA FOR THE STABILIZATION AND AUTO FOCUS FOR MANY PEOPLE , BUT NOT ME . CHEERS AGAIN FOR YOUR HONESTY . 👍👍👍👍👍🤓
Thanks for watching the video. I received a lot of backlash in the comments with only a few agreeing with me. Regardless, I am showing my experience using the camera and pointing out with evidence where this camera goes absolutely wrong and how it is a deal breaker. I will not stop making such videos, LOL. Thanks again. :)
