The Most EXPENSIVE Lens I've EVER Held! SONY E-MOUNT FE 600mm F4 GM OSS Lens | Alissa & Jay

I got an opportunity that only a few people in this entire world would get! The Sony E-Mount FE 600mm F4 GM OSS!
This behemoth of a lens that I am holding here is a 13,000-dollar lens, the most expensive lens made by Sony today! I am conflicted in my emotions between being EXCITED by the privilege of playing with it and at the same time being too cautious not to drop it down. It weighs about 3 kilograms, that is as much as I weighed when I was born. To be fair, this colossus of a lens is not the biggest in the world but it is THE giant among the Sony E-mount lenses. It has the brightest of the aperture of F/4 at its focal length of 600mm. This prime tele-lens, although it has a rear drop-in filter, it lacks the built-in teleconverter a lens that only costs half the price. Fortunately, it supports both 1.4x and 2x teleconverters, which can increase the range to about 900mm and 1200mm with a reduction in light-gathering capability equivalent to F/6 and F/8 respectively. As far as the build goes, I have only 2 complaints - the lack of a built-in teleconverter and the lack of an Arca-swiss style lens collar. Otherwise, it is a crazy premium lens in design, build, price, and image quality. It does deliver images with the G-master touch. In my dictionary, the G-Master touch means the images are sharp and with good micro-Freaking-contrast with minimum post-processing requirement. Here are some of the features I like about this lens.

Rubber finishing on the lens hood
And finally the image quality.
To conclude, if I had all the money in the world, this lens would never leave my bag and probably I would be walking around with a hip and shoulder support to carry it. I love shooting wildlife photos and this lens would produce exceptional images and I have no doubt about that! Thank you for listening to my rant and Have a great day!
