  • In this video, I show you the comparison between audios from different configuration of some of the best recording devices - Rode NTG5 + Zoom F3 + DJI Mic 2 - 32-bit Float - which has the capability to record 32-bit float audio and also with introduction of Voice Isolation in post using Davinci Resolve Studio. I was in a nearly perfect spot in a park with a lot of noise around me to test how well the noise is being picked up by the microphones and is being reproduced in the post. This gives me an understanding on the kind of configurations I need to record audio during my travels as well.

How do you connect the NTG please - I have the mic and I don't understand how you have connected it.

When you disconnect the cable behind the microphone by pressing the button on the cable connector, you will be left with just the mic on the shock mount. You can just release the mic tube from the shock mount and slide insert it into Zoom F3 on any of the XLR port.
If you still have trouble, let me know.. I will make a video and share the link here.
