muy buen video, lo acabo de copiar y queda genial. Excelente tutorial..!!
Sadly, isn't working for me. I followed your instructions, set the reference frame, even tried changing the global in and out but nothing helped. The node starts glowing red when I try to analyze the timeline. I had a look inside the macro and it seems the optical flow is causing it but I could not determine why. I tried multiple different footages too. Any idea what could be the problem?
Is it possible to access to that smear we see in the reverse step to drive deformations/distortion?
To drive a smear effect
This is all what I wanted!! Many many thanks for this.
Wow
wild! Amazing!!
very intuitive process 🤯
1. what's the shortcut to switch between the viewers in fusion? 2. is there any specific reason to use merge for volume pass and not the channel boolean? 3. what's the shortcut to enable/disable a node in fusion? 4. Is there any specific use case scenario of having dir, in-dir, color for diffuse, spec & transmission? coz we can setup the dir, in-dir, color in blender's compositor and render straight away diffuse, spec & transmission. so instead of 9 layers we can have 3 layers alone, right? 5. depth should be in z channel, right? instead of having it in red channel? and same goes with uv channels?
1 there is no shortcut to switch viewer. Each viewer has an A/B buffer. The shortcut for that is "," and "." 2 because it's a simple Over. 3 cmd+P ctrl+P 4 the more passes you have the more contro in comp. 5 depends. Fusion has a fixed channel structure so in general I'd say yes but there are exceptions.
could you drop a tutorial on compositing cg elements in live footage
impressive results!!
is it possibile do the same with logo?
PURO LOVE
There is no rotohelper in a reactor. Or should I use only studio version on davinci?
i somehow found the same cloud image
how you got davinci looking like that?
it's Fusion Studio.
Hey @MillolabTuts! I love your tutorials and would be interested to see how you'd create the "A24" logo in Davinci Resolve? I've seen a number of After Effects tutorials, but not one for the Fusion page. It seems simple, but there's a lot of little complexities that makes it quite elegant.
This would be awesome... simple but elegant!
Great tutorial, but can you tell me where I can find this tool from 14:10 ?
Hey bro if it's not too much trouble Can i have your Facebook or Instagram to Ask you there some questions about fusion that would bé really helpful for me and i won't annoy you too much And i am your fan from morocco 🇲🇦
Great examples Emillio ! I also very much prefer to planar camera track in Fusion, very useful !
man! this looks so much better than the one made in element 3d.
Great tutorial Millolab !
Holy fucking shit... This is... I don't even know what to say. Are you, by chance, the Mastermind? Like, did you wake up that morning and said "Yup, I got my plan fully worked out" or did you figure it out by trial and error? Perhaps you searched for individual effects and solutions to later combine them in this tutorial? Whatever you did, it came out awesome. Though, wouldn't it have been easier to make this in dedicated 3d rendering/animations programs like Blender?
Well. I had my plan in mind. Also, yes, creating this in Blender would have been probably easier. But you know I like a challenge sometimes! :)
@@millolab In fact, I did NOT know you liked challenges. But I do now. So here a riddle: What is orange and has a blue circle in it's center?
off topic but, are u ever gonna make an updated tutorial on the crt effect u did
can you share that image?/
Thank you so much for making this in-depth tutorial. Really helped me figure out a lot. I had been jumping a bit around youtube to find something akin to this. However this was way more in-depth, clear and to the point. And included som proper real-world cases. Thank you for making this!
thank you so much
It's so nice and rare to see videos of advanced techniques shared just for the pleasure of passing on knowledge. Your channel is priceless. Thank you very much for that tutorial.
the colors and composite mode kept getting missed up out of no where for me, Im ded, 4 hours wasted
I don't understand your comment.
@MillolabTuts It's alright mate, started from the beginning and got it right, cheers
amazing
this is deep compositing with Fusion, thanks for the tutorial.
sir, your channel is a blackmagic fusion advanced goldmine
Thanks man!
Hi, great video. I'd love to see/buy a whole masterclass of you going in the details of different techniques and worklfows for fusion. The way you worked with the passes here seems really useful - what benefit would have deep compositing compared to what you did?
well, deep is a completely different beast. Sadly it's not yet available in Fusion, so...
@MillolabTuts At 14:45 you add a Camera Instance to a Shape3D node and this creates a Merge3D node with a green arrowhead connecter (=foreground). When I copy these actions I don't get a green arrowhead, but a white one labeled SceneInput2. The resulting output from the copied Renderer3D node shows only an even bluish/teal square, and not the faded reflections you show in the video. I checked all the nodes from the jpg, fastnoise, reflect and everything in between, and can't figure out why I can't get the same results as you. (obviously I'm a beginner, but willing to learn). Is there a way for you to share the code for this project ?
When I saw how good the result looked when you put the logo on the actor's arm I actually said "Holy shit!" out loud, to myself. This is so powerful!
Bravo Emilio!!!😉👍
is there away to make it increase as the clip goes on? i need to make a scene where the fire starts slowly and becomes hotter and hotter
Amazing. Gonna have to save this one for later.
that key looks really good on. that BG. Would like to see a full walk through start to finish how you did the DIVISION and SUBTRACT operations.
I do have a “advanced keying” tutorial on my channel where I explain the subtract/add process (additive keying)what I’m doing here it’s basically the same thing but a bit more fancy.
I made a tutorial called "Advanced Keying" where I show the subtract/plus technique. You should be able to figure out the divide/multiply part! :)
@@millolab thanks i think i found it.
@@MillolabTuts found it thanks
where to find ml_fastexpoglow ? I found the macro fastexpoglow on Steakunderwater, but nothing with ml_ in front of it...
Thank you so much for taking your time to share this wonderfull insights
Thanks for sharing this.
That's next level work. Nice, thank you.
I love Milio tutorials!
Great tutorial, thanks for Pro Tips!
Hi Emilio, it's a very thorough tutorial. The only thing I didn't quite understand was why this was needed, because in your starting point it already looks pretty nice. It would have helped me to see what the problem was with the footage, before you started on improving it. You also mention in the beginning that the image is prekeyed, but in the end you show that there still is a green background as well. But again: very nicely done and it's easy to follow along.
The footage was prekeyed in the sense that I did the key myself as I showed in the end of the video. This specific footage had a very little edge problem but my goal here was to showcase how to extend edges based on an alpha more than anything else… hope this answers your question!
Ditto on the why?
For some reason a previous answer of mine has disappeared from RUclips… anyway, I did not want to show the keying process. The video intent is to showcase the edge extension techniques. Why using edge extend? Sometimes it happens that a good key, with a good despill and additive keying is just not enough. In those cases edge extension is your best friend.
Hey there... Actually this technique is also sometimes needed to fix too noisy edges, and/or to help doing the technique also quickly showed here which is edge matte/core matte. Being aware of the rest, I particularly appreciated the basic but efficient custom tool operation to round values of in between alpha ones, grazie mille ;)
@@MillolabTuts Hey Emilio, how far down would you prioritize edge extension in the list of techniques you'd use, ie core and edge matte first, good despill next, additive key, any other techniques then use edge extension as a last resort? also which of these methods are actually implemented in the AdvancedEdgeExtend fuse, feels like the clean plate method?
Awesome! Thank you.
Thanks for this Pro Tips 🙏.
Thank you for sharing. One of the best tutorials for fusion. I need to see it a couple times to understand all you explain. Cheers!
amazing
Hello. The fact is that ml_additiveKeyer does not work in my project in any way. NONE of these plugins. Are you sure it's working correctly? Since he's not at Davinci, not at Fusion, he doesn't want to work... I changed the depth in the project and global settings, maybe in a different way. And your video doesn't say anything about it. If it's not difficult for you, make a video on how to do everything right, or describe it in more detail in both Fusion and Davinci. Thank you in advance. P/S Your lessons and plugins are amazing. I really want to touch them in my projects.
