The IDEAL Outdoor Reporter Audio Setup (Comparisons) | Alissa & Jay

We are trying to experiment which is the best microphone combination to be used outdoors as a reporter mic setup and recording device. We find DJI mic 2 with Rode Video Micro to be the lightest and cheapest option to go with, but for better quality, we find Zoom F3 with Rode NTG 5 to perform much better in terms of noise rejection and quality of sound. That being said, it is much more expensive and a heavier solution, so it is up to you to decide which solution you would prefer. We also show in the video different combinations producing different results using these recorders and mics.
