I suppose if one is a gear junkie then switching camera systems on the regular might be fun. But for most folks switching is not only too expensive because they're invested in a lens system but it's also not necessary unless you have a very specific use case in mind. Gear junkies talk themselves into believing that the newest and shiniest camera is some sort of revolution that will allow them to take ever sharper photos and masterpiece videos but if the specs of any two or three given cameras are within the typical strata for apples to apples comparison then no one will ever be able to tell a difference. Can you prove a difference with test patterns and A/B switching? Of course. But it's like going into Best Buy a trying to judge similar level TV's. In the store you might see a difference a subtle difference in one area or another. But in your home all of them are great.

Not very specific, but still good video.
I'm happy with my A6700, even though the A7CII would give me the better options to mix Full Frame and lighter, smaller APSC lenses.
My lens collection kinda ties me to Sony, because selling and buying other lenses is a loosing business.

Yeah, I considered A7cii too but when I want FF photos, I will have switch between lenses. I have to think about using my cameras in hybrid and travel situations. I don't have the liberty to do that in most cases. I also know the limitations APSC and am comfortable working around it. The more I use A6700, the more convenient I feel it is.
I was stuck with 7 lenses for my Fuji XT4 body. When I sold all of them, I felt it was a necessity. I think I'll keep jumping between Nikon and Sony. Hahaha. Love them both.

Pretty stupid to make a video based on vaporware, but Sony users seem to always feel inferior.

I hope you watched the full video. I was a Nikon shooter longer than Sony. Also, I've used Fuji and Panasonic for while too. I do not have any brand loyalty. Sony users always feel inferior? May be sure, Sony doesn't always provide the best of options like Nikon Z8.
You seem to be confused about what vapourware is.
      "noun: vapourware
software or hardware that has been advertised but is not yet available to buy, either because it is only a concept or because it is still being written or designed."
But thus video is based on rumors tho. Yeah it is stupid 🤣🤣

@@AlissaAndJay As a developer, I know what vaporware is but used the term to consolidate. The meaning has broadened across the decades and is commonly used to refer to a product that doesn't exist.

More importantly, is to use for deception for sales. Example, if I were to sell Z90, I would be selling vapourware. Rumors aren't vapourware while vapourwares can be based on rumors. You being developer is irrelevant 😅. I am merely expressing my reaction to rumors. Do you feel offended?

@@AlissaAndJay Really, you're going to be pedantic about this? My first impression of you was absolutely correct. Get a life.

It's it really that much of a difference in the AF between the newer Nikon's and Sonys? As far as I understand they are all awesome with only slight differences.
Right think you made the wrong choice. I want to downsize from my Z6 and will wait a little longer, otherwise I'll go for the a6700. What really speaks to me with the Sony is the lens selection and "range finder style".

Yeah, I tested Z8 and Z9. In everyday use, and if you only have Nikon system, you wouldn't notice the difference between Sony unless use them side by side. I did just that and boy it was instant in Sony a6700. I am not talking about other Sony cameras, just a6700. It works great even at -5EV. Just was using last night with 200-600 lens. Nikon still need to catch up. I've used D500 for about 3 years and Z6ii for about 2 years. I am very familiar and comfortable using Nikon cameras. It was hard for me to switch to Sony. But I am happy I did. Still love Nikon and might switch back once it catch up with Sony in AF.
Thanks for watching the video and sharing your opinions.
